Second Cleft post down.... two more to go.... Farr'in next I think cause
Turner spoke louder to me this time... he always did think he needed more
attention from others since he didn't have a dragon of his own to give it
to him....

She Said Yes

Kellie blinked tears out of her eyes. "Turner, I can't bear to lose
anyone again!"

"Neither can I," he agreed. "And I don't want to lose you. That's
why I want you for my mate. Kellie, I love you..."

She threw her arms around Turner and pulled him close to her, pressing
the side of her face against his own. "Oh, Turner, I never thought I'd
ever love anyone
again...but I love you too, you big gallumph!!"

"And so..." he prompted, turning her face to his and planting a kiss on
her lips.

"Yes, Turner, YES," she said wiping the tears from her eyes and kissing
him again.

The moment she said the words he felt as if a huge weight had been
lifted off of his shoulders as joy filled him. Up until he thought he
might lose her, he hadn't realized just how much she had meant to him,
and how much apart of his life she had become. He hadn't really known
just how deeply she had worked her way into his heart.

Until he met her and feel in love, he didn't know the meaning of the
word. she had taught him that, and now that she had agreed to be his
mate he was going to spend the rest of his life making sure she knew
exactly what she meant to him.

"Bravo!" Cynthia and Trevor chorused, both of them applauding.

"It seems he's smarter than you thought, Mother," Trevor said with a
laugh.

Kellie's lips slowly pulled away from Turner's and she glared at the
two of them standing in the doorway clapping. "Don't you two have
anything better to be doing?"

Turner wanted to second the question, but he just glared at them
instead.

Cynthia looked at Trevor and said, "I don't have to be in my office
for a while yet. Do you have anything you need to do?"

"I can't think of anything," Trevor replied mildly.

"Could you at least try to find something else to do?" Turner implored.

"We could try what they just did," Cynthia suggested.

"You mean this?" Trevor asked leaning close to Cynthia and pressing
his lips to hers.

Cynthia held him close, maneuvered them back through the door and
kicked it closed behind them. "I'm sure there's something that happens
after this," she said against his lips.

Kellie glared after them as they disappeared inside. Turner just
smiled and drew her close to him. "Well, Varie's rider, look at it
this way...you're not just gaining a mate...you're gaining the biggest
family in Cleft Warren. And, when those two tie the knot - you can tell
your new daughter-in-law not to smart off to you anymore."

They both laughed at that prospect. "But in the meantime," Kellie said,
slipping an arm around Turner's waist, "I think her idea may not be such
a bad one."

"What, right here?" Turner asked, pretending embarrassment. He himself
already had another place in mind. A bit of spoiling his woman and then
who knew what after that.

"I can also tell my new mate not to smart off to me," she reminded him,
motioning for Varie to crouch down so they could mount. This time, the
smug-looking green dragon did so without complaint. <Someplace secluded,>
she told the dragon, as she and Turner mounted.

Once Varie landed on her ledge, Turner refused to let Kellie do anything
for herself. Not even walk inside. He picked her up and headed inside,
then strait on though the living room to the bathing room he'd worked
so hard on and only then did he place her on her feet.

"Didn't you end up in the wrong room?" she asked, smiling sweetly while
wondering what he has planning.

"No. I don't think so," he shook his head and looked around. "This is
exactly where I was planing on going."

"Oh do tell me more," she grinned up at him.

"You'll see," he taunted and when she would have lifted her arms upward
to circle his neck, he gently replaced them at her side.

"But..." she started to say, then saw the wicked smile forming on his
lips.

"Shush...let me," he winked then turned around and started the water
running in the oversized tub. When he gauged the water temperature to
his liking, he turned back to her and moving slowly, he came towards
her stopping just before her. His eyes never leaving hers for a moment.

"What..." she got out one word before a raising of one eye brow stopped
her. the next few seconds were silent until his hands came up to slip
open the ties of her shirt and slip it from her body. The rest of her
clothing soon followed. Then his until they were both standing in the
middle of the bathing room with nothing to hide.

"Now what?" she asked and again tried to lift her arm to pull him
nearer, only to have him replace them at her side once more.

"I wish..." she started to say, but caught her breath when he moved
one finger up to cover her lips.

"Am I allowed to know the rules?" she asked.

"Rule one. No talking. Rule two. You're allowed to whimper and moan
all you want but no talking or the game is over."

She nodded but looked at him suspiciously.

