Day 2
AFTERNOON

"Nikol! Andorra!" He called out and jogged up to join them. It would look
good arriving as a unified front to face Nikol's clan if that was indeed
whom it was.

Nikol grinned broadly as he saw the caravan -- with his entire family! "Ma!
Da!" He shouted and rushed forward to be embraced by all his kin.

Andorra hung back, shyly, with Andahar at her side.

Andahar was still fuming inside from Reain's odd behavior at the dining hall
only an hour earlier. He stood back to watch and observe. After all, these
were the same people who had slighted him when he'd visited their stone tent
in the "City".

Nikol was speaking rather rapidly with his family in his oddly accented
tongue. Andahar could only catch about every other word, but what he was
getting brought a satisfied smile to his face. He quickly hid it as Nikol
returned to where Andahar was standing with his cousin.

"Andahar... Andorra... My Ma thinks that there might have been a bit of a
misunderstanding?" Nikol spoke mostly to the young chief, knowing that
Andorra probably couldn't follow this complicated a conversation. "They're
going to be staying for a few days and would like for *us* to talk."

Andahar nodded, "Your... Ma.... is wisewoman. It will be good to talk."
Andahar gave a knowing look to Andorra.

A few minutes later, Nikol was leading several members of his family through
the warren towards the Warrenlady's office to find a location for the clan
to stay.

"But cousin, how can you be so certain?" Andorra asked, as she paced back
and forth in Andahar's apartment.

"They brought many horse, Andorra. Why else bring horse? If clan of Nikol
wish to trade, no reason to come so far to Cleft! I saw many village
nearer. No, bring horse for one reason! You must prepare yourself for
wedding, Andorra," Andahar stated emphatically.

Andorra just nodded, though it was obvious that she was still doubtful.
But, she would do as her cousin requested and make the proper preparations.

LATE AFTERNOON

<My rider? Sylois is worried...,> Bohoc suddenly interrupted Andahar's
thoughts.

<*Sylois? And why is she worried?*> Andahar frowned.

<It is about her rider, Reain...,> Bohoc began.

Anger burned through him, <*I do not care to know about woman!*> Though, of
course, Bohoc could sense in him a growing concern and fear.

<She is not answering Sylois. Sylois is afraid that Reain will do
something... bad,> Bohoc continued despite his rider's protest that he was
not interested.

<*Bad?!*> Andahar was already heading to the ledge where the dark green
dragon waited. <*Where was she going?*> He mounted up and the dragon flew
him down to the green, in front of the medical center.

<She is in there, but she is not answering Sylois... there is something
wrong!> Bohoc swiveled his head to watch the blue female dragon land beside
him.

<*What do you mean wrong?*> A cold fear gripped him as he vaulted off
Bohoc's back. <*Where is she? Does Sylois know where she is in there?*>

Bohoc hung his head, <Yes, she is in room with your hatchlings....>

[Snip from Barb's Post]
Then the door opened and she nearly dropped the brat as she whipped around
to see who it was, a lie already forming on her lips, but stopped when she
saw Andahar standing there with murder in his eyes.

"So it is true! You did come here to kill my sons! Are you MAD woman!" he
said coming towards her and all but yanking his son out of her arms. Then he
handed the baby to someone who had entered behind him and turned back to
face Reain/Amar.

Pain laced through her head as his hand came in contact with her jaw. Reain
staggered backwards suddenly very dizzy, but before she could fall, his hand
shot out to grab her and she felt a second blow before everything started
going black.

From somewhere she could hear men shouting and babies crying. But it all
seemed to be coming from a far off dream, only the pain in her head told her
it was for real, and her mind took her back to a different time when she'd
been beaten by her master.

But this wasn't her master. This was Andahar, the man she loved. The man who
said he loved her..... So why then was he beating her! What had she done to
deserve this from him? Why had he turned against her?

"Andahar why??" she forced out through bloody lips that were already
swelling up quickly. "I loved you..."
[End Snip]

****
Amar surged through Andahar's emotions, relishing the power of the man, and
enjoying the chaos that his anger and hatred brought to the nomad's
thoughts. These feelings were easy to control! "Murderer!" Andahar
screamed at the woman who cowered before his fists. He pummeled her, not
even caring that his own sons lay crying, pitifully.

Hands were grabbing him, pulling him back. *No,* Amar cried, *he had to
get out of there. They wanted to stop him!* Amar surged to the front of
Andahar's mind, taking control. *It would NOT do at all if he were taken
and locked away! He had work to do!*

<My rider? My rider! Stop, you must stop!> Bohoc's mind-voice called in
desperation. Then in a broader call, Bohoc bespoke Trissana and Syren, <My
rider is not himself! I cannot reach him! Just... just like Sylois could
not reach her rider before. He will hurt someone!>

Andahar/Amar twisted away from the hands of the men that surrounded him, men
that in another frame of mind he would call friends, but now, with the
wraith anxious to get away, he saw only enemies. He found his swords in his
hands, and growling ferrally, he circled away... the window... it was to his
back, and before anyone could move, he leapt through it. Rolling across his
shoulder to hip, he sprang to his feet and was off and running.

Away... to the Nomads... yes... Amar grinned! Amar/Andahar sprinted away
from the Warren, to be lost among the Clans. Rainen would shelter him! And
now... with the added fuel of Reain's shameful act of attempting to murder
Andahar's sons, Rainen would have no choice but to aid him! Amar thrilled.
Yes, they would attack the Warren and he would be one step closer to
fulfilling his task!

TAG: Barb.

Bohoc moaned pitifully. Sylois moaned beside him. The two dragons hung
their heads in fear and shame. What were their riders doing?

Trissana landed on the other side of Bohoc and nuzzled him, sympathetically.

<Triss.... I don't know where he has gone! His mind is closed to me!>
Bohoc sighed, deeply.

[Perhaps he is just angry at Sylois's rider and needs time to cool down?]
Triss ventured, peering over at the light blue female.

Sylois only looked away.

<It is not Sylois's fault, Triss. She's as confused by this as I am! I
thought her rider and mine... liked each other... like your rider and
Syren's rider? Why would they be acting like this!?> Bohoc snorted in
exasperation, a bit of flame flickering from his nostrils. <What are *we*
going to do?>

TAG: John.

NRPG: I know it's short... but it's moving things along!

Andahar is running on full Nomad right now... assume he'll be mounting a
horse to ride with Rainen against the Warren... but if/when Amar transfers
out... well, I think Andahar will be rather surprised!
