Lenna
******

[Late morning...start of afternoon]

The Apartment entrance was a charred mess when Lenna and B`rand finally made
it back up to their apartment. The walls had been scored a deep black and
ash rubbed of against anything touching it.

Lenna stood there in the middle of the dragon's cave after Blanchie had let
her off and wanted to cry.

"It'll take forever to clean this up!!" she cried when B`rand came to stand
behind her.

"It'll just take a little elbow grease to clean the soot off of the walls,"
he said then yawned as he stretched his arms up over his head. "I'll get
Lonnie to help me with it later. Between us it shouldn't take long to set to
rights... Besides, it's not as bad as I was imagining it to be," he told her
after walking around the cave and coming to stand just before the door
leading into the human's space.

"If you come look, you can see that the door just took a little of the
flame," he told her pointing out the scorch marks across it. "With a little
bit of sanding it'll be as good as new."

"Fine," she scowled. "Then you and Lonnie can do that too. And when you
contact him, ask him to bring a sweet smelling candle up with him. It stinks
in here. Now I'm going inside to take a bath."

"You're not going to help?" he asked hopefully but knew her answer the
moment her blue eyes met his.

"It wasn't *my* dragon who torched the place," she reminded him and then
pushed open the door leading inside and walked on back to the bathing room,
where she finally let the two sides of her torn shirt fall apart, and
flutter to the floor.

The rest of the cloths she'd put on fresh that morning followed and then she
leaned down and turned on the water to warm, the stood back up and went to
look at herself in the mirror.

Her hands moved up to cover her stomach... could it have happened? Could she
even now be carrying their child?
She'd know soon enough, she guessed. Why worry about it now. It would only
drive her crazy.

At lease she wouldn't have to worry about who the father was, if she did end
up in the family way. For that she was thankful. She wouldn't have to go
through the same worries Brisse had gone through.

She turned away from the mirror and stepped under the running water. The
warmth of it felt good against her skin.

When she figured she had stayed there long enough she turned the water off
and reached for a towel. Then wondered into the bedroom and over to the
closet to find something to wear.

"Going somewhere?" B'rand asked upon entering the room and finding her
getting dressed.

"Just down to the dining hall for a bit," she told him as she watched him
eyeing their bed. "Did you talk to Lonnie yet?"

"Yea, Rook talked to Meritanth, but he said Lonnie was a little busy and
couldn't be here for a few hours. So I thought I'd lay down for a while." He
eyed the bed hopefully, and she smiled but shook her head.

"I wish I could join you, but I have a few things to see to," she told him,
then sighed. "Though a rest after this morning... sounds great. But I really
do need to check on the injured dragon's I tended to."

She had turned away from him and started towards the door then stopped and
looked back over her shoulder.

"Oh by the way... you were wonderful earlier!!" she winked, saw his knowing
grin,

"Did you have some doubts I wouldn't be?"

"Not a one lover," she replied, then left.

<<Come love let get away from this smoke hole for a bit,>> she told Blanchie
who she found cuddled up next to Rook , who was already asleep. <<Let's let
these two males sleep. They're all worn out.>>

------------

It didn't take long for her to make her rounds of the injured. Some kind
soul, who'd likely heard about the mating flight and knew she'd be late
getting to her checks of the injured, had already seen to those in fair
condition. Though they had saved the worse cases for her... as long as the
dragon's live was in no danger.

When she was finished and still had some time to kill... she did not want to
go back up to her apartment until B`rand and Lonnie had had a chance to
clean the place up some... she wondered over to the dining hall for a cup of
coffee.

[Insert John's post here]

<He says he doesn't want to see you,> Blanchie told her rider when she'd
been asked to pass on the message to the injured rouge later that a healer
was coming to see him.

<<You tell that over sized lizard that if he doesn't allow me inside to
treat his injuries, he may never be able to fly his rider away from here!>>
Lenna fumed after hearing her dragon's reply.

<He said he doesn't trust the people here after what happened to him
yesterday, but I have told him you are a healer and only want to see if he
is all right and healing well... but he still says no.>

Lenna stopped walking and took a deep breath. Had D'arcon been standing here
in front of her right now, she might have been sorely tempted to give him a
piece of her mind.
If not for his interference she might not now be having all this flack out
of the rouge and could already be finished treating him.

If the man knew what was good for him... he'd be wise to stay out of her way.

<<Blanchie love... any idea's you think I might try?>> she asked suddenly
feeling deflated.

<I've asked the little one of the mapmaker's so talk to him for us,> the
purple told her.

