Day 10
**Unbeknownst to all, even the darker element of Triylar, there was a new
faction in town and it was watching the events taking place with keen
interest. Rumors abounded about this mysterious, nameless group of
miscreants. They had struck randomly all over the Dragonlands, never staying
in one place for more then 48 hours and, except for people missing gold,
seemed more myth than reality. Their objective; to alleviate the local
banks or richer patrons of their wealth. The ranks of this group were so
illusive that they had never been penetrated by outside forces. Their
method; to use present circumstances or to create a diversion to make the
heist. On this morning the plan was to rob the local bank, with the arrival
of the dragons the leader smiled, this would only make their job easier, a
simple nod and several unseen figures slipped quietly into place.**
<Inside the bank>
Sharees was just congratulating herself for a job well done, as Lord
Gossimor got his money and handed her one of the three bags to carry for
him. Smiling broadly at Lexi, she moved towards the door, following the
Lord, only to find herself barred by a burly man in shabby attire.
"Excuse me.." She began, but the man just leered at her and didn't move out
of the way.
Sharees attempted to go around the man, noticing that Lord Gossimor was
getting further ahead of her than she liked.
"C'mon, pretty lady, why don't you share some of what you've got there?" the
man ludely suggested.
Sharees glared at him, "Get out of my way."
But instead of his moving away, he made as if to grab Sharees about the
waist. Sharees swung the sack of coins, grazing the man's head, connecting
with a loud noise, but also scattering a large amount of the money. The man
staggered back, stunned.
The lord was almost to the door when the rogue's partner jumped Sharees,
pinning her arms. Lexi hearing the commotion glanced over his shoulder.
Knowing that T'rell and D'Altar were standing close by the door, Lexi pushed
the lord through the door to the waiting riders.
"BITCH!" the first vagrant said, recovering quickly. He swung at Sharees and
a huge hand came out of nowhere stopping the fist only inches from Sharees's
face. The man gulped hard as he looked up at the giant that held his fist
in a vice like grip. Lexi grinned wickedly, "Uh-huh!"
The man behind Sharees growled menacingly. Feeling his distraction by the
beating his friend was receiving from Lexi, Sharees went into action. Her
right boot smashed down along his shin, and slammed into the top of his
foot. Howling, the man loosened his grip, just long enough for Sharees's
elbow to find it's mark -- burying itself into his solar plexus. With a
grunt the man doubled over. Sharees's double fists smashed down on the back
of his neck, sending him sprawling.
Lexi, who was dangling the first rogue by his shirt, glanced at Sharees then
tilted his head towards the door, "Check on the lord! I'll take care of
these two, and don't worry about the coins -- they'll pick 'em up for you,"
he grinned wickedly.
Meanwhile Lord Gossimor was recovering from Lexi's push and started to say
something to T'rell when a loud clattering and a woman screaming reached
them. A run away wagon careened around the corner at full speed coming
straight for them. A woman was hanging on for dear life as the wagon swayed
dangerously. Seeing the dragons the horses went berserk and started weaving
back and forth almost throwing the helpless woman off.
T'rell motioned to D'Altar and then ran around the dragons to try and stop
the wagon
Sharees was just exiting the bank, when she heard the commotion. She placed
herself between the lord and the dragons with D'Altar standing on the other
side; the two riders ever alert.
Dark eyes watched with malicious glee and with an almost imperceivable nod,
two midgets came around the corner of the building running up from behind.
Lexi came to the door, dragging one man by the scruff of the neck with one
hand, and carrying the bag of coins in the other. He saw the little people
scooting behind his fellow riders. His shout came too late as the midgets
snatched the bags from the lord and were around the corner before anyone
could react.
Sharees took off at a run after them. Jason appeared out of nowhere running
along side.
<*CHAMELLE!*> Sharees called out to her dragon.
The sapphire female lifted off into the air at once, knowing immediately
what was wanted of her. The dark shadow passed over the pursuing riders and
their prey. The large form landed directly in front of the two fleeing
criminals. The sharp teeth and flickering flames caused them to drop the
bags, but before Sharees and Jason could apprehend them, they squeezed
through a small crack in a fence and were gone.
"Damn!" Sharees cried, as she realized that even her small frame wouldn't
fit through the crack.
"Hey, but we've got the coins..." Jason grinned.
Jason and Sharees came back around the corner feeling somewhat relieved only
to find the front of the bank was in pandemonium. Jason grinned, handing
her the bag he was carrying and slipped into the crowd.

Lexi was holding Sharees's attacker up off the ground by his shirt and the
man was begging for mercy as Lexi questioned him. D'Altar held the
miscreant's partner, who was eyeing the proceedings with increasing fear.
The wagon had been stopped and the woman was nearly hysterical as she told
T'rell that some crazy man had just spooked her horse only minutes before.
He had been wearing a cloak so she couldn't identify him, she told the
Wingleader.
The man that Lexi was manhandling also had very little information. Someone
hired them only minutes before to cause a commotion in the bank, giving them
5 gold pieces to harass Sharees.
Lord Gossimor was visibly relieved when he saw Sharees returning with the
two sacks. As he reached out to take a bag from Sharees, it slipped from
his grasp tearing open when it hit the ground. Lead slugs flew everywhere.
Loud gasps were heard as the group stared in disbelief at the gray metal
pieces, some still rolling across the ground. Sharees tore open the second
bag only to cry out in disbelief, "How? How could they switch them??"
The dark eyes closed in satisfaction, and with a nod those that had been
covertly watching disappeared into the shadows.
Then the call came in from Bootsie and Byorn almost simultaneously, [The
strange dragons are sticking to the cloud cover, we don't know who they are
yet but they are coming this way and coming fast.]
