*Andorra's room, Day 2*
She was awoke, and he was looking at her, and smiling. Touching him and smileing, they held each other and listening to the rain. So wrapped up in each other they did not hear him come in until he was in the main room, looking at the tableau they had made of the pillows in their 'action' the night before. Andorra could see her sift next to her.
She was dressed and standing before Ahandar before she knew what she had done. "What is it you want cousin?" She tried to center herself between him and Nikol. He was just now in working order, she wasn't going to let her cousin break him.
"What in the gods names is this!" He pointed around the room with a grand gesture.
"This is my tent!" She stamped her foot to let him know whose ground he was tredding on.
"Oh, really, I would have thought it the den of a harlot." He pointed at Nikol. "This man was doing nothing but using you my cousin! He has been with other females in the warren, and has no honor."
"Get out. You will not walk into my tent and talk to me in this way." She pushed him to let him know she was serious. "If he is using me, then I am the one who is letting him." She let go of him and plulled back. "It is not as if many other men want me."
The room went silent, and she could see Ahandar flush. "I am not beautiful, I am scarred." She pointed to her cheek where the knife had left a healthy scar, a tear trailed the smooth tissue. "So what if he uses me. Perhaps I used him as well." She started to shake trying to keep from bursting into tears. "He said.. he said he loved me." She felt as if her face was on fire, and the tears burned her cheeks.
"I am sorry." Ahandar places a hand on her shoulder and pulled her into his chest. "It was just..."
She wiped the tears with the collar of her shift and pushed him back. "It is not like you don't have your own problems. You have a woman who would treat you better than any wife under your tent and you cause her pain daily."
Ahandar's face flashed anger. "She does not want me. What she wants is him." He pointed to Nikol who was now mostly dressed.
"That is stupid, she is my friend, and she told me that she loved you." Andorra paused. This may have been telling her cousin too much.
"Then why did I see them embracing?" He placed a hand on each sword. "Tell me that?"
Andorra looked at him. "Embracing? Is that all you saw?"
"Is that not enough?"
"Have you ever been with a woman, my cousin?" She watched him. He looked a bit confused. "Come to me in the next week, there are things we must discuss. If you are to be married." She turned away from him. "Please now, I must get dressed." She felt it was always best to try to keep them a bit unsure of what was really going on. And she would have to talk to Rainen.

*In Amber's Tent. Day 3*
Amber sat up and looked at Meena. "Help me up." She tried to stand and Meena caught her arm. "That meeting yesterday took alot out of me." She let Meena help her up. "I connot tell you how much of a help you were to me. I did not want to look weak and with your help I did not."
"It was nothing really." She helped her friend walk to the door and opened it for her. "We will have to see if the meeting did any good. I think that most of them would like you to remove Vorbis. That may sway them into your direction." She started up the slippery slope, Amber clinging to her and the damp air chilling them.
Amber had not been healing as quick as was hoped. Her body may have been worn down too much by the time they found her. Andorra had said that she was surprised she was still alive. And she did not look at all hopeful when asked what her chances were.
But Amber was not one to give up easily. "We will get you some hot drink and a soft bed once in the warren."
"Yes Nana." Amber mocked as they walked into the warren. "Will you also get my doll as well?" She smiled at her friend.
Meena laughed as well, "I just worry about you Amber."
"Don't, it looks like you have more to worry about than just me." She stepped out of the rain and into the first floor of the warren which was already ankle deep in water. "You may want to send someone out to check on the settlers. Make sure they are on higher ground."
Meena shut the door behind them and they started up the stairs. They had to pause several times for Amberylle to chatch her breath. Amber would look at Meena with an apologetic look, she did not like being a burden on her, and she felt like just that.
They started to rise from the stairs after a rest when around the corrner Davyd came with five large Warren men fully loaded with books. He was leading them like a sheapard would sheep, his crooked cane tapping their heels to show them which way to go as the books were stacked over their heads.
Amber froze, she was sure she saw Vorbis leave with another rider the other day. What was Davyd doing here. He looked up and their eyes meet and he was perhaps questioning her appearance in the hall.
"Your Ladyship." He bowed humbly. "I see your trip to the great beyond was cancled." He twapped a large man with an armful of books. "Don't just stand there, can you not see the Lady needs assistance. What kind of manners do they raise you with here."
Amber smirked as the large man quickly set the books to the ground with a warning from Davyd about being careful. And then lifted Amber from the other side, so much so that she barely had to walk. Davyd could do that to people, he spoke with such strength that people would follow for fear of the voice. She thought he could stop a herd of horses at full charge, them make them clean up any mess they may have made.
Meena eyed Amber as they walked down the hall, they were not far from where they were headed and although Meena led them Davyd seemed to guide them. Once at the room Davyd nodded a goodbye and herded the men back off to do the book lifting.
"What is he doing Meena?" Amber had to ask.
"Moving books, I guess..." She looked just as puzzled. "Do you think he will tell Vorbis?"
"Vorbis has gone back to the camp. Davyd did not go with him, they must have had a falling out... I don't think he will tell."
