<<Morning - Day 8>>

>"Yup .. he said so when he was in bed with momma this mornin." Demee told
>her in his child like way. "So I can call him daddy now. Cause he's gonna
>be my real daddy, and live with me and mommy."

>Farr'in saw Meena's cheeks take on a rosy hue and squeezed her hand. Danki
>just chuckled.

>"Making up for lost time son?" she asked sweetly.

>Farr'in was thankful a few seconds later when a knocking sound at the door
>cut off any reply he may have made. He got up quickly before anyone else
>and said he'd see who it was.

Meena looked wistfully at back before turning to meet Danki's eyes.

"I knew it dear. Don't say I didn't tell you. I'm so glad you got around to
taking my advice."

Meena chuckled, "Well I didn't. Your son did. He's the one with the brains.
I'd have stayed here forever never knowing what I was missing .. or at
least never admitting it."

"I knew!" Demee piped up.

"And just what do you think you knew young man," Yarik asked him.

"That Unk' Farr'in was s'posed to live with me an' mommy," he said as
though it were the plainest thing to see.

They all chuckled at the boy, and Demee ate it up, beginning to relate a
tale of how now he had a daddy and how he told everyone first, but no one
believed him .. but now they did. He had Danki and Yarik laughing merrily.

Meena glanced toward the door and noticed that Farr'in had pulled it closed
behind him rather then inviting whoever it was in. She frowned lightly and
left Demee to entertain as she went to see what was going on.

As she neared the partially shut door she could hear the strained voices.

"Meri can't sense Blanchie anywhere," She heard Lonnie say. "Something's
not right. If she was any where near the Warren he'd be able to contact
her. Even on patrol's he's able to hear an echo type effect from her. Even
over a distance."

"He's not getting anything from her right now," an unfamiliar voice
remarked. Meena could hear the urgency and near panic in the deep voice.
She pulled the door open and recognized Lenna's mate B'rand standing beside
Lonnie. It must have been him, there was a panic evident in his face.

>"Nothing?" Farr'in's eyes opened a little wider. "That's really strange."

>"Come on," B`rand turned and headed back towards Rook.

>"Hey wait!! Where are you going?" Lonnie called after him as he moved to
>catch up with the redhead.

>"I've got to do something.. look somewhere..." B`rand told him. "If
>Meritanth can't sense her then either something must be wrong and we have
>to do something to try and find her .."

>"Wait!" Farr'in raised his voice.

>"We're losing time here talking. Let's go!"

>"We're not going to do her any good if we go odd half cocked and have no
>plan!" Farr'in snapped back. "We need to find Dani and get him to assign a
>few patrols to help a look for her. We can't cover much space on our own,
>with just the three of us."

"Four," she said moving toward the three men. She certainly couldn't allow
these three to run off alone to look for the missing girl. They would need
help.

>They all turned to see Meena standing in the door way. She moved to stand
>beside Farr'in and took his hand. "I'm coming with you. Lenna is my family
>now too"

>Farr'in eyes held hers. In them he tried to convey how thankful he was to
>her. How much he loved her for her offer.  "Four," he agreed. "But we're
>still going to see Dani and tell him what's up."

>"What about mother and Pops? What will we tell them?"

>"Nothing for now," Farr'in decided. "Why make them sit here and worry
>until we know anything. We'll just tell them it's Warren duties and leave
>it at that. they're used to us going off that way."

The other two nodded and he and Meena went back in. Danki and Yarik looked
up, "Who was it, son?'

"Just a messenger from  .. Cynthia." He grinned at them, "After all I've
gotta beg her to let me stay."

"I'm sure that won't be a problem," his mother smiled.

"No, it won't, but it's something that needs taken care of .. after all
I've gotta get back in the swing of things.. and that includes going to beg
my little brother for a spot in his wing." Farr'in said smoothly, "So if
you'd be willing to watch Demee .."

"Of course we are," Danki smiled.

"Where ya going?" Demee asked looking up concerned.

Farr'in move to the boys side. "Don't worry, son. I'll be back. Me and your
mommy have a few things to do."

Demee jumped up and wrapped his arms around the man's neck. Meena chuckled
as Farr'in had become more prepared for her son's suddenly attack and only
wobbled a little this time. "I love you!"

Farr'in grinned, broadly, "I love you too .. now be good."

"Okay," Demee promised. Then he turned to Danki, "Can we see Arly and
Leyean? I gotta tell them about my new daddy."

Meena smiled as Farr'in moved to her side hugging her to him. "Gods, if
I'd've know it would be this wonderful, I'd've done this sooner."

"What?" she asked.

"Become a part of your family."

She smiled, "It would have saved me a few unhappy days here."

"No more of those I promise." He kissed her quickly before leading her back
out to meet Lonnie and B'rand who were still waiting for them.

>"Let's go see Dani."

<<Late morning>>

They found the lavender dragon, but her rider was no where near. As a team
prepared to move the sick Blanchie, Dan'yar split the dragonrider into two
groups. One to patrol the skies .. the second to start searching the caves
where Lenna's dragon had been found. Then he and Farr'in headed to Telnor
to find a Dragonhealer they knew.

Meena found herself in charge of the group patrolling the skies. So with a
quick look at Farr'in, she mounted Vonn and led her group into the air.

She quickly broke her ground into small flights for 3-4 dragons each and
they began a methodical search from the air.

NRPG: Well I didn't go very far, since we're waiting to find Lenna. But at
least I think I'm caught up now :)