Trissana?

<He likes Trissana.... you can go in now... but don't make any sudden moves
and tell me all you are going to do so I can tell the dragon.>

It didn't take her long to look over the injuries the rogue had suffered and
she had been sure to remember to have Blanchie tell him what each move she
made had been.

At one point when she moved out of his line of sight, the dragon's head came
up so quickly that it startled her and she stepped back away from him with
her hands up where he could see them.

"I'm not up to anything big guy!" she said aloud, waving her hands.
<<Blanchie tell him I just need to have a look at the burn under his wing.>>

She stood where she was for a minute until the dragon moved and lifted his
wing up a bit to let her see it, then she completed her exam and came around
to the front of him so he wouldn't have to strain his neck any longer to
keep her in sight.

"Thank you Garoth," she said and bowed slightly. "I think you are healing
just fine and should be able to fly again soon... but give it a few days to
be sure..."

She didn't know if he understood her or if Blanchie had repeated her words
to him, but Lenna saw his head nod slightly and then drop to the ground as
if he was dismissing her.

"That's gratitude for you," she muttered under her breath as she left the cave.

After a quick trip by to see her parents, she finally had Blanchie come get
her and take her home to find the place looking a whole lot better than it
had when she'd left.

B`rand and Lonnie had worked hard to get it in shape.
It was no wonder he was asleep again when she finally made it back and then
after undressing, she climbed in beside him and felt him reaching for her in
his sleep.

Once comfortable, she was soon into dream land herself...

for the first time in some months the dream came to her in the night. She
woke up sweating, and only the feel of her mate's arms around her holding
her and his soft words of comfort, helped to calm her until she was able to
drift into a peaceful sleep that lasted until morning.

Turner
*******

She should have been here by now... shouldn't she, Turner wondered for the
fourth time in the last half hour. Maybe she forgot? Maybe she'd changed her
mind?

No.. something just came up, he told himself, but couldn't help looking
towards the entrance to the dining hall as if to conjure her up.

"So you joining us tonight for a few drinks Turner?" One of his friends asked.

"Don't think so," he shook his head. "got some work to do for a friend."

"Anyone we know?" the other man asked, grinning. They couldn't help but
notice his good mood earlier and after hearing about his night... they began
to wonder.

"One of the dragonriders," was all he said and then saw her walk in.

"Starting to wonder about you," he said. "Thought you'd forgotten to stop
by for me!" She noticed, though, that he was grinning broadly.

"Sorry," she said, smiling also. "We're flying our patrols a bit long
today, to make sure no more wraiths are lurking around. You ready?"

Turner bowed theatrically and picked up a heavily laden
toolbelt. "Got everything right here," he told her. "Of course you know,
this is going to delay the completion of one of the new dragonrider apartments!"

Kellie grinned at the smith. "Delay Trevor's, then," she told him. "He
owes his poor mother a favor or two!" Turner bid his companions goodbye,
and the two of them exited the dining hall together.

Even burdened by the heavy toolbelt, Turner sprang lightly up onto Varie's
saddle and extended his arm down to help Kellie up. She made sure, this
time, that both of them had their riding straps fastened, though Turner
protested that they were unnecessary for the short ride up to her apartment.
She also checked to make sure that all of Turner's tools were properly
fastened before she told Varie to take off.

"Hey, she's going the wrong way!" Turner called out, as Varie suddenly
veered away from the apartment entrance and soared up over the top of the Cleft.

"I know!" she called back, smiling broadly. "Since you're going to be
spending the afternoon working, Varie and I thought we'd give you a little
joyride first. You don't get airsick, do you?"

"No, I doooooon't!" Turner shouted, extending the last word out in surprise
as Varie suddenly executed a barrel roll, turning both herself and her
passengers upside down momentarily.

Gods this was fun!! He couldn't remember the last time he'd been on a dragon
enjoying himself so much.

He was thrilled a few seconds later when Varie repeated the maneuver - but
this time doing a quick snap roll that pushed both riders hard against their
riding straps.

His arms moved around her when she was pressed back against him. A feeling
he found kind of nice.

Turner was laughing heartily. "Can she do loops?" he called.

"She's as loopy as they come, Turner!" Kellie told him.

True to her riders word, the dragon executed a perfect loop-de-loop right
into a second and third one before straitening out into normal flight.

Just as he was beginning to think his fun was over for the day Varie pulled
herself up into a steep climb. Gravity and centrifugal force combined to
push Kellie back against Turner, and he couldn't help but notice how
firm...yet soft she felt in his arms. She seemed to fit perfectly against him...

