<I know!  We can try and fly!  That way we wont be left behind when they
go out.>  Fluffy said.  <Meet me at the lake.>

Regenta agreed.

When they met at the bathing lake they had convinced some of the other
dragonettes to join them.  Starfire was among them as was Dojanth.  For
the next hour they happily flapped their wings, and tried very hard to
fly.  About all they accomplished was a lot of splashing, and making it
look like one large mud puddle.

Every one of them was covered with mud from head to tail tip.  Where they 
had been white this morning they were now brown.  This time Shadow hung
out on a branch of a nearby tree...he was not going to get wet!
 
<Hey Reggie>  Fluffy called to his friend, <Look how big I am getting.>

<You are growing...but so am I.>  She responded admiringly.

<You are as big as me!>  He exclaimed,  <That is great!>

All of them compared how big they were getting.  Fluffy and Regenta were
still the biggest...but they had nice things to say to their clutchmates.
  Their riders were not as happy as the dragonettes had thought they 
should
be when they wandered back to the front of the dining hall, trailing mud 
all the way.
