Andahar sighed, "But enemy still attack... wraith will still
attack ... only more. Need to get all to safer place!" Andahar
repeated this to Captain Grennel in his language, and pointed towards
the cliffs that were about a mile away. "I know cave there where all
can be safe. I lead you there?"
Grennel scratched his chin as he thought. "We would have to^" A
woman riding up on a horse cut him off, she was dressed in armor and
had a bow in her hands.
"Dragonrider, we thank you for your help." She slipped off the horse
and looked around, she could see the men were up to
something. "Grennel, would you mind filling me in on the situation?"
"Well, my Lady, the Dragonrider here says he knows a cave we could
fall back to. I think it would be a wise choice, we will have a hard
time defending this place." He motioned to the flat clear land that
surrounded them.
"We will stay." She said flatly.
"I do not think this choice wise." Andahar stepped forward. "You
will lose many. You should let the general decide. This is a matter
of war, and not of women."
Amber turned on one heal, she spoke in her best Nomad. "I am the
chief here, I make the choice for war."
The woman did not shake him. "You make a poor choice. You will
watch your people die here."
"We have fought hard to get this land, we will not give it up." She
stamped her foot, she couldn't believe she just did that.
"There will be on one left here, look, not even the warren can
protect you from that, and you will fight a wasted war." He pointed
to the cloud of black on the horizon.
She sighed looking at the sight. He was right, she hated to admit
it, but he was right. Everything they had here would be
destroyed. "Grennel, ready the elderly and children first. The
soldiers will stay until every civilian has made it safely to the
cave." She looked at Andahar. "Some can hardly walk, let alone
climb, how do you suggest we get them there?"
(Tag-Arly, sorry it is so short, just thought I would get this out)