Varie had come to the top of her climb then suddenly she was pushing herself
over into a steep dive to buzz the green.

It took him only a few seconds to figure out why as she came out of her dive
and he saw the amused expression on Trevor's face where the boy had been
standing beside his hatchling.

He couldn't help but laugh as they soared over the top of him, and waved
down to him. Kellie was doing the same and he found himself liking the sound
of her laugh.

All to soon the dragon was soaring upwards again and this time he knew his
ride was over. For now at lease, but he found himself hoping for a repeat
performance soon.

"Gods that was fun!!" Turner was still grinning after the two humans had
dismounted from Kellie upon arriving at the apartment. "I'd forgotten how
much fun that could be. It's been awhile since Lenna last took me up on
Blanchie like that."

He turned from the rider and bowed low to the dragon.

"Thank you Varie! That was fun!"

It surprised him when the dragon reached out with her snout a few seconds
later and gave him a gentle push towards the door leading inside.

Turned laughed, thinking he understood what Varie was trying to tell him.

"So now I have to go to work in trade for the fun I just had huh?" he
grinned at her, and bowed again. "Your wish is mine to command."

Kellie was chuckling when he finally turned back to face her and motioned
towards the door leading inside her apartment.

"Yon master on wings has spoken. It's time to work now that the time to play
is over," he said and then wondered about the look on the woman's face.

Without thinking he placed his hand on the small of her back and followed as
she led them inside. Once there, she moved away slowly and walked towards
the kitchen.

"I made up a pitcher of Triberry tea this morning," she told him. "It should
be ready if you want a glass before you start?"

"Why don't I go on back into the bathroom and you can bring it to me in
there," he answered and saw her nod her head as she continued on into the
kitchen.

------------

An hour later he had knocked out a large section of stone over the roof of
the bathtub and was finding it a little hard to move around the rubble when
he cursed himself for forgetting the bucket used to haul off the debris.

Kellie was in the kitchen getting dinner started when he entered the small
room.

"I was wondering if maybe you and Varie wouldn't mind taking me back
downside to retrieve the bucket?"

"What bucket?" she asked, turning to face him as she whipped her hands on a
towel near by.

He explained to her what it was and she offered to go get it for him if he
wanted her too.

"Unless you're in need of a break?" she asked. "You've been working back
there for sometime now."

"I'm fine," he assured her with a slight smile. "but I won't be able to do
much more if I don't get the rubbish out of the way, and you won't be able
to get into your bathroom and move around at all."

"Then I'd better go get that bucket," she quipped and brushed against him as
she moved past him on out into the living room.

His eyes turned to watch her and he couldn't help but think how sexy her
cute little backside looked as she walked away from him. Then composed his
face when she stopped and turned back around.

"Is there anything else you'll need while I'm downside?"

"Can't think of anything," he told her, shaking his head. "But I'll need to
empty the basket once I get it filled. Then I think I can get the shower
finished tonight and start on widening it tomorrow."

"Hmmm... maybe I'd better go by the dining hall while I'm gone and pick up
some more tea," she grinned. "It sounds as if I may be needing it."

"Make sure you get enough... this could take a while to finish," he quipped,
and then turned back towards the bathroom, thinking he could get used to
having someone bring him tea when ever he wanted it.

Not once did he even think about the real reason he wasn't in much of a
hurry for the repairs to be finished. He just plan liked being around the woman.

Then again... he sighed upon seeing the big pile of stone debris that had to
be removed before he could go on working. At times like this he might wish
for a few other pair of hands helping him, but only to haul of the rubble.

He worked hard moving as much of the bigger pieces as he could out into the
main dragon chamber, so that they wouldn't have far to move them when Kellie
got back.

He was beginning to get hot with all the manual labor he was doing and
stopped to strip off his shirt.

That felt a whole lot better, he thought as he made is way back to the pile.
Kellie arrived a few minutes later and found him just dropping the last of
the bigger pieces on top of the pile he had started.

She stood there about to say something to him, when her eyes caught sight of
the bulging muscles of his back, and stood there instead, watching them
ripple and smooth out as he let go of the chunk of rock then stood up to
face her. She remembered in the nick of time to close the mouth that had
dropped open, before he took notice of her expression.

"You've been busy!" she said a little to quickly, and saw the bemused
expression that came into his eyes.

The blush in her cheeks made her look like a young girl, he thought to
himself. One far to young to have a son as old as Trevor.

