"But she must have heard us!" Frog insisted to My'kel as the three 
of them stood huddling near the new wall being put up.
 
"How could she have," the tall blonde insisted. "With the wind blowing 
and the other noises, I don't think she did."

"Well I'm not willing to take that chance tonight," the third man said 
and Frog nodded his head in agreement. "What if she did hear us and 
tells someone? I for one don't want to get caught trashing your 
Uncle's place."

"So we wait a couple of night and watch the place to see if anyone 
else is watching it," My'kel told them. "And then if we don't see 
anyone we can do it then."

"Yeah but what if he gets out sooner than that?"

"Well then we'll have to wait until we know he won't be there and 
do it then." Frog told them. "He won't be inside there forever."

"Okay fine,"  the third man agreed, "But what about the girl I saw listening
to us? What do we do about her?"

"Nothing," My'kel smiled. "When nothing happens who'll believe her 
if she says anything. Besides you said you didn't really get a good 
look at her...."

"Maybe not! But I'll know her when I see her again."

"Fine so we all agree, for now we lay low and wait a bit before 
moving against him again? then when we're sure no one's watching 
or suspects us... we'll hit his place and leave it so not even 
he'll know what was there."

"Agreed."

((Well they had to have some reason for not going ahead if we're

(After mating flight)

He was beginning to wonder what was taking so long for her to show 
up. His meal had already arrived and he had eaten what he could and 
still she had not shown up. If Shinner hadn't already told him that 
the little Queen told him she was fine..... Well if she didn't show 
soon he'd go looking for her. He had to know how she was doing. 

Minutes went by and then the door finally began to open. He looked 
up, his eyes searching her face as she stepped through the door.

Neither one said a thing.  She stepped to his bed, sat on the edge, 
then changed her mind and instead stretched out alongside him, 
gently wrapping her arms around him.

His startlement lasted only a second before he slipped his arms 
around her as well.

"Are you all right?" he asked, finally unable to take not knowing 
a minute longer. 

"I'm fine," she answered.  "It didn't hurt."

"I'm glad," he sighed. It could have been a lot worse for her. His 
only wish was that he'd been the one to show her. Soon he hoped. 
Soon.

"I... I still want to wait a couple weeks before we..." 

He heard her say and felt his body respond to the very notion.

"I want to be sure I'm not pregnant first.  And I still want my own
apartment. Is that okay?"

"What ever you want. For now," he smiled wickedly down into her 
young smiling face. Now that he knew things would workout for them 
he was willing to let her have her way for a while.

But it didn't mean he wouldn't try to convince her to change her 
mind at some point in the future. For now, this would be enough.

(Lenna- morning after mating flight)

Lenna was feeling on top of the world when she and Blanchie finally 
arrived on the green to meet Katrina and Azure for the start of their patrol.

"Morning!" She greeted her patrol partner cheerfully, causing the 
other woman to wonder. "Ready to go?"

Katrina had heard the rumors about Lenna's reaction to the mating 
flight yesterday and hadn't expected her to be in so good a mood 
this morning.

"You seem.. happy this morning," she said, not wanting to come 
right out and ask her what happened.

"Oh I am aren't I," she grinned as if she knew a secret that no 
one else knew.

"So?" Katrina raised an eye brow in question. "What gives?"

"Oh nothing much," blue eyes held a twinkle as she drew out the 
suspense. "It's just that I'm going apartment hunting when we get 
back today."

Katrina frowned. "But you already have a nice apartment."

"Not one that'll fit two dragons.... she said innocently.

"Two dragons?" the girl looked confused for a moment then her eyes 
opened wide in understanding. "You and Your B'rand?"

Lenna's smile grew wider. she couldn't keep the news to herself 
any longer.

"He's asked me to be his mate!"

"Ah!! No wonder you seem so happy," the girl grinned knowing. "I 
take it you told him yes?"

"I'm sure he got the idea. Ready to go?"
