As Zert hit the ground he would have sworn that he had heard Fae'Rhee
return his call for help, but he wasn't very sure. It could have been
whatever was on those darts that was causing him to hear things.

He wasn't really sure how long he had been out when he finally awoke, what
he did know was that he was in a dark little room. When he first woke he
searched the cell, looking for a quiet way out. Unable to find one, he laid
back down and began to think about his situation. He wondered if they had
taken the Junior Warrenlady, and now that he thought about it why did they
take him at all. If they did take her, he would have to find and get her
out of here. As he continued to contemplate his mounting problems he was
interrupted by a young voice, that sounded a lot like Jadain and another,
arguing and then
something that sounded like someone getting hit. Now he was becoming more
upset, if that was Jadain's voice and someone just hit the boy, the
offending party would pay.... and dearly for that transgression. Not sure
it was the boy's voice he had heard he took a chance and called out mentally,

>((Jadain?))
>
>What was that?
>
>((Jadain? You here kid?))
>
>(Zert?) No it couldn't be!! How!! (Zert where are you. Did you come to
find me and take me >home?)
>
>He was careful not to let anything show on his face less he give it away
to the man before >him.
>
>(('Fraid not kid, are you all right Jad's?))
>
>(I'm all right but he says he has my mother.)
>
>((Not unless they got her last night and I know she was with that tall
>man. Cause he was >walking in when we were leaving the dining hall.))
>
>(Zert?)
>
>((I'm here Jad's.))
>
>(He's gone. Someone came and told him the 'Warrenlady' was awake now and
>he left. I'm >afraid he really has her.)
>
>((Jad's can you try to send a thought to Troy?))
>
>(I've been trying, but I can't hear her.)
>
>((Than that means we must be pretty far from the Warren. Keep trying
>though, maybe someone >we know will come look in this place.))
>
>(I hope so. He's crazy.)

Now Zert was even more determined to get out of this place. He was angrily
pacing the length of his cell when he heard, first footsteps, then keys
rattling, and then the click of the lock as it was being unlock by someone.
He stood very still and watched as the door began to open towards him,
before the door was even fully opened, he clamped down on the wrist of his
visitor, dragging the person into the room and shoved them against the
wall, while his other hand came up to cover the person's mouth and clamp off
any noise they might make. Then he spoke to the intruder in a clear, low
voice.

>"I'm going to take my hand away from your mouth and you're going to tell
>me what's going on here and then show me a way out of here," his eyes bore
>into her. "Then you're going to show me where they are keeping the boy and
>the woman I was brought in here with. Do you understand?"
>
>Kayla nodded her head, and slowly took a deep breath as the man moved his
>hand about a inch from her lips.
>
>"I can show you how to get out of here," she told him. "That's why I am
>here. But it would be impossible for you to get to the others. He had them
>to well guarded, and to try would only get you killed."
>
>"I'm not leaving here without them," he hissed.
>
>"You have too!!" she whispered firmly. "It's the only chance they have!!
>You have to go get help."
>
>"So you say," he sneered. "How should I know if you speak the truth?
>What's to say you're not setting me up?"
>
>"Looked you idiot!" she hissed back. "There are more people here needing
>help than some woman and a boy. He's got about twenty three girls and
>women locked up waiting to be sold to the highest bidder. If you don't get
>help they could be sold into slavery or worse. Now will you believe me?"

Zert wasn't sure what he should believe. But as she spoke he began to
belive what she was saying to them. After all, it appeared that she had
tried to be sneaky about getting into his room. Now this talk of slavery.
That just wasn't right. She was right in the fact that it would be foolish
for him to try and save the others by himself. So he nodded his
understanding, let her go, and followed her out the door.

>The way out didn't take much time. Zert followed the girl down the back
>hall way past some currently unused rooms until they came to a break in
>the wall. Both were just the right size to squeeze through, and after a
>minute or so she led him to an opening in the side of the cliff.

He didn't bother to pay much attention to his surroundings because he knew
when he came back he would be going through the front entrance of this place.

>"If you're careful, you can make it down in one piece," she told him and
>then pointed off to the left of them. "Go that way and there are plenty of
>places you can duck under for cover if you see dragons approaching. Good
>luck."
>
>"What do you mean...wait!" he grabbed at her arm when she had turned and
>started back the way they had come. "Aren't you going with me?"
>
>"I can not," she told him bowing her head. "It will be worse for the boy
>if I am not here to ... "
>
>Zert understood. He didn't like leaving her here, but somehow he knew she
>was right. "All right. I don't like it but, I'll bring help as soon as I
>can," he promised her and then released her hand. "Hang on just a little
>while longer."
>
>Then she was gone.

He silently wished the girl good luck before stripping down and
transforming. Now that he was out in the open he still wasn't very sure
where he was going or how to get there but he had to do it fast. As he took
wing and spiraled upwards to get into the jets of wind, he carefully took
note of the outside of his, and many others, prison. Knowing he didn't have
a clue to his whereabouts he headed south, away from this place of rocks.
and caverns. When he felt that he was far enough away that he wouldn't draw
any attention from any dragons that might be at that prison, he mentally
sent out, <Fae'Rhee is that you? I've found where they are keeping Jadain
and Maeve and we'll be needing some help. It's by a bunch of caverns. Where
are you now?>

<I'm with Dy and Sienra looking for you and the others,> Fae'rhee told him.

<Um, ok. I'm gonna send a picture of what the place looks like to Sienra,>
Zert told her.

Zert thought back to what the prison looked like and sent an mental image
to Sienra.

<Do you know of this place?> Zert asked the other dragon.

<Yes, we do. It's know as The Stands,> the other replied.

<I'll be awaiting you're arrival then. Also send more help.>

"Stop whining."

"But sir, these burns pain me greatly."

"You won't have to worry about pain if you keep whining."

A female voice interrupted the exchange with, "There's another dragon and a
human nearby sir, they appear to be camping for the night."

"Really? How interesting. Why don't we go and say good evening to them
both?" the man in charged replied.

"If you say so, sir." the woman said as she took out an arrow and dipped
the head into a pouch of liquid.

"What's that?" the man asked her.

"Does it really matter?" she replied.

Glaring at her he said, "I could kill you right now."

"Why yes, I suppose you could. Then it would be just you and Whiny over
there in these godforsaken lands. So do what you must, Captain." she calmly
told him.

Grumbling, he walked away towards where the dragon and human had been
found. The woman was following behind him, when he heard a whizzing and
felt a breeze blow by his head. He wasn't sure what had happened until he
saw the arrow embedded in the dragon's thigh. He turned and saw that the
woman was smirking at him. His angry growing, he stared at the woman but
she had already drawn and knocked an arrow and had it aimed at the center
of his chest all the while smiling at him.

"I'll deal with you later, woman."

Meanwhile the dragon was screaming out along with it's human. The Captain
slowly advanced into the campsite watching for signs of others. He saw that
the dragon was fighting to stay awake or alive either way he didn't care as
long as it wouldn't bother him anymore. The human, which turned out to be a
fetching woman, approaching him with a knife in hand.

"Please ma'am, for your sake, drop the knife," he said to her.