-----------

"Ah... Turner...." Kellie came back into the bathroom a few minutes after
she had gone out to tell Varie they'd be needing her services only to find
her dragon gone. "I don't really know how to tell you this... but it seems
my little beast had done a flit..."

"A what?" he looked up from the stone he'd been about to lay chisel to,
turning towards her when he heard her start to speak.

"A flit... she's gone off somewhere and won't answer me when I call to her,"
she told him. "I'm afraid we're both stuck up here until she decides to come
home."

It began slowly... then built until he couldn't hold back his amusement any
longer. Gods did she really think he'd fall for that *old* trick?

"What!?!" she asked, not understanding why he was laughing. Then it hit
her.... "Now wait a just a minute! You don't think I planned this with her..."

"I didn't say that!" he grinned, enjoying her protests.

"Cause if you do...well... I didn't !!"

In stead of looking angry at the dragon's plotting, Kellie was relieved to
see he was finding the whole thing funny. She couldn't help it. His deep
chuckle was infectious. She found herself giggling like a young school girl.

"Wonder if Varie's trying to tell you something?" he asked, eyes widening in
innocence as he moved slowly towards her.

"What would that be?" she asked, her eyes meeting his as she watched him
advance. Her feet refused to move, even when she ordered them to back up.

He came to a stop just inches from her and stood there looking down at her
upturned face. The rosy blush was back in her cheeks he noticed, and
wondered what she would do if he leaned his head just a little closer and
kissed her.

No.. better not take the chance this soon, he sighed inwardly and made his
tone sound light-hearted.

"That you'd better find something to fix up here to feed me with," his voice
sounded almost like a seduction. "I'm hungry woman. After all this hard work
I've been doing."

"Oh you!!" she giggled and slapped his arm. "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

--------

Dinner was long over with and still Varie didn't appear. Kellie finally
suggested he wash up a little to get what was left of the rock dust off his
skin, and then suggested they play a few hands of cards when he'd come out
of her bathroom.

"Sounds fine to me," he agreed and popped down on the floor before the low
table she had in front of her couch. "What do you want to play?"

"How about poker?" she asked, shuffling the cards.

"Poker?" he asked giving her a suspicious look, even as he took the cards
she dealt him. "Why do I feel like I'm about to be hustled."

"By little ole me?"

"Right...but what do you say we make the stakes a little... interesting?"
his lips curved up in a wicked smile that seem to drive her heart rate
through the roof.

"What do you mean?" It was her turn to look at him with suspicion.

"Ever play strip poker?"

"Strip poker!?!"

He nodded his head waiting for her to call his bluff. Though the though of
seeing what she was wearing under that outfit was beginning to worm though
his mind.

He already knew what she felt like pressed up against him while wearing her
leathers... but...

"You're on!"

He couldn't believe she agreed to his suggestion. But hey... he wasn't dumb
enough to let the deal go by.

"You deal... your bet!"

"You just better hope Varie shows up soon or you might find it a little cool
in here," she smiled sweetly as her eyes took in his naked chest.

He had never put his shirt back on after taking his showered and just then
remembered that he only had two pieces of clothing on... It might be a
little cool in deed if he lost. But he didn't plan on that happening so quickly.

"Just make your bet."

"What ever you say," she smiled again, while her eyes looked him over. "But
don't say I didn't warn you."

An hour later he was down to his underwear while the woman across from him
still had on her bra and panties... and some sleeveless shirt she had been
wearing under her riding jacket and pants... long sleeve shirt.. and long johns.

He'd figured out he'd been suckered right after she'd lost her first hand...
and knew for certain after she had lost the second and third and still had
on more clothes that he did.

Then she lost and had to remove the little sleeveless number...

Gods she was beautiful, he thought as he sat there trying to pretend her
near nakedness wasn't effecting him. It was... in more ways then one, but he
wasn't about to start acting like an untried school boy just then. She
didn't deserve that from him after trusting him to help her out.

But even though his mind was telling him one thing... his body was
definitely trying to tell him something else.

When he again won the next hand and saw her reaching up to unclip the
fastenings of her bra... he decided it had gone on long enough...

"Want to call it a draw?" he asked noticing just how red her cheeks were
now. The color ran al the way down her neck and half covered what exposed
flesh he could see.

"You're looking a little cold," he gave for an excuse. "I'd hate to be the
cause of you coming down with something just because I as a better poker
player than you."

"The cards just feel wrong for me tonight," she tried to use that as her own
excuse even as she excepted the long sleeve shirt he held out for her. "But
the next time we play. You might not be so lucky!"

