Re: (DL-D) This could be interesting ...

Allora was trying to pay attention to what they were saying....but all
she could think of was how well the man, T'rell would look in her
Masters work. With his coloring and build, added to that of his
dragon...they would be perfect!
Not to mention the ladies! Either of them would be wonderful models for
the gown she was planning. This just might work out after all. She
just needed to get them to agree to be models.
T'rell offered to show her around, and help Allora get settled in, and
that was fine by her, he was very easy on the eyes. Allora followed
him, as he showed her around, she loved looking at his back side.
It has been far too long since you had a partner...she thought to
herself. You just can't try to pick up the first person you meet in a
Warren, but blast it all...these were some nice people.
Allora picked the largest of the suites shwn to her...she would need the
space to work, and store her tools. That was when Allora heard what she
thought was T'rell making a pass at her.
"And what is your trade?" T'rell asked.
"I'm a Leatherworker," Allora answered.
"Hmmm...well, you shouldn't have any shortage of business here," T'rell
observed. "Dragonriders always need leather outfits...those damned
bedsheets really take a toll on them."
Allora couldn't believe her ears....was he making a not so subtle pass at
her?
"Bedsheets?" she tryied to hide how interested she was. "You wear
leather in bed, then?" Maybe this was a good place to sell her line of
'Specialty Leather' also.
T'rell Looked a little confused. "Uh, no...I meant the wraiths,
actually...I call them 'bedsheets' because that's what they look like to
me. Damn things eat through the leather, you know."
Blast! Allora thought she was getting somewhere....ugh.
"Yes, I remember that," she replied.
"Saddles, harnesses...we always need more of that sort of thing."
Allora was distracted by the thought of put this man in a harness...or
just getting him in bed and staying there for a day or two....
"Harnesses...yes, I have experience with those." was all she said, she
did not like to come on as the heavey hitter, she prefered to stalk her
prey....
"Oh...good," T'rell said. He seemed about to say something, and then
decided it was not the time.
Instead he pointed out where the training building for the searchlings
was, he seemed very pleased with the searchlings they had in
training...almost like a proud father...almost...
He was telling her he was the trainer, maybe he was telling her where to
find him, but he didn't want to come right out and say so, maybe he was
shy. Well she could go slow...she was very adept at helping 'shy'
peoople not be quite that 'shy'.
Allora was busy thinking about the things she would like to do with/to
this man, and was only vaguely paying attention to what he was saying.
It had been too damn long since she had partnered anyone.
With a mental shake she focussed her attention on what he was saying...
"So," he was saying, "I hope you like our warren. If you like I can take
you around to introduce you to some of the folks who live here...maybe
even some of the trainers I work with! You'd 'love' our barracks..."
Then again maybe he wasn't so shy, the way he went on about the barracks,
you would think he wanted her to visit him. HHHmmmm....
"That sounds very 'tempting', I think I should get settled in first. And
I do have to meet the Warrenlady early in the morning. Maybe some other
time?"
To herself she thought...I will definately be looking you up....
---------------------------------------
Early the next morning, after a night of interesting dreams featuring the
good looking T'rell, as well as a few others, Allora was up and
whistling, before the sun rose.
Allora was an early riser from way back, when she was an apprentice that
had stood her in good stead with the Masters. She wandered down to the
dining area, and inquired where she should wait for the Warrenlady, she
explained she was to meet her for breakfast.
An older woman smiled and told her where to sit, then offered to get her
a cup of tea, and something to eat.
"Just some porridge, with lots of brown sugar on top." she smiled at
her. Allora had a sweet tooth, but she worked so hard, she wore any
spare flesh off.
Some time later, Jayleigh showed up, she apologized for being late, "No
need to apologize Warrenlady," Allora grinned and extended her hand.
"Jayleigh please," she corrected, "We don't stand too much on ceremony
around here, unless your in the doghouse."
After a little bantering with Jayleighs mother, who turned out to be the
same woman that had seated Allora, the Warrenlady asked the expected
question....Allora had heard it many times..
"So why don't you tell me a little about yourself and what brought you to
Daere..."
alloa found it easy to open up to this Lady...she seemed to really care,
that was not always the case. So Allora told her about her parents, and
how her father had died in a wraith attack, and her mother never found
another partner.
She told her how her mother had pushed her to stand on the sands, in
spite of the fact she hadn't been searched. Alloaro told her about her
childhood growing up with two joined parents, and then about her love of
her craft.
Allora surprised herslf when she even explained about the sideline of
leather-wear that she had designed. That actually got a raised eyebrow
from the warrenlady.
Then she explained that she was working on her Masters Piece/ or in her
case Pieces.
"I have a good rep with the heaveier leather items, like harnesses, and
things...so the Masters have decided to add a little twist...I have to
design a gown for a lady, find a model, and create it."
They spoke for a little while longer, and then Jayleigh asked the
question of the year.
"You're getting a little old to stand on the sands....but T'rell and I
both saw the affinity about you when we met," Allora was speechless.
"It's strong, and we both feel you stand a good chance of joining when
the eggs hatch. What do you say? You up to trying?"
Allora sat there staring at the warrenlady....Was she up to trying?! She
had given up on that dream when her father had died. But it would mean
taking time from her work, a lot of time, from her trying for her
Masters.
Finally after a few minutes, Allora looked Jayleigh streight in the eyes
and gave her answer.
"Yes." she almost whispered.
