>Throwing back the covers, Dy got up and started looking for some clothes,
it was 
>a little to cold to be walking around naked.  She had just thrown on a long 
>shirt when Fae'Rhee arrived.  Pulling her loose hair from underneath her 
>collar with one hand, she started to wave hello with the other and stopped.

Fae'Rhee was fighting back the tears. She just couldn't lose another mate,
it hurt too bad. They simply had to find Zert.

>The girl looked awful; nearly in tears.  Quickly, Dyanisa walked over and
gave 
>her a hug, gently leading her to the bed.

>"Tell me what happened," Dy said soflty, finger combing 
>Fae'Rhee's hair.
>
>"I don't know!" she cried, nearly panicking.  "He said, 
>"I'm in a bit of trouble. Can anyone hear me?" and then he was

>"I'm sure he's just fine, Fae'Rhee.  He's a grown 
>man and is plenty capable of taking care of himself," Dy said 
>reassuringly.

>"But he said he was in trouble!" she protested vehmently.

>Dyanisa sighed.  "Are you sure he's in trouble, I mean real 
>trouble?"

Fae'Rhee paused, "Sorry, I know it's late. I'm scared. Jadain is gone, too.
Could the same people have taken Zert?"

>Dyanisa stood up and walked to the door, fighting the urge to pace.  *He's 
>not in the Warren, is he, Ra?* Dy asked.
>
><No, he is not.  Are we gonna go look for him?>
>
>*Yeah.  Its the least we can do.*
>
>"Fae'Rhee," she said, turning around.  "Why don't 
>you go get some sandwiches or something.  Sienra and I'll meet you on the 
>green in front of the dining hall."

Fae'Rhee was thrilled to finally get through to the young wilder. She was
wondering how long it would take before she believed her. She couldn't
understand why they needed a picnic lunch, though, at a time of emergency
and this late at night.

>Fae'Rhee jumped up and only stopped to give Dy a quick hug before running 
>out.
>
>Sighing, Dyanisa finished getting dressed and tossed the riding harness at 
>Sienra, who caught it easily.  She armed herself, grabbed her halberd, and 
>started for the green.
>
>Fae'Rhee was there to meet her with a small bag.  Quickly they got 
>themselves sorted out and were in the air.

The sensation of flight was exhilarating, but Fae'Rhee had to keep her mind
on matters at hand.

>*Tell Fae'Rhee we're just gonna due a circular search pattern around 
>the warren.*
>
><Done,> Sienra replied.  <This is going to be one long night isn't it?>
>
>*Sure looks that way,* Dyanisa said with a resigned sigh.

They circled the warren, keeping an eye out for signs of Zert and Jadain.
Fae'Rhee mentally called out repeatedly to Zert and Jadain but didn't
receive any response. She wiped away the tears and urged Dyanisa to
continue searching farther.

"We need some rest!" Dyanisa insisted.

"Find them!" Fae'Rhee protested.

"When we have more light. Later. But you can stay with me tonight," Dyanisa
said, noting Fae'Rhee's desolate demeanor as they headed toward the warren.

<Fae'Rhee, Maeve is missing, too. We are going to continue searching,>
Sienra said, calming the petite wilder.

Suddenly there was a pop and Fae'Rhee found that she, Sienra, and Dyanisa
were now flying over another location where there were lots of caverns.

<"What happened?"> Fae'Rhee asked in amazement.

<Teleport,> Sienra informed her matter-of-factly.

They searched a long while in this new location, but there was no sign of
the abductees. Fae'Rhee continued to call out and strained to hear Jadain's
or Zert's mind-voice, but all she received was silence.

They tried popping into a couple of other locations, and searching and
listening. The sun was starting to rise: Fae'Rhee heard Dyanisa yawn and
felt her own eyes droop. Fae'Rhee rubbed her temples that were starting to
throb painfully.

<Sienra, I don't feel so good,> Fae'Rhee complained.

<We need to get you back to the warren,> Sienra told her and turned and
popped again.

They landed on the warren green, and Fae'Rhee ran to the bushes and became
ill.

"You okay?" Dyanisa asked.

"I... think so," Fae'Rhee said hesitantly, "Come, let's search some more."

"No you don't! We need some rest. We'll search later. Go take care of
Alustriel and get some rest. When you wake up, let me know and we'll search
some more."

Fae'Rhee looked at Dyanisa warily.

"I promise!" Dyanisa responded, "I know some more places to search."

Fae'Rhee awoke with a start and looked up in the sky. The sun was high in
the sky and Fae'Rhee began to panic as she realized how late it was.

<Relax, I called Sienra and let her know you were awake,> Alustriel said,
calming her rider.

<Why did you let me sleep so long? You must be starving!> Fae'Rhee
chastized the turquoise and fuscia hatchling.

<You needed it,> Alustriel told her, <Now hurry, feed and oil me and get
some food in your stomach, they are on their way.>

Fae'Rhee and Dyanisa took off on Sienra, continuing their search in the
light of day. Fae'Rhee's head still hurt, but it was down to a dull throb.

"I know of one more place!" Dyanisa announced as they took flight. They
headed for the tall mountain peaks to the north of the warren. The air was
cold blowing through Fae'Rhee's dissheveled locks.

They searched a long while and were beginning to give up when suddenly
Fae'Rhee heard a voice in her head.

<Jadain?> Fae'Rhee replied, <Where are you, are you all right?>

<Scared, but not hurt, I'm in a cave. I can't tell where, can't see out.
Zert escaped, did he send you?> the boy replied.

<No, Jads, I was looking for him too. I'm with Dy and Sienra.>

<Get help, you can't handle him alone,> Jadain suggested.

<I'm going to try to contact Zert and we'll get you help!> Fae'Rhee
reassured the boy.

"I hear Jadain!" Fae'Rhee announced excitedly. <Sienra, call the other
dragons, and let them know where we are, that I heard Jadain near here,>
she told the opalescent dragon.

Fae'Rhee continued to call for Zert until she finally got a surprised reply
from him.

<I've had Sienra send for reinforcements, show us where you were held,>
Fae'Rhee instructed Zert.