"Yea... dream on," he chuckled and reached for his pants. He suddenly felt a
little silly sitting on the floor of her living room with nothing but his
underwear on.

His eyes didn't feel the lease bit funny watching as she lifted the shirt up
over her head and slipped her arms in, leaving her slender waist exposed for
the briefest of seconds. It was so tiny he felt he could circle it with his
hands, and had to stop himself from doing just that.

He took a deep breath and turned away as he had to struggle to get his pants
buttoned up.

"Any word yet from Varie?" he asked hoping to get away before embarrassing
himself.

"No," Kellie frowned slightly. "The little hussy must have fallen asleep
somewhere. I'm really sorry."

I'm not, he thought. Then said the words aloud. "It's not often I have such
a good run of luck at cards."

"Just you wait!!" she responded. "We'll see who has the run of luck the next
time. Do you want another glass of tea... or I have some goo wine?"

"A glass of wine sounds good."

-------------

"Oh Turner.. I'm really sorry.. I just don't know what got into her... but
you can't sleep on the couch in here or you'll wake up with a stiff neck
come morning. You're just to big to fit on it."

"So what do you suggest?"

"Well... my bed you may have noticed is pretty big," she said slowly. "I
think we're both adult enough to share it. What do you say."

"I sleep in the nude." He grinned wickedly at her, then stifled the laugh
that almost came forth as her cheeks turned a bright shade of red. "But I
think I'll keep my pants on just for tonight so you won't be shocked."

-------------

When morning came, he woke up feeling more rested and comfortable then he
had in a long time. The warm body pressing itself against his, may have had
something to do with it.

He looked down at the black head resting in the crook of his arm, and let
himself enjoy the feel of her legs entangled with his. It had been far to
long since he'd woken with someone beside him, and he was reminded now of
what he'd been missing.

"Morning," he greeted her, when he saw that she was wake. His voice still
sounding a little husky from sleep.

"Morning," she returned, as she tilted her head side ways and their eyes
met. The weight of the arm across her stomach felt as if it belonged there,
so she made no move to dislodge it.

He was in no hurry to do so.

"So sweetheart," he grinned down at her after leveling himself on one elbow.
"Was it as good for you as it was for me last night?"

"Well now... I don't likely remember *honey*.. maybe you should remind me!"
she challenged, ready to call his bluff. She liked this teasing side of him.

Turner never one to let go of a challenge, smiled wickedly as he moved over
her before she could guess at his intentions, trapping her between the bed
and the hard lines of his chest as his head lowered and his lips met hers....

The shock that exploded throughout his body at the brief touch, made him
pull his lips from hers. Their eyes met, each asking what had just happened,
then he slowly, so she could move away if she wanted to, lowered his lips
back down to hers, deepening the kiss this time just to see if they would
feel the same spark.

It was as if lightening had struck.

He felt her hands move up the sides of his waist, over the hard muscles of
his back to settle around his neck pulling him even closer.

The feel of her hands on his naked flesh sent a few shock waves of their own
to certain parts of his body.

His hands moved up into her hair, gently tugging the silky tresses until her
head was titled back a ways, her lips an offering that was his to take.

And he did take... and give... Over and over.

Finally, when his brain reminded him that he still needed to breath, he
slowed the kiss down until finally, reluctantly, he lifted his lips from
hers and looked down at her to see if she was feeling the same thing he was.
The feelings he was now experiencing were unlike anything he'd ever felt
before.

"Well I guess I have my answer," she husked, her arms still up around his
shoulders, in no hurry to let him go.

"Guess so," he agreed, grinning. His fingers in her hair now lightly caressing.

"What do you think Trevor...?"

"What will my son think...?"

Suddenly both were laughing.

Lenna
*******

She woke feeling a little bit more worn out then usual the next morning and
was in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee the next morning when B'rand
joined her.

"So what are your plans for today?" she asked after getting up and pouring
him a cup of his own.

While he talked she began making breakfast and then joined him after filling
a plate for them both.

"Lonnie wants to make sure we get back in time for him to get himself
cleaned up for his dinner with Katrina tonight," he told her and saw by the
raising of her eye brows that she hadn't heard about that.

"Oh?"

"He tells it that it's just a dinner with a friend," B`rand laughed. "I'm
inclined to believe him because I don't think even he could handle three
women at the same time."

"You don't know my twin..." Lenna laughed.

"So what are your plans for the day?" he asked knowing it was her day off.