"Good then now that you know the rules we can go on. Now you stand
right here for a minute while I go into the next room and if you're
good..." he winked and left the room.

He was gone only a few minutes but had a smug grin on his face as he
picked her up and carried her over to the full tub. Climbed in with
her then positioned their body's so that she was sitting between his
legs and his chest was supporting her back.

He reached around her and picked up the bar of soap and a wash cloth,
which he used to move over her body. Lingering in one or two places
that caused her to emit the previously mentioned whimpers and moans.
But she kept her word and didn't utter one sound when he moved off
and began caressing another spot before bring her to pitch.

At some point the washcloth was lost and she felt his strong hands
moving back over the same path he had taken before. Leaving her in a
high state of arousal that he did nothing to satisfy.

But she knew his game now. And wondered if she would survived before
he was through with her.

Some time later he reached around her and pulled the plug to let the
now cooled water out of the tub and picked her up with little effort
when he stepped out of the tub.

He stood her on her feet and reached for a towel and Kellie could have
screamed out in frustration by the time he'd finished drying her off.

But Turner wasn't finished yet.

He picked her back up in his arms and carried her on into the bed room.
Laid her down in the middle of the bed and chuckled when he saw her
knowing grin.

Little did she know the *game* was far from over.

Turner climbed onto the bed and positioned his body over hers, his head
swooped down to find her lips even as his hands slipped around her wrist
and drew them up over her head. By the time she realized what he was up
to it was too late and the ties that he had slipped around her wrist were
to strong for her to pull out of.

"Remember the rules," he chuckled when he saw the look on her face.

"Whimpers and moans only." He reminded her as his lips dipped to find
the tight bud in the center of her right breast.

And Kellie did moan. Even more so when his teasing lips and moved down
her body and finally came to rest between her legs.

Her reaction was so powerful and immediate that she tried to jerk away,
but the restraints held her in place as his hands moved to cradle her
hips, holding her there while he used his mouth, his tongue and teeth
to drive her into a whimpering ball of need.

He kept it up even when he felt the trembling in her middle start and
long into the night after the first explosion had faded into memory.

Several times he entered her and sought release but it was nearly dawn
by the time he gave into his own needs and brought them both to the
brink together.

It was only after that, when his heart rate had returned to normal did
he untied her and pull her into his arms.

"That was some game Sonny," she sighed and stretched her body against
him. "Next time I get to set the ground rules."

"When ever you're ready for round two granny," he chuckled softly and
nuzzled her neck before both of them drifted off to sleep.

[Next morning... mating flight]

They slept late the next morning then Kellie told him she wanted to
spend the day with him.

"What about your patrol?"

"We're not going out today. Meena and Dan'yar are going to be going
over who best to split up the wing." She told him.

"Well as Meena's partner shouldn't you be there to put in your two
credits worth?"

"Well maybe you're right," she agreed sighing. "Usually I love this
time... But maybe it won't last to long and I can come help you later
when it's over.

"It won't be all that exciting love," he warned her as they both
mounted Varie for the short trip down to the green to drop Turner off.
"I have to work on two of the new apartments since we finally got that
pipe in we were waiting on.

"I'll take my chances," she grinned pulling his head around for along
kiss before releasing him. "See you in a while."

.........

He was just starting on the second apartment and wondering how the
meeting was going, when she showed up.

"I do hope you came to work," he quipped only have serious when he
saw her. "We had two guys call in sick this morning and we'll be
lucky if we get this one done in time for the rider who chose it to
move in tonight like he'd planned."

"Just tell me what needs to be done."

The work seemed to go quicker after she started to help. Even, Turner
thought, if she really wasn't doing much. It had to be that he was
just glad to see her and wanted to get the work done so that they
could spend some time alone together. This being in love and having
a mate who loved him back, was turning out to be a good thing.

He was chuckling to himself when he heard her moan.

The difference in the moaning she did last night and now was what
caused him to look over at her, and he grew concerned when he saw
the fearful look on her face.

Just then they both heard the sounds of the Dragons challenge outside
and he moved to take her hand in his.

"It's not Varie is it?" he asked, fearing that someone else would know
her so soon after they had admitted their love for one another.

"No... it's worse..." she told him, turning into his arms and huddling
against him. "Varie says that it's Trissana and that she's scared
witless. Gods Trevor must be beside himself with worry right now.
I've got to find him!"

