[DL-C] Maybe dinner was such a bad idea.

Kendra had scurried about all day. She had convinced her gather, Zen to
let her out of her shift that evening. So involved in her packing she
realized she hadn't eaten anything all day. It was a little before 7pm.

'Maybe Kehan would still like to have dinner with her after all.'
She thought to herself and walked down the hall to his room grabbing the
wildflower he had given her earlier that morning. She knocked on it and
waited for a response. She nervously fumbled with the flower as she waited.

The door opened suddenly and a short balding man peered at her in
half sleep. "Yes?"

"Oh...is Kehan here?" She asked nervously, shocked not to see
Kehan's face in the doorway.

"Kehan? Who the hell is Kehan, woman?" He relpied rubbing his
tired eyes.

"Kehan...this is his room...do you know where he is?" Her heart
sank and she was confused and a bit shaken.

"This is my room and you woke me up...I haven't slept for three
solid days woman! And I can assure you there is no Kehan here...now please
go away!" The short balding man slammed the door.

Kendra leaned up against the wall, looking at the flower in her hand. Kehan
was gone. She was half hoping she might be able to convince Keahn to join
her on this trek. While she trusted Dirk and Kalyan it would have been
nice to have Kehan along too.

She had only met him a few days prior, but she already missed his presence
at the tavern. Something she hadn't thought about when she decided to
leave for Cleft...and now it was too late. She'd probably never see him
again.

She went down the stairs, thinking he might be having a drink at the
tavern. But he was no place to be found. She found her way back to her
room and finished the last of her packing, suddenly she wasn't as thrilled
to be leaving. But her mind said that this was right for her...she was
wasting away her at the tavern. The morning was coming soon and she needed
to get some sleep before the left for Cleft in the morning.
