[DL-C] Finding a new home.

Andahar watched impassively as the two had sex on the beach... or at least
he tried to be impassive. Curiosity finally got the better of him as he
began to wonder about the hierarchy of the Warren. He'd assumed that the
WarrenLadyCynthia was just taking her due, being the equivalent of a chief,
from the new rider. But... he didn't seem to mind her being on top -- in
fact -- he was enjoying it...
After they were done, Bohoc noted, <I think we should tell Syren that we're
here...>
<Do you think? Okay...> Andahar replied, hesitantly.
>.. "No, no, that's not what I meant! Syren says that Bohoc is here!
>He just spoke to her. She says that he's bringing Andahar here to speak to
>us!" She tossed Trevor's clothes to him, then began putting her own on.
>"Go and talk to him, and I'll join you in a minute!"
Andahar laughed slightly as he saw the two scramble to dress. <I think we
should wait a minute, Bohoc, before flying down.>
> Trevor had just finished dressing when he heard the sound of a dragon
>backwinging in to land. He stepped around the obscuring bulk of the
>platinum queen, and saw the smaller green dragon crouching down so that the
Nomad
>rider could dismount. Andahar walked towards him, holding his hand up in a
>gesture of greeting. Trevor did likewise. Perhaps now they'd find out why
Andahar
>had left Cleft so quickly after his recent arrival.
> "Bohoc and I saw you arrive," the Nomad said without preamble. "He
>felt that I should speak to you since you come to our valley."
> Trevor didn't miss the emphasis on the word "our," and realized that
>this was where Andahar lived. Well, so much for giving this place over to
the
>rogues. He wondered even more just how much Andahar had seen *since* their
>arrival...
> "We did not mean to trespass," Trevor told him, hoping that his rather
>scanty command of the Nomad tongue would be good enough for the other rider
>to understand. Just then, Cynthia stepped into view. Once again, she
looked
>every inch the Warrenlady.
> "We did not know that anyone lived here," Trevor continued. "Andahar,
>why are you here? Why did you leave warren?"
How could he explain? How could he tell them about the horror of the wraith
attack on the Horse Nomad tribe? That it had been all his fault? He felt
his face burn and he quickly turned and looked back at Bohoc.
<What do I say?> Then he smiled. Bohoc loved the valley and the good
hunting....
"Bohoc missed hunting. " Andahar stated plainly. Again turning to look
Trevor square in the eye.
"But you can hunt from Cleft" Cynthia insisted. "You didn't have to leave
if you wanted to hunt!"
Andahar looked at Cynthia, again noticing how striking she looked... but she
was the WarrenLadyCynthia, and he found himself bowing his head to her
authority, "I am sorry that Bohoc and I left without speaking to you
first... But I am Nomad, I am not used to Warren ways... " He glanced up
to see what response he was getting from the Warren Lady. She seemed
interested, not angry. He bravely asked, "Why do you come to Bohoc's
Valley?"
Trevor stepped forward again, trying to cover the embarrassment of what
exactly he and Cynthia had been doing there, "We are looking.... for
places... for good places for... other dragonriders." His halting command
of the Nomad tongue made him sound unsure.
Andahar found himself smiling, he rather liked this dragonrider.
Cynthia continued with much more fluency, "We need to find a home to offer
some other dragonriders and thought this valley might be a good location."
Andahar nodded. "I can show you many such locations... Bohoc and I know
all of Nomad Lands."
Cynthia glanced sharply at Trevor. Had he heard that? Here was a guide to
the Nomad Lands, and they hadn't even known that when they had had him at
the Warren all that time.
"Andahar, I know you value your freedom.... but Trevor here has been mapping
Nomad lands... Perhaps you could return with us to Warren and help him?"
Cynthia gently suggested.
Andahar looked surprised. Could they really want him, need him? But what
about Qedhar? What if he ran into him....
<We should return> Came the gentle persuasion from Bohoc. <Syren says they
need all the dragons that they can get. I must help protect the Queen.>
Andahar found himself nodding. "Yes Bohoc and I will return with you, if as
you say we can always come out and hunt..."
"And your game would be most welcome to extend supplies of Warren." Cynthia
assured. She turned to Trevor and spoke quickly in the language of the
warren.
Andahar watched them both confer quickly, wondering what they were
discussing, but figuring that it probably had to do with what he'd
interrupted.
Cynthia turned to Andahar, "Will you come back with us?"
Andahar nodded and they mounted up and returned to Cleft. Perhaps he could
make this into a home....

NRPG: Again, just a short one. I was trying for something more exciting,
but I need to catch up with all the other posts before I figure where and
what Andahar should get into. If you want to run into him.... he's rather
shy :) but would love to make some friends.
