[DL-G] Watching Eyes

Go'wayn was really getting tired of hearing Mc'key going on and on
about the girl, Ghost. So what if she turned out to be older than
she had led everyone to believe. Who cared? He sure as hell didn't.
As far as he was concerned, the little bitch should have been kicked
out of the Warren when Phaedra first found out about it. After all
the girl had lied to everyone.

'Snoopy little bitch,' he thought, still angry with her over the
time she'd had snitched him out over that beating he'd given the
kid from the kitchen. If the clumsy jerk hadn't of spilled that
tray of meat juice all over him, he wouldn't have had to discipline
him. As it turned out, he'd had to pull extra duty because the
little brat went and snitch on him and told the Warrenlady a pack
of lies.

He'd been trying to come up with a way to repay her for that every
since.

"I can't believe that she's really 17 yrs. old," Mc'key was telling
another of the riders sitting at their table. "And who'd of thought
she'd clean up as pretty as she had for the hatchling party?"

"Sure looked different," Jil'mae nodded his head in agreement.
"Never knew she was so cute before. You gonna stake a claim, 'Key?"

"On Ghost?" he laughed. "Not on your life. Why ruin a good
friendship?"

'Be friends with the little twit?' Go'wayn through the others a
dirty look. "If it don't ride a dragon, Mc'Key's doesn't notice it's there."
the brown-headed man sneered. Commenting on the tall blonde aversion to
mating with any unjoined female.

"Ah, but have you forgotten Go'? Ghost not only joined with one of
the hatchlings... that wilder seems to have adopted her as well."
Jil'mae remind him.

"Never should have let that wilder stay," the stocky man complained.
"Can't never tell when they'll turn on you. I say they get rid of
her."

"Well no one asked you," Mc'key spoke to the morose man for the
first time. He usually ignored anything the man had to say.

"What's wrong 'Key," Go'wayn's sneer grew wider. "Try to get in the
little bitches pants now that she's a dragonrider and she turn you
down? Maybe I'll have better luck with her. Maybe she's waiting for
a real man to do her."

Mc'key came up out of his chair and came over the top of the table
at the other man. His fist collided with the dark-haired mans face,
splitting his lip before Go'wayn could respond. Before the angry man
could retaliate, several of the other riders at the table got between
them.

"You stay the hell away from Ghost or I'll kill you, you son of a
bitch," Mc'key shouted as he struggled against the two riders
holding him back from the other man. "Stay the hell away."

"Get out of here Go'wayn," Jil'mae throw at him. "I think you've
caused enough trouble for today."

"That sob hit me, and you say I'm the one causing trouble?" the man
gave a bitter laugh, as he wiped away a trickle of blood out of the
corner of his mouth. "Why don't you keep a leash on him, or did I
hit a little to close to home where the little twit is concerned...
huh 'Key?"

Before either man could throw another insult a sharp commanding
voice cut through the air ordering quiet. As one the group turned
around to see the angry face of the Alpha Wingleader, H'nin standing
a few feet away.

"Go'wayn unless you want to spend another mouth patrolling the snowy
waste, I'd advice you to take off now," H'nin said sternly in a voice
that refused to be disobeyed. "NOW!!"

With his face red with rage, the stocky dragonrider turned and
stormed out of the dining hall, thinking of ways to pay the tall
blonde back for this. His jaw was throbbing already and by this
evening he would have a big bruise there for everyone to laugh
about.

Well they wouldn't be laughing for long, he swore as his powerful
legs carried him away from the others. It didn't register at first,
the sound of someone calling his name. But finally it penetrated his
rage and he turned to see who was calling him. He didn't recognize
either of the two big men who were coming towards him. But waited
for them to catch up anyway.

'They'd better have a good reason for following me,' he thought as
they drew near. "I don't have time to play travel guide to anyone.
Let them get someone else."
"Yeah what do you want," he said in a belligerent tone as the two
men drew near. Only then did he notice the type of men that they
were and had second thoughts about saying anything more.

"We couldn't help but over hear what went on back there," the first
man said.

"Yeah so?"

"We have a little problem, and we think you may be just the person
to help us." the second and smaller of the two said. "We've come
here at the request of Lord Bridgett of Lago Vista to find a run
away thief. We believe she is here in the Warren and that it may be
the girl you were talking about. This Ghost."

"So what, if you know who she is then why don't you go to the
Warrenlady about it?" Go'wayn asked.

"We have and she wasn't very helpful I'm afraid." the first man
said.
"that's why we've come to you for help. Lord Bridgett wants this
girl found and returned, and he's willing to pay quiet handsomely
for her return."

(Nrpg: just into-ing a few new people.... BIOS's listed below.
Feel free to use any of them....I do have plans for Go'wayn first
though :)
--------------------------------

#1) Go'wayn: 19yrs. 5'10", dark brown hair worn long in ponytail.
He's stocky with a superior attitude. A bully at heart, thinks
he's better than most other riders. Always looks down on the
female riders, thinks they're only good for one thing... and
that's not fighting wraiths!!
Blames his short comings on others. Nothing is ever HIS
fault. He can't see that it's his attitude that has kept him
from becoming a flight leader, much less a Wingleader... Has
a secret crush on the Warrenlady and hopes one day that his
dragon, Flen can win her Queen in mating flight...

Dragon: Flen; tan with brown wings. 5 yrs. His attitude is on
par with his riders, so he wins very few mating flights..

------------------------------------------------------------

Mc'key: 17 yrs. 6'2" Blonde hair. Wide shoulders tapering down
to a slim waist and long legs.. ( picture a younger Troy Akmen
of the Cowboys :) (oh baby)

VERY polite, friendly, a favorite among the older riders who are
always willing to answer his many questions about flight and
fighting maneuvers. Studies anything he can find on the topic
because he doesn't want anything to happen to his dragon or other
riders in his wing. Very dependable in combat. Wants to be a
Wingleader some day.
Women and kids love him because he's honest and fair. Never
breaks a promise once he makes it. Very dependable in doing what he
says he will. Like a big brother to young Ghost.

Dragon; Vasleth: 4 yrs. Dark green. A lot like his rider in
attitude. Listens to the other dragons hoping he might hear
something his rider may use later to be of help.

------------------------------------------

Jil'mae: 18 yrs. 6'0". blue eyed, blonde.
Patrol partner of Mc'key.
Friendly out going and every inch the dragonrider.
A real ladies man...with a twisted sence of humor.
Dragon: Skeeter, red 4 yrs.
