[DL-G] I just want to go to bed...

Inagua felt herself turn bright red as the crowd applauded and cheered.
Forcing a smile on her face, she bobed a bow and almost ran off the stage,
not waiting for the twins to put there instruments away. Gods, she hated
performing. She didn't know how her siblings had done that in the inns they
had stopped in.
Briefly, she considered finishing her interupted journey to the food tables,
but even looking at them made her slightly ill. It probably was a good
thing that she hadn't eaten anything, she probably would be throwing it up
right now.
Inagua searched around for a corner to go hide in. She needed to get her
nerves and rebellious stomach back under control before she even attempted
to socialize. She spied some empty tables over in the corner and grabbed
one. Sighing, she sat down and absently massaged her temples, already
feeling the beginings of a very nasty headache. Of course, her throbbing
head could only be the effects of the goose egg on her forehead catching up
to her, but for some reason, she didn't think she was going to be so lucky.

nrpg: If anybody wants Inagua at the party, she'll be sitting at that table,
even more foul tempered than usual. : )

(after the party)
"Allright, now has everyone found a place?" V'dar asked. Inagua noticed the
others around her nodding, she shut her eyes so it wouldn't make her head
hurt any more.
"Good,"he continued. "I want you all to be a comfortable as possible,
because in a very short time you will each have a wide-awake and very hungry
dragon on your hands."
Inagua wondered if she could possibly handle a dragon screaming hungrily
inside her skull right now. It already felt like it was going to explode.
<I'll be gentle, I promise,> Myacura whispered softly, though hungrily.
*Thanks,* Inagua replied and started feeding the queen from the bowl in
front of her.
"Hey now, what's this?" V'dar said.
Inagua didn't pay much attention to him, only the screaching of stone on
stone that was sending knives of agony through various part of her brain.
Grinding her teeth, she put on ear to her shoulder and her free hand over
her other ear, determined to ignore what ever it was that was going on over
there. All she wanted to do was feed her dragon and go to sleep! Why did
life have to keep interfering?
Some one tapped her on the shoulder, and she removed her hand from her ear
cautiously. Inagua winced a bit at the crunching of rocks, but it was a
huge improvement over the scraping noise. She turned her attention back to
V'dar.
"Now then, like I said, you'll be feeding these little darlings almost
constantly over the next few days. Their whole world will be you, food, and
sleep. During that time, we'll be teaching you how to take care of them,
how to watch after their skin, and watching for signs of disease. Later,
we'll start training you on what you're here for; flight, teleporting,
and fighting wraiths! In the meantime, take a rest; you've earned it.
I'll be staying in this room right over here..." he indicated a side-room,
"until its time to let you loose. Have a good night."
Inagua dipped her hand in the bowl and was mildly surprised that it was empty.
*You done, Mya?* Inagua asked, silently pleading that she was.
<Yes,> was the sleepy reply.
*G'night then. I'm going to bed.*
Inagua stood up and numbly followed the rest of her hatch mates to the
hatching barracks. The next thing she remember was looking at an empty bed,
with no recolection of how she got there. She stripped, climbed into bed
and was asleep instantly.