"I'm going to meet up with Thina and go over the plans for my parents
joining day party," she told him and got up to begin clearing away the dirty
dishes. "We've just got a few more things to set up in time for tomorrow night."

"Is Farr'in going to be able to make it back in time?"

Lenna shrugged her shoulders. "Not sure. Lonnie was suppose to go see him
yesterday, but I haven't had the chance to ask him yet. I know my parents
would be upset if he couldn't."

"I'm sure he'll be here."

"I hope you're right."

She got dressed after B1rand left to meet up with her brother for their
patrol then mounted Blanchie and had the purple dragon fly her down to the
green where she saw Trevor hurrying along the path towards the medical center.

"Trevor!!" she called out for him to hold up and then hurried to join him.

"What's up?" she asked falling into step with him.

"Trissana told me the rogue rider is awake now and Cynthia wants me to go
talk to him."

"Care if I tag along for a bit?" she asked offhandedly. "I'd like to tell
him how his dragon is doing. I'm sure he'll want to know."

"Sure...why not," he agreed.

With her long legs she was able to keep up with his brisk pace and they soon
arrived at the hall.

Inside she saw her brother Dan'yar and told Trevor she'd meet up with him in
a minute when Dani waved for her to join him and Brisse, who was standing
next to him.

"I didn't know if you'd heard from Lonnie or not, but he went to Norwall
yesterday and had a talk with Farr'in, he told her when she had joined them.

"Is he going to be able to make it home?"

"Lonnie said he was planing to, and was going to bring someone with him,"
Brisse told her, grinning so Lenna started to wonder what the young
Queenrider hadn't told her.

"Someone?"

"Seems he made friends with a woman and her small son since moving there,"
the girls said. "But he insists they are only friends."

"Right... Farr'in's never brought anyone to the joining day party before."

"That's just what Lonnie said he said," Brisse grinned thinking along the
same lines Lenna was. "But the little boy told Meritanth that he wanted
Farr'in to move in with him and his mama so he could be a real father to
him. Seems the boy is taken with him."

"The little boy talked to Meri? He's a telepath?" she asked. "then his
mother ...or father... must be a dragonrider."

"Both of them were," Dan'yar spoke up. "Lonnie said the father's no longer
there and the mother...who's a knockout... Lonnie's words... is the Alpha
Wingleader in Norwall.... Tergath also won her dragon in a mating flight
recently..."

"Oh?"

"Yup.. his second win since getting there,"

"Second.. boy I'll bet the riders there just love him," she laughed.

"Oh I'm sure," Brisse, chuckled. "Especially since the first one was a
Queens mating flight."

"Big brother sure knows how to make friends," she snorted and then frowned.
"Speaking of friends... I better go check up on Trevor and see how he's
getting along with that rogue rider you brought in. He's awake now."

"Before she walked away she turned to Brisse.

"Will you be going over to Thina's later to help with the preparations for
the joining party?"

[small tag Lyn...]

She continued on down the hall after leaving them, and wondered into the
room the nurse had told her Trevor had gone into.

She could hear the two of them talking as she pushed open the door and
suddenly as she heard the second man's voice a memory was triggered in her
mind....

It couldn't be... she knew that voice... would never forget it as long as
she lived...

The darkness... the feel of the damp cold floor under her...

She had to know for sure..

Pushing open the door the rest of the way, she stepped inside and saw Trevor
with his back to her facing the man laying on the bed.

At the sight of his face, it all came back to her...

She could see that he too recognized her as the blood drained from his face
when he caught sight of her standing there.

"Are you okay?" Trevor grew concerned when the man suddenly turned pale.
"Should I get a healer?"

"Don't bother," Lenna growled as she started towards the man. "There
wouldn't be enough of him to save by the time I'm finished with him!!"

She got off two good blows to the man's face before Trevor came out of his
shock and fought to pull her away from the man.

Lenna was wild in her anger. It was all Trevor could do to drag her away
from the man and force her struggling body out into the hall.

"What the hell is wrong with you!!" he shouted when he finally release her,
but kept his body between her and the door. "Ate you crazy!! That man in
there is injured!! Look I know you got a real grip against a couple of rogue
riders... but he isn't one of them!!"

"The HELL he's not!!" Lenna shouted back at him, her chest still heaving
with pent up emotion as she tried to get by him, only to have him stop her
again.

"That bastard was there!!" she growled while white hot anger flew though her
blood. "That bastard was the one who held me so his buddy could try to rape
me!! He's the one who left me to die in the dark back at the caves...."
