C'aranth looked at the men surrounding him and Renata. "Close your eyes." He pulled out one of the devices Nikol had made for him.

"What are you talking about?" She looked at him.

"Now." He threw the small device down, there was a large bang. He opened his eyes and the soldiers around them were staggering back holding their eyes. He had to remember to thank the blaster. He and Renata slipped past them into the shadows of the tents.

"Renata. I suspect there is something to your crawling about. A person must know their limitations." He and Renata started to move through the shadows to find the others.

As Kat tried to quell the fear that threatened to overcome come her, she quickly flipped Serina on her back and looked for any wounds. There was some light bruising but nothing serious. After Kat quickly checked Serina's pulse she dropped down on the pillows and let out a sigh. Serina was alive, but Kat was certain she had been sedated some how. As Kat wondered how they were going to get the immobile form of her sister out without notice, Andahar put his head in through the slit in the tent.

Katrina said with concern, "She has been deeply sedated Andahar. I am open to any ideas on how to get her out of here without notice, and back to the others."

Andahar stepped into the tent and started to help lift the girl. 'We will have to find something dark to wrap her in." He whispered to Katrina. Katrina started to search the tent for something. She pulled out a long dark cloak from a pile of clothing. A guard with a torch ran by the tent making the two freeze.

Renata slipped into the tent followed by C'aranth. "You do not have her out of here?" C'aranth noticed the sleeping girl first off.

"She has been drugged." Andahar replied before Kat could say anything. C'aranth just nodded in response. Andahar took the cloak and started to wrap the girl up.

"Be quick, we have another complication." C'aranth stepped to the side of the tent door and peered out the small gap.

"And what could make this more complex?" Kat hissed out.

"C'aranth killed Vorbis." Renata gaurded the back entrance, he could feel her leer.

"I did not kill him." He turned and looked at her. The tent door opened, tossing the flap back in C'aranth's face. A young guard stood there, a dumbfounded look on his face.

"Serina." That was all he got out before C'aranth had he hand over the lad's mouth.

His sword was lifted ready to plunge when Kat jumped up. "No wait. He is the one who brought me the letter." She pulled the cloth off her face to let him see her. His eyes relaxed, he had known what was about to happen. That is when C'aranth hit him with the butt of his sword. The lad passed out. "What the hell did you do that for?"

C'aranth looked at Kat a bit confused, Andahar mirrored the confused look. "To keep him quiet of course." C'aranth pointed to the girl. "Lets get going, the camp is alive, we will not be able to move about as freely." Andahar and Kat lifted Serina and slipped out the tent, Renata followed. C'aranth stepped out into the night air. It was crisp and wet. He followed the other forms that moved through the night, torches wisking between tents as the guard searched.

They slipped down the alleys that the tents made. Trying to move silently amoung the shouting and calling. The ridge they would use to get into the river could be seen. Kat had Serina slung over her shoulder like a sack of wheat.

A man stepped in front of them, the torch illuminated Andahar and part of Katrina. "Here they are!" The soldier called out. Andahar took one step then dropped spinning, his leg catching the other man's knee and dropping him to the ground.

"Go, Renata and I will cover you two." C'aranth and Renata moved to cover the two as shapes moved toward them in the darkness. A man was about to reach them when he tumbled over, an arrow planted in his shoulder. C'aranth looked at Renata. "I guess we have company." The two turned and started a dead sprint for the river.

The cries of men being hit by arrows grew closer. Who ever was shooting could not hold them off forever. Andahar tackled a man who was rushing toward Katrina. C'aranth and Renata helped her with the load, picking up the pace.

The ground ended and for a moment Katins, Serina, C'aranth, and Renata floated in darkness. The splash was barely audible under the water, they held onto each other and Serina who woke from the sudden dunking.

They surfaced gasping for air as they raced away from the camp on the rapid water. The beating of wings could be heard and then they four became gripped in dragon claws.

C'aranth looked up to see the dragon of his Warrenlady and several others. It appears they were not alone on this. He unwrapped the nomad headpiece to get the wet cloth off his face. "WarrenLady, we will have to discuss this!" He shouted up to Cynthia.

Andahar hopped up from the ground, the man he had tackled groaned as he held his side. Andahar turned and started to run. Between him and the cliff stood a very arrogant looking man. The gaurds quickly formed a circle between him and this man.

Andahar knew this man. He was the one who took charge after the General Tarkan was taken from the army.

"So, lets see how you nomads do in a fair fight." He drew his sword, Andahar drew his two and took a defencive stance.

The man rushed him, the blades locked. "Well nomad, what do you have to say?"

"Why do you only have one sword?" With two swords locked, Andahar's second blade glinted in the moonlight and there was a plop as a head hit the ground. Andahar shook his head.

The soldiers around him just looked on in horror. The quickness of the death was a shock, and the fact that their last leader was dead. "Get him!" Came the cry as they rushed to kill the lone Nomad.

Triss's claw snagged him up at the last moment. Andahar smiled as he rose above the crowd.
