*Dinner, Dining Hall*
**Inagua**
She beamed broadly at the other Queen rider, reaching out to grasp her
hand firmly and giving it a good shake.
"Hello, I'm Argent, rider of Silver," she said cheerily. "I'm having
dinner with my family....this is my father....and my two brothers,
Za'kia and Ceth'lith." Argent motioned to each in turn, smiling as her
brothers nodded at the girl. "Won't you join us?"
Inagua didn't have a chance to answer before she was sat in the chair by
Argent as the other queenrider moved a glass of water over.
"Have you eaten?" she ran her eyes over the other girl, trying to match
her gaze. "Well of course you have, or else you wouldn't have been
here..." Argent laughed heartily. "I'm just finishing up with my meal.
You don't mind at all if I eat this piece of chocolate cake do you?"
Inagua shook her head and looked up, unable to believe the utterly
pointless babble that seemed to be coming from this girl.
Argent gave her a warm smile before taking a bite of the cake.
"Are you sure that you don't want some of this cake? There is *no* way
that I'm going to be able to eat this huge slice. Have you ever seen
such a big hunk in all of your life?" Argent shook her head down at the
piece of cake. "I swear, I think I've eaten so much I'm going to
bust..."
Inagua closed her eyes briefly sending a silent prayer to the Gods to
give her patience to put up with this chatterbox. Yet half of her was
thankful the woman seemed to be such an air head, there was no way V'dar
would ever-
Her eyes shot wide open, black and white for all the world to see, at
that thought. What in the world had prompted that?
"I believe Inagua has a brother....and maybe a sister too...?" her
father half said half asked.
"That's right..." Inagua nodded, thankful that someone else had spoken
up. "My brother just left..."
Argent turned around and scanned the dining room. Inagua was thankful
he had left, she wouldn't subject him to this chatterbox, not with
everything else that was happening.
"Well maybe I can meet him sometime..." Argent said, and Inagua added a
silent 'not if I can help it.'
Argent smiled smiled before reaching over and touching the dragonrider's
arm, squeezing it slightly. "I'm sure we're going to be stuck together
a lot...But I'm glad...because it sure was boring in Jasra listening to
all of those lessons. The trainer there just would go on and on and on
and on..." Argent rolled her eyes dramatically.
Inagua barely bit back a groan.
"Say...." She paused as she looked at the other girl again. "Is your
dragon around here? Sil's waiting for me somewhere outside... I guess
they should meet each other too, huh?"
"Mya's.."
<Don't you dare say I'm sleeping, Naga!>
"..just outside," Inagua finished lamely.
<*Thanks a lot, Mya,*> she grumbled silently.
The two of them got up and walked outside and there their dragons were
waiting.
"Argent, Silver, meet Myacura," Inagua introduced almost sourly.
Myacura preened her black and silvery white self infront of the silver
queen.
"She's lovely.." Argent breathed. "She looked like snow flakes at
night."
Inagua considered her queen, snowflakes on obsidian and stubbornly
metalic. "Yes, I suppose she is. Silver is quite lovely as well,"
Inagua added, not having to stretch the truth at all as she considered
the quicksilver queen.
"If you'll excuse me, Argent, there is some one I have to talk to back
inside. Its been very nice meeting you."
"Oh, yes!" Argent agreed. "It was very nice meeting you Inagua. I'm
sure I'll see you at training-"
"Yes," Inagua said simply, quickly backing towards the Dining Hall.
"Good bye, Argent."
With that she turned on her heel and rather rudely walked back into the
dining hall.
