NRPG: I think I got the order of events right. I think.

> "I told you this morning that things were going to be different," she
> reminded him. "Did you put her to bed?"
>
> He nodded. "After gorging herself, and getting yet *another* complete
> oiling," he said, smiling. "And speaking of which...you *did* mention
> something earlier about dinner, didn't you?"

"I seem to recall inviting you to dinner earlier, and after the day
we've had, now seems like a good time," Cynthia said with a smile.

"It shall be as my Lady commands," Trevor said standing and offering his
hand to Cynthia.

She stood and they walked arm-in-arm toward the door, "Sometimes you can
be too charming."

"I try very hard," Trevor said opening the door for her.

Cynthia laughed, "I want to thank you for the things you've done for the
warren, Trevor."

"Like risking the life of a hatchling?" he asked with a wry smile as
they walked down the corridor.

"No. I mean mapping the Nomad Lands."

"Which is on hold for the moment."

"And helping out on the green earlier."

"I was pressed into service."

"And having Trissana talk to Garoth."

"Which turned out to be risky."

"You have a response for everything, don't you?" Cynthia asked.

"Well, I did hold the door for you back there," Trevor replied.

"Maybe, but you won't get the next one," Cynthia extracted her arm from
his and ran on ahead toward the dining hall.

After a startled moment, Trevor took off after her. She sprinted,
laughing, down the corridor and reached the door a few steps before
him. She pulled the door open and after a few deep breaths said, "After
you, sir."

[Dining Hall - P'ker]
> "So what did she say," said P'ker with a grin refering to Azure?
>
> "She said it was fine with her, and who am I to argue with her," Katrina
> replied with a smile. "Just name a time," added Katrina.
>

"Whenever you're ready," P'ker replied, "Fighting wraiths makes me
hungry and I could eat right now."

"But instead of food you've chosen a light ale?"

P'ker laughed, "There's a variety of grains in beer. I tend to think of
it as a liquid cousin to bread."

Katrina smiled, "You're a bit odd, P'ker."

"My partner has been telling me that for years."

The sounds of laughter carried across the room and caught their
attention. They both turned to see Cynthia and Trevor walking in the
door arm-in-arm and laughing together.

"The mapmaker?" Katrina asked out loud.

"Is something wrong?"

"I don't think so. It's just that I'm surprised to see Trevor and
Cynthia together like that."

"So this is a recent development?"

"Very, I think."

> He wondered over to them.
>
> "Sorry I'm late," he said and saw her frown. "For dinner... we'd made plans
> to meet up and eat."
>
> "Oh Lonnie I completely forgot about that," the girl said
> and motioned for him to take a seat. "P'ker and I got to talking and...well..."
>
> Forgot about their dinner....
>
> "Well the plans were only tentative anyway," he said refusing the chair.
> "You two go on and finish your conversation. I see my brother over there and
> need to talk to him."

P'ker turned to Katrina, "If you had other plans, I understand. We can
get together some other time."

{Tag Kris. Does she try to go follow Lonnie, or does she decide to
stay?}

[Morning after wraith attack - Cynthia's office]
> "If you'll let me explain..." D'arcon was feeling less confident now.
>
> "This'd better be good."

She expected it to be good, this was D'arcon, after all. He could turn
a phrase better than just about anyone she had ever met. Which was a
polite way of saying that he could often talk the shoes off a horse.

> "I was going to talk this over with Trevor, before setting the ball in
> motion, but I couldn't find him. My plan was to have Adrian play the part of
> the bad dragon, making it a lot easier for Trissana, aka the good dragon, to
> get information from Garoth. So far, my plan seems to be working, don't
> you think? A few more meetings between Triss and Garoth should settle the
> matter."
>
> "You've got a point, but I still don't approve of your methods. No more
> threatening injured dragons or riders, OK?"
>
> "Certainly. Perhaps I should send Adrian to apologize?"

She could just picture Garoth and Adrain getting in a heated discussion,
complete with bursts of flame. The last thing she wanted was fighting
between dragons. Which left her with the nagging question of what she
was going to do about Shakar if they did find it.

> "You will do no such thing. Do I make myself clear?"
>
> "Yes, you do. Farewell for now." D'arcon left Cynthia's office. All in all,
> he was pleased with the meeting. He was still in charge and one step closer
> to finding the location of Shakar Warren. Just to make sure he didn't miss
> out on any information, he walked over to the hatchling barracks, to see
> Trevor. One of the helpers directed him to the Upper Greens.

[Morning after - P'ker and M'yer]

The partners strolled along the upper green taking in the bright
sunshine. "Where were you yesterday evening?" M'yer asked.

"Why do you ask?"

"I wanted to talk to you after dinner about our plans for measuring
Tymor. I thought we'd get a meaurement today and compare it to our
baseline."

"That's probably a good place to start. I'd be interested to see if she
lost any weight while tending her eggs."

"You still didn't answer my question," M'yer pointed out, "Where were
you last night?"

"Well," P'ker began when he was cut off by a roar. He glanced ove and
saw Blanchie launch herself into the air. He turned back to M'yer, but
it was too late, he had already wandered off.

*Zoranth, where are you?* P'ker thought to his dragon.

<Still sleeping until a moment ago.>

*Are you aware that there's a female in the air?*

<I am now. If someone would tell me these things in advance, I'd be
prepared.>

*You are impossible.*

M'yer, was fighting his way through the crowd of males trying to get to
Lenna. He was close enough that he could almost reach out an touch
her. His thoughts were merged with Dotarth, as the dragon surged toward
the maneuvering female.

So close...

NRPG:
I think I took care of all the Tags. John and I had talked about doing
a time jump to get Trissana into the air, and I don't mind. I asked the
admins about a new player or two, and I haven't heard anything, yet. I
would plan on doing a time jump in a couple of weeks, since we have some
open threads to take care of first. I'll keep you posted.

Barb: I don't know who caught Blanchie, but it could have been Dotarth.
I leave that up to you.

John and Kris: Dinner?

I think that's it.

Respectfully submitted,
Warrenlady Cynthia - Cleft Warren