"Kellie look," he said slowly and held onto her hand when she would
have left. "I can't say that I really understand what a rider feels
when his or her dragon rise... but I do know that others can not
interfere with them. I believe Trevor will be okay. He's strong and
has a good head on his shoulder. He won't let anything happen to
Triss."

"But you don't understand..." she told him even as she started to
pull him out of the apartment. "Trevor...you remember about the
dreams I told her about... about what his brother... Oh gods.. I
don't know if he'll be able to take it.. and I promised him I would
be there and take him away when Triss rose... I have to go to him
don't you see?"

"No maybe I don't, but I do know that you have to let him go on and
do this for himself," he argued. "If you don't his dreams may return
and cause more hurt then you know? He's strong and in the end he'll
may be even stronger for it...."

"I don't know how much I wish I could believe that.. but I promised
him... I have to go. Please love... understand."

"Kellie you have to believe it. But you can't keep thinking of Trevor
as being a small boy. He's a man now and a dragonrider and he *needs*
to be here to help Triss get through this after what happened to her.
If you take him away now while she's so scared...." one didn't need
to be a rider of a dragon to hear the fear in the females tone as
she roared out protest after protest.

"There may be more damage done then any of us will ever know if he
leaves now. Honey they need to do this on their own or it could cause
un-repairable damage to the bond between them. They have to know they
can trust and depend on eachother in times like this. Give them that
chance."

He wondered if he could remember these words when it came Varie's
time to rise. And prayed that he could. She may end up with a
different man for a few hours in response to her dragons needs, but
he knew in the end she would always come back to him and their love.

She brought her hands up to rub over her face, before answering him.
He in turn waiting patiently for her to think over what he had said
and in the end he knew she had come up with no clear answer.

"I'll give careful thought to what you have said," she agreed finally.
"But in the end the real choice will have to be Trevor's."

"Then I wish him luck. Shall we do see what if anything we can do to
help?" he said, knowing she would do what she felt was right for the
son she loved. For no one doubted the love she as a mother felt for
the man who was her son.

They arrived just as Trevor came barreling out of their apartment
and nearly ran his mother over in his quest.

"I've got to get out of here," he said urgently, and Turner saw him
look around until his eyes finally came to rest on Kellie.

"I'll call Varie over here!"

Turner wanted to step in and stop her from going through with it,
but knew as a non dragonrider he had no right to interfere so he
kept quiet.

"Trevor, wait!" said Cynthia, grasping his arm as she watched the
racing dragons overhead with a look of alarm on her face. "Syren
says that this is wrong! Trissana doesn't understand - she thinks
they're trying to hurt her!"

"What??" he demanded, and Turner saw his face grow even whiter then
before as he seemed to find out something the smith could only guess
at.

He turned back to Cynthia. "I can't leave her," he said quietly.
"She needs me."

"I know," Cynthia said, and drew him urgently into her arms. They
stood together for just a moment, each needing the other's presence
as an anchor against the storm that swirled around them.

"It's time," she said finally. They all looked around and saw that
the male riders were clustered in a large semicircle nearby. He
nodded, gave Cynthia a last embrace, and then turned to meet them.

Turner knew the man wasn't as strong his beliefs as he tried to allow.
Saw him stop and turn back to look at Cynthia, as if drawing courage
from her presence, and then opened himself up fully to Trissana.

Sensing her concern, Kellie walked over, "He'll be fine," she said confidently.

But Turner saw through to her heart. He knew she was every bit as
worried as Cynthia was. Trevor was her son after all was said and
done.

"I certainly hope so." Cynthia walked out to the green and looked
up into the sky. She could see the sunlight glinting off Trissana's
pearly white scales as she flew higher and higher.

"Cynthia come back with us," Turner had followed her out when she had
walked away. "There's nothing you can do for him right now my friend
except keep yourself together and be there for him when he comes back
needing your support."

"but I'm afraid he won't come back," she said softly and didn't fight
it when he pulled her into his arms for a hug of comfort.

"How could he not come back to you silly," he chided her kindly as he
led her back over to where Kellie was waiting. "He loves you and that
will never change. Now let's go inside and you can cry all you want to
where no one will see you. Then you'll have to pull yourself together
and be the strong one when he returns needing the comfort he will
need."

Kellie was waiting there for them. She opened her arms to the other
woman and Turner released her so they could comfort eachother.

He wondered if Trevor knew just how lucky he was to have two such
wonderful caring women in his life who loved him.
