<My rider...My rider!!> Troy's excited call came in just as Leigh was
finishing up the report she was working on. 

<<Yes Troy I can hear you! What is it?>>

Leigh was tired. It had been a long day and didn't promise to get any
shorter. She'd already had to worry over Mari's disappearance and recovery,
and now she learned that there was some trouble between T'rell and the Jr
Queenrider. 

She just hoped they got it worked out and this time Mari wouldn't have to
spend more time away from the office and the work that was piling up.

Leigh sighed, then wondered what it was about Jr Queenrider's in this
Warren. Why something always happened to them. Was it something in the water
that only affected Jr Queenrider's? 

Just once, she thought she'd like to have one who didn't fall apart or
become to emotional. She'd like to have one who she could depend on to take
over for a few days or be there to help out when she really needed them the
most.

<.....and he says he needs help right now if we're to catch them...>  Troy's
voice brought her out of her musings. 

<<Wait..... who's he and who is it we're suppose to catch?>> 

<Aren't you listening to me!> her Queen chided then repeated what she had
just said. <Amadith is here... he said his rider has found someone bad who
had hurt him in the past and he wants riders to come before the man can get
away. He says to come NOW!!>

<<What man!!>> Leigh asked even as she got up from her chair and headed
towards the door.

Before she could make it to the door, it opened and 
R'ven came running in to tell her the news. "You'll never believe it but
Amadith is outside right now and he's·"

"So Troy just told me," she muttered as she ran from the room. "<<Troy find
T'rell and get him here!>>" she yelled aloud and mentally as the two of them
made their way outside.

"T'rell?" the raven headed man grabbed her arm just as she was about to exit
her office. "You can't be serious about sending him on this?"

"I am... He'd be the best man for the job," she replied and tugged hard to
get him to release her. "Ven after briefing Martyn gave the other day,
T'rell and I came to an understanding..."

"Right," R'ven snorted. "He won't run Tair'n through if someone else gets to
him first!"

"You don't do Martyn credit," she gave a snort bitter laugh. "Nor T'rell. He
listened to what Martyn told us and isn't so hot to blame Tair'n any longer..."

"Send Ja'ks with him.....and Gerald..." he added even though he knew the
mention of the man's name would cause this woman pain. But right then he
couldn't afford to care to deeply. Tair'n was out there in need of help and
R'ven wanted to make sure his mate was given every chance he could to make
it home alive and in one piece.

Leigh felt her heart tighten at the mention of his name, but she wasn't
going to let it effect her. Not now. He was here, back in Daere and there
was nothing she could do about it. 

But she was going to be damned if she let him hurt her again. No way.

"Warrenlady Jayleigh my name is D'arnik from Geode Warren and I need....." a
rider she didn't know tried to stop her as she was exiting the office complex.

"Look... D'arnik is it??" she said quickly and at his nod said, "Right now
is really a bad time to talk... We have a situation going on at the moment
that needs my attention."

"But Warrenlady... I have a message and a package here for M'naten... and I
really need to see him..."

"Later! Wait in my office if you must but please!!"

She didn't notice the package in the mans hands, nor would she have stopped
if she had, but the rider from Falgand wouldn't be stopped. 

<<Rimblo see if you can find Graimor and have him tell his rider that we're
here and need to see him,>> D'arnik asked but wasn't happy with the return
response.

<He said his rider is aware that you are here and that he begs pardons but
he is about to go out on a mission for his new Warren and says if it's
important you can wait for him. He says the dining hall has good food here.>

"Wait!! Damnitalltohell!! I don't have time to bloody wait around here all
day and just what in the hell am I going to do with this....."

With the rider from Geode fading into the back ground of her mind, Leigh
raced up to where others were landing. She saw T'rell and his crimson dragon
landing first and not far behind him Ja'ks on brown Sprarroe.

Then she also noticed several of the new trainees landing close by and
wondered at that until they settled when T'rell barked an order to them
before coming up to join her and R'ven.

"Troy told us and we're ready to go find him," T'rell said before she could
speak up. "Don't worry Leigh we'll bring him back in one piece."

He shot a brief look at R'ven and the older man spoke up.

"You had better mean that T'rell," Ven commented looking capable of anything
at the moment.

"I always say what I mean and mean what I say R'ven," T'rell spoke sharply.
"You should know that about me by now. I said I'm see him back here safely
and I will."

As the two men talked she looked passed them to see others arriving. The new
man... D'Altar. Yes that was his name... he really didn't look that much
like Ari now that she'd seen him in the suns light. But there was a
resemblance. 

So he was going with Ja'ks. And why not.

Sharees was there and so was M'naten, which reminded Leigh of the man who
had tried to stop her as she was coming out of her office. Well she'd have
troy pass on the message and then go back and see the man.

"Okay right now we know where Tair'n is and he's asking for our help,"
T'rell was telling the others who were gathered around. "This is what we're
going to do......."

[[Tag John  <grin> ]]

"He'll be all right Ven," Leigh promised both of them as they settled back
down in her office to wait. "I trust T'rell to do the right thing and Ja'ks
is there just in case... do you want to tell Cal'an his father is coming
home or do you think it'd be better to wait?"

A short time later after R'ven had left there was a knock at the door and
when she bid the person enter, it was the rider from Geode. The one she'd
forgotten all about being there.

"I'm sorry... D'arnik... I just finished up with..." she started to say but
he cut her off.

"Warrenlady Jayleigh I'm sorry to be so blunt but I really need to get back
to my own Warren so if you'll make sure M'naten gets this....." and he
handed her the bundle he'd been holding in his hands quickly as if he
couldn't wait to get rid of it.

"And see that he gets this note too... it'll explain everything," the rider
continued as he began walking towards the door. "Now if you'll excuse me..."
and he was out the door with it shut behind her before she could question
him further.

It was only then she felt something wet on her hand and looked down to see
what was in the bundle.......

When Troy later informed her that the riders were back, she told the Queen
that she wanted M'naten in her office before the next five minutes were up.
She'd deal with T'rell's report just as soon as this meeting with M'naten
was over.

The knock sounded on the door two minutes later and an out of breath rider
entered just as she straiten up from where she had second ago been bending
over something on the couch.

"Graimor said you wanted to see me M'lady" he said quickly, his hand moving
up to smooth back wind blown hair. 

"Yes M'naten. A rider from Geode was here not to long ago."

The rider frowned. "Is he still here?"

"Oh no he's gone," Leigh smiled slightly, her violet-blue eyes looking
intently at his face. "Anything you care to talk about?"

"No M'lady," he shook his head. "I can't think of anything."

"Well then maybe you can explain something to me?" she asked in a tone most
riders knew as Leigh's before the Whammy tone.

"If I can." He answered more confused then before. "What?"

"This," she said and moved aside to give him a good view of the object
laying in peaceful slumber on her couch.....

Okay I'm sorry I missed a bunch of tags... but as you all know I've been off
line pretty much for the last three months..... well I'm back now after
spending a LOT of money and have a whole new system so I'll be starting to
post again.....
