[[Geode Warren]] Lenna was being quiet. Too quiet. She was standing there, B`rand on one side of her. Her twin Lonnie on the other, staring at the tall blond headed rider who'd introduced himself as Mc'key, Beta Wingleader of Geode, as the man was expressing his deepest thanks for their so timely arrival. She was standing there, her expression unchanged as the man told them what had happened prier to their arrival. The attack from the Wraiths on the Warren itself. In particular attacking the Warrenlady, Phaedra, who was able to fight off the attack with the unusual talent she possess. B`rand became a little worried when she didn't even blink as the young man told them of how the Wingleader.. while trying to give Phaedra time to get undercover, had died when the wraiths had surrounded he and his dragon just after they had managed to lift off. They had had no chance. B`rand thought she should have showed some reaction. Even if it was just anger at the loss of a dragonrider giving his life to save the one person needed to hold the Warren together. But the look on Lenna's face remained the same. The only time she showed any reaction was when the metallic green Queen had suddenly popped into the air above them. He saw her turn her head around to see what the commotion was all about, and then watched as several watch dragons had arrowed upwards on an intercept vector, before suddenly veering away to form a escort path so the Queen and her rider could land. "I wonder who she is?" Lenna asked suddenly showing the first sign of life since the Wing from Cleft had landed. <The Geode dragons say the queen is the daughter of Melith, Sr. Queen of Geode,> Blanchie told her. <They say she was kidnapped while still in her egg and only now has come home.> <<Home from where?>> Lenna asked her dragon. <From where the bad man and *they* are. The one's who mean to do this place harm.> "Sounds familiar," B`rand commented dryly. "Seems to be quite a run on the thefts of Queen eggs around this world." "Yes... I wonder ... it seems kind of ... convenient to have her reappear now though. Don't you think?" Lenna asked, never taking her blue eyes off the pair even as a dark headed man walked up to greet her. "I'm sure that's on more then a few minds right now," B`rand agreed. Lonnie touched her arm, and when she turned to face him. "The guy with her.. he's taking her inside to talk to Phaedra. Maybe she knows something about what we'll soon be facing." "I guess we'll soon find out," B`rand said taking Lenna's arm and starting walking towards the building where the smell of food was coming from. "But I for one think I'll do better with something in my belly, and you need to eat love." Lenna didn't argue. Didn't even offer a mild protest at the order. And that worried both brother and mate. A docile Lenna was something to be worried about. Both were suddenly worried that they had erred allowing her to come with the Wing... but with the healer clearing her for duty, they really had had no excuse to keep her from coming. They'd been in the dining hall eating for a short time when Dan'yar, Farr'in and Meena joined them. They went over what they had learned from the new queenrider and of the trouble they thought they would soon be facing. "This Ash`chenon fellow is suppose to be some kind of strategic genius. The best there is and they are worried that the knowledge he has of dragon kind and the way we fight can be used against us." Dan'yar told them, his expression grim. "We're going to have to change up our fighting techniques more often to try and stay ahead of him," Farr'in leaned across the table, his thick arms resting on the surface before him. Meena sat beside him, her left arm draped across his shoulder closet to her. "We've a few tricks I've learned since coming here that might work rather well if we can work them in. for a start I think we should use smaller groups and spread them out with a small space between them. Maybe stagger them in a inverted V formation. Maybe we could sucker them in and then close in on the damn things flaming the hell out of them." Dan'yar nodded his head slowly. "It's got some merits. Might work a time or two before they caught on," he agreed, wondering what other idea's she might have. They talked a while longer, everyone throwing out ideas, some good some discarded. But everything came to a halt when J'errid showed up and began to tell them how he wanted things to run. "We've been discussing that," Dan'yar, being the Sr. Rider there spoke up. "We think we've come up with a plan that'll keep the wraiths and this Ash`chenon fellow slightly off track. When he started to tell the man about the things they'd come up with, J'errid held up his hand to stop him. "I've been riding a fighting dragon for more years then you've been alive young man and I think by now I know how to run my Wing." The older rider told them, his eyes trailing over every rider at the table to make sure they all understood his meaning. "Now... I want the riders from Cleft outside on the green in five minutes to go over what I have planned." With that said he turned and walked out of the dining hall expecting the others to follow him. No sooner had they arrived by their dragons, suddenly a cry went up and they all turned to listen to their dragons for the reason when all hell began to break lose around them........
