"Who is Kalindeth?"

"Affectionately called Lindy, she's my dragon. She just mated a few
days ago and is anxious to meet the first candidate to join with her
eggs. Come on, I'll introduce you."

"I would like that." Marialla said with a smile. "I really feel as if I've
been in a whirl wind since I've arrived. But I really haven't met too many
people yet. But this is a pleasant way to start my first full day here."

"Well I'm sure you haven't met too many of the dragons yet either. Come and
meet Lindy. She's anxious to meet you." the junior queenrider responded
and led Marialla out to where Kalindeth was waiting.

Marialla had seen the dragon's occassionally in Triylar but until she had
first gotten close to them...when she rode back with Jayleigh and T'rell,
she had never been close to the beautiful giants. And they were beautiful,
and Kalindeth was not an exception. When Marialla first saw her, she gasped.

<It looks like you made an impression> Danika smiled.

<Well let's just hope she makes an impression around here too>

"Lindy, this Marialla." she smiled. "Marialla, Kalindeth."

"You are so beautiful." Marialla said breathlessly. "I never until recently
really knew how beautiful these dragons are."

<I like her.>

Danika chuckled. "Well you've gotten Kalindeth's approval. Now is there
anywhere in particular that you'd like me to show you, or do you just want
the general tour?"

"Well, I'd like to go to the Dining Hall." she replied.

"Oh, I bet you haven't had a bite to eat since you've arrived. Of course.
We'll go there first." Danika replied.

"Well no, I'm not really hungry, but the Warrenlady Jayleigh told me that I
might be able to work for my keep helping cook. I love to cook and I need
to work to support myself." Marialla stated.

"But Marialla, there is no need for you to work. You'll be surprized how
hard you'll be working in training. Please don't over do it." Danika said,
almost pleading with the young searchling.

"But I love to cook. It's really no work for me, and if I can help out,
that's what I want to do." Marialla responded with a shy smile.

"Well we'll go for coffee and to get you something to eat. I can introduce
you to Realee while we get you fed. But only if you insist." Danika smiled
back. "Shall we go." and motioned in the direction of the Dining Hall.

Danika continued, "See the caves up in the sides of the moutains? That's
where you will soon take residence. After you join with one of Lindy's
offspring."

Marialla looked up at the caves. She wasn't sure what they would be like on
the inside, but she assumed it was better than the barricks, and to her,
they weren't too shabby. She liked everyone she had met so far. Even
though she hadn't met too many people yet. But she figured good people
tends to stick together so she thought that she really was going to like it
here.

The two girls approached the Dining Hall and they entered and found
themselves a table." What are you hungry for." Danika asked the searchling.

"Well I'm really not that hungry. But I really want a cup of coffee. Maybe
I'll be hungry after the coffee." Marialla responded.

"Well I really think you should eat something. T'rell will be working you
hard in a little while, so you'd better eat something." Danika responded,
"And anyway, it will give me an excuse to get Realee out here to meet you."

"Do you need a reason?" Marialla said with a shocked question in her voice,
"The Warrenlady said she's very nice."

"Oh she is very nice. I just like to have a reason to talk to people." she
said with a grin.

"Well you have an excuse, you're going to introduce me to her." Marialla
said with a chuckle. She knew she was going to like Danika. And she was
getting pretty confident that she was going to like it at the Warren in general.

Danika left the table for a bit. When she returned she had a women with her.
This woman was taller then Marialla and slightly plump with just a bit of
graying in her hair. She was a pleasant woman, Marialla could tell by
looking at her.

The woman started, "Welcome Marialla, I hear you like to cook and you might
be interested in helping me out when time permits."
