[DL-G] Long Over Due

~*~*~*~Sometime after the trial~*~*~*~

Lasher backpedaled hard easing himself down onto the ground. <<Here we
are my rider.>>

Liam glanced around the green. The wing must have left for the day, the
warren was quiet.

<<Looks are decieving, my lifemate. The warren is bustling with news.
It seems there has been an attempt on the warrenlady's life, and by a
junior queenrider.>>

<How do you find out these things so quickly. You've got some sort of
premonitional abilities your not telling me about, don't you.> Liam
joked.

<<I would never keeps things from you, lifemate. The others are anxious
to tell anyone who has not already heard there news. This is not
something to joke about rider. If the warrenlady had been killed the
queen would have died as well.>>

<I am aware of that Lasher, and it seems that they have things under
control. So why not joke a bit?>

Lasher didn't agree with his rider, but didn't say anything. He was too
busy listening to the gossip.

<<It seems the warrenlady is rather upset.>>

<I imagine so.> Liam grinned. He had heard stories about Phaedra's
temper.

Lasher ingored his rider's interuption. <<Perhaps it would not be wise
to disturb her right now. She wasn't expecting us for another week.
She might not be happy to see us right now.>> He was tired, Liam could
recognize the signs.

<I know your unhappy at having to leave early, Lasher, but what else was
there for us to do? The hatchlings had already joined the wing and we
were just taking up space and wasting air. As for your suggestion about
waiting to see the warenlady? I think it's a good idea. I'm starving,
I think I'll head to the dinning hall. Why don't you keep tabs on
what's going on and keep me updated. And Lasher, try and make some
friends this time. You're too aloof for your own good.>

<<I'm not aloof, just reserved. It's not my fault if I don't like those
rough games.>>

<Please, Lasher, you'll be happier if you try. I'll be happier.>

He heaved a huge draconic sigh. <I promise you my rider that I will try
and get along with the others.>

<<Good! I'll hold you to that promise.>>

Lasher shifted his weight so that it was easier for his rider to
dismount. Liam climbed down, pulled of the saddle and sauntered off to
the dinning hall. As he walked away he tossed Lasher one more request.
<Oh yeah, do us a favor, and find a suitable apartment.>

<<Yes my rider.>> Lasher sighed again. His rider could be trying at
times. Streching his wings, he bunched up his muscles and launched
himself into the air. The small coral dragon went off to find himself a
new home. The first thing on his mind right now was a nap. The jump
here had taken alot out of him. Meeting the others could wait.

NRPG: I know it's over due (waaaaaay over due.) but here is my intro
post. I was trying to think of something interesting, but I didn't want
to wait for something interesting to finally come to me. (If I had I
don't think my intro would have ever been written. :)
