     Marialla came and sat down next to Jason as T'rell walked out of
the room, a concerned look on her face.

     "What was that about?" Jason shrugged lightly.

     "T'rell and I decided we needed to clear the air between us, so we
sat down and talked things out.
 
     "And?"

     "Well he didn't hit me," Jason said lightly, "so I think things
came out pretty well."
 
    Mari sat there quietly for a moment, thinking about what might have
been said between the two men.  She knew that she'd hurt T'rell worse
than she had been hurt by his words.  She didn't want to hurt anyone and
in all, hurting T'rell had hurt her more then what he had said.
 
    "He wouldn't do that, you know."  she said quietly.
 
    Jason looked at Mari, not sure of what she meant.
 
    "He'd never hit you."  she whispered.  "He expects you to take care
of me.  He always did that....but maybe he should have let me take care
of myself alittle more.  I did it for such a very long time, and it was
wonderful, for once not having too.  I too willingly let him.  He needs
someone.  He shouldn't be alone."
 
    "Mari, what he needs right now is time.  Friends support...he's not
ready for anything else."  Jason said knowing that she had other ideas.
 
    "Jason, I know T'rell, it will do him no good to be alone right now."
 
    "He's never alone, he has Flerrion."  Jason added.
 
    "I'm glad he has Flerrion, but he needs more."  she said.
 
    "Mari....I wouldn't...." Jason started.
 
    Mari was obviously not listening to the man that sat with her and
jumped up and headed toward the woman that walked in the door of the
dining hall.
 
    "Sharees, can I talk to you a moment?" she said as she greeted the
woman.
 
    "Well, I was just going to grab something to take with me,  I think
that M'naten  might have a little trouble finding time to get something
to eat."  she giggled.
 
    Mari looked at her quizically.  "Don't worry about it, you'll hear
about it from Regenta later.  I'm sure this is making the rounds as
dragon gossip right now." she again laughed.  "What can I do for you
Mari?" 
 
    "Well speaking of Dragon gossip....well I'm sure you know that T'rell
and I are no longer together."
 
    Sharees nodded.
 
    "Well even though we just can't be together any longer, it doesn't
mean that there won't always be a special place in my heart for him. 
Sharees, he so alone....it hurts me to see him this way.  Seeing me is
just going to hurt him and he needs a distraction.  Could you help me
find some distractions for him over the next few weeks?"

This is rather short I know.  But this is just an intro to Mari's new
mission.  John, you knew this was coming. :)  Arlene, is Sharees going to
help or is she going to go the way of Jason and try to stay out of this
upcoming fiasco. :)
