[DL-C] Concern

[Cynthia]
While Dan'yar's report on the fire concerned her, what really occupied
Cynthia's thoughts was the view of Brisse fleeing Dan'yar as Cynthia had
stepped out of her office.
It wasn't warren business, but the image stuck with her. It was the last
thing she saw as she fell asleep, and the first that came to mind when she
woke up.
He was sitting at a table, eyes roving the room, at breakfast. She walked
up, nodding to his twin daughters.
"Dan'yar, can I speak to you a moment?"
"Sure," he said. "I was going to be at your office right after breakfast,
though."
"This is something personal."
He nodded gravely and stood. They stepped out of the dining room and into
a storage cave where she shut the door behind her.
"Dan'yar, there's no way for me to beat around the bush, so let me just say
it flat-out. I think Brisse needs some space. She's only fifteen. She's
just been kidnapped and raped. She's young and she's confused and I think
you're making it worse."
"But--"
"No, Dan'yar. No buts. If she really loves you, she'll come to you when
she's ready. And if you really love her, you'll give her some time to get
herself straightened out without pushing."

NRPG: I just couldn't see Cynthia sitting by and letting things go with
this, Barb. Take this anywhere you want, but I don't see her backing down.
