by
Amintha of Asvin <amintha@pworld.net.ph>
Just thought I'd send these along to you all so you could see what kind of
writer she is
------------------------------------------------------------
[Barb, this is my first post, the next one is coming right after this...I
thought it was too long and chopped it in two:0)]
**ON A PLANET CALLED ASVIN, IN ANOTHER DIMENSION**
The pirate woman propped up her legs on the table, not caring how much of
leg was showing right now. Wearing a black bodice made of leather, a white
skirt that came mid-thigh and trimmed with golden designs, a red cape that
was held in place by a strange golden clasp, and a mighty sword sheathed at
her hip. She looked around the room and yawned openly, knowing that the
deities around her would be mad, but unable to do anything about her
obvious lack of interest. "Amintha, please, you're not serious about this
are you?" the mighty god Anantar asked the pirate. Anantar was the most
powerful god of all, God of Light and Life, protector of her planet Asvin.
"Anantar honey, you know nothing is going to stop me, what can you guys
do?" the pirate woman answered, smiling wickedly and silently trying to
make him mad.
"We can try to stop you." The Mighty god answered.
"let's face it Anantar, Due to the fact that you gods screwed up when I was
reborn into the world to help save this planet eons ago, none of you were
able to claim me, and Destiny therefore had no hold on me. I became the
best darn pirate to ever sail the Asvin seas, and then one of the most
powerful magic-users of Asvin, then I could change my form to be that of a
dragon. Soon on my journey with others to kill the God Asagur, a job which
by the way was a job that YOU forced me and my friends into, I learned that
I was the sorceress of the ancient command and ruler of the dragon destiny.
My six friends, my new found love Striker and with myself, saved Asvin
from total destruction of Asagur, god of Death and drakness. After that, I
married Striker, Dragon Lord of Dertanai, and became The Immortal Dragon
Queen. Now Striker is gone, brought to another dimension. I know there is
little chance that he is alive, but I owe it to him to at least FIND OUT
what happened to him. If you think, as powerful as an eons-old mortal I
am, is gonna just SIT around here WAITING, then you had better think again.
Try to stop me, I don't care. BUT I AM GOING AND THAT IS FINAL."
After that long speech, Amintha's green eyes glittered dangerously, and
her curly red-hair framed her determined features. Anantar sighed and
wondered how things would of turned out if the his fellow gods hadn't
"screwed up". Amintha certainly wouldn't have been able to not listen to
the gods. Why couldn't she be a normal, submissive mortal like all the
rest? Then White Flame, one of the Dragon Gods of Asvin, spoke up,
"Amintha, but as you said, you are queen, how can the kingdom live without
you?". The young-looking woman frowned, and drummed her fingers on the
sacred table of conference. "Well, frankly I don't know. Maybe my people
would like a new queen." Amintha answered.
White Flame was a metallic white dragon with eyes of Sapphire. Those
eyes were looking at Amintha with concern, for of all the gods, he was the
closest to understanding her. He looked Amintha in the eye and countered,
"Your people love you Dragon Queen, you would be failing them and betraying
them if you were to leave Asvin. Travelling through Dimensions is
dangerous, what of you never come back?"
The rest of the Gods and Goddesses mumbled their agreement. Amintha
scowled, a gesture that meant that she could see White Flame's point.
Amintha suddenly stood up, and paced around them. She was mumbling to
herself, and rested her hand on the hilt of her sword named FATE. Anantar
allowed himself to smile, thinking that maybe he had finally won an
argument against Amintha after ten thousand years of trying.
But Anantar was wrong.
"You all are the mighty and great Gods and Goddesses of Asvin, am I right?"
the pirate gestured to all of them.
The dragon gods, the higher gods, the lesser gods, and the gryphon gods
looked at each other, throwing suspicious glances. They knew Amintha might
twist things around to make her right. But they all carefully nodded.
Amintha then grinned wickedly.
"Well you see m'lords and mistresses, I have an idea"
**AFTER THE SECRET CONFERENCE OF THE GODS**
Amintha flew down in her golden dragon form, going through the portal back
to Asvin. Her plan had worked! She knew she'd find a way. She just
couldn't let Striker down.
<I loved him to long and to much for anything less> she thought sadly.
She cleared her mind and concentrated on her flying. When she landed she
immediately turned back into her human form. A familiar voice called out
behind her,
"Amintha! What is this I hear about you and this crazy plan of yours?!".
A woman, looking about Amintha's age came up to the pirate, waving her arms
around. "Canacel, you found out fast." She tried to walk back to the
castle to avoid another lecture from her best friend.
"Not so fast pirate. We need to talk."
"About what?"
"You CANNOT go into the other dimensions. Let your friends take care of
it. Why not I?"
"Because my dear Canacel, you are now Celestial Light, Goddess and Just
Queen of the Underworld. You cannot come with me, Tarrant is your husband,
and is busy as well. Antar and Damia are busy ruling the elven kingdoms,
and Edon and Clyti are needed at the hospitals."
"You are ruling queen of Dertanai,
THE BIGGEST CONTINENT IN ASVIN, ruling DRAGONS, HUMANS, and ALL other races
known is Asvin. YOU CANNOT GO."
"I can now, I made a deal with the gods."
"YOU WHAT?!"
"I made a deal, and it's gonna work."
"Not unless they split you in two"
"Why, as a matter of fact, they did!"
"AMINTHA, what aren't you telling me?"
Canacel's violet eyes flashed angrily, and her ebony hair whipped around
her. Amintha shrugged, laughed and started to create a spell.
"Don't you run away from me!"
Canacel screamed, but Amintha had suddenly disappeared. Suddenly, a voice
came into Canacel's mind
<Canacel, you have been a good friendthe best I ever had. If I never make
it back, at least, this part of me-the gods will explain that-I just want
you to know that of all the centuries we spent together, I loved you as
much as a best friend could.>
Canacel looked around in her in disbelief, Amintha had never admitted
anything like thatthe pirate must be sure that she'll never come back.
<AMINTHA! You can't! I won't let you! I'm coming after you!> she cried
out mentally.
When she heard no response, she dropped to the floor and bowed her head,
tears welling up in her eyes.
"You've been an important part of my life Amintha, I can't imagine life
without you." She cursed herself for trying to scold Amintha.
Canacel knew better than to try to stop her. She should of said good-bye
instead, and tell her she felt the same love for her. A warm feeling
spread through Canacel, and she realized that Amintha had come back for one
last time to say:
"I know Canacel, I know. You don't need to say it out loud. Life without
me might be better-there's another me taking my place."
Canacel looked up, trying to figure out what Amintha meant.
Canacel, the greatest sorceress of Asvin shimmered and turned into a
silver-pearl dragon with eyes of opal, and flew into the sky. Soon she
must return to the underworld, the hell that she and Tarrant had turned
into paradise for the deceased. She wished with all her heart that she
would never have to see Amintha's soul down there. All those born of Asvin
died in the underworld of Asvin, no matter where they were. Which is why
Amintha went searching for Striker, since his soul was not in the
underworld. But Amintha's last few words puzzled her deeply.
She'd know soon enough
*NRP:Hello everyone! This is just a start to sort of introduce my PC,
there will be another one coming up soon.* :0)
I'm a pirate. A cursed eon-old 23-year-old looking woman.
I have no God. I have no destiny.
I happen to have been passing through dimensions, and got stuck in this one.
I'm the most talkative gal you'll ever meet, a drunken natural flirt.
That reason enough for you to all love me? *wicked smile*
It is SO obvious..
