[DL-J] A Room With A View

Z'charai watched as Wade and Jismin looked around. Anxious for her
opinion, he asked again, "So, do you like it?"
Wade walked from the ledge that jutted from the cavern. It was
absolutely perfect. She could hear, see, and smell the ocean, and yet it
was on land. She approached Z`charai and with a large smile replied,
"Oh, yes, Z`charai. It is wonderfully perfect."
Z`charai blushed with pride and hid his eyes by allowing some of his
blond hair to fall across them. He jumped up to show the rest of the
apartment off. "In the back there is a small room off to the side, back
there..." he found himself rambling, embarrassed at the fact he was
showing her "the bedroom." She didn't seem to take offence as she
gracefully walked to the back to see it. He found himself staring at her
walk. The small shells that where attached to her dress moved with her,
mesmerizing him.
"Oh, it is wonderful," she said as she came out. She swirled around with
arms outstretched looking around at the granite walls. She approached
him again, "Thank you so much Z`charai." She kissed him so softly on the
check that he wasn't even sure she had done so, he blushed again.
"I am sorry, have I gone too far? I don't know of your culture and I..."
she did not mean to offend him. She looked away, afraid to make eye
contact with him.
"Oh, no, not too far at all. I... uhm..." he stammered.
The two Dragons watching the drama unfold decided to help the two out.
They walked up to the humans.
~Z`charai is the man that we have watched from a distance. The one that
plays the "sounding stick".~ Jismin informed Wade as Eolanth playfully
nudged and poked at his partner.
"Jismin tells me that we have seen you two before," she said smiling,
remembering the beautiful music he would play on the piece of wood.
"Really?" he said haphazardly batting off the advances of Eolanth, "When
was that?"
"Actually a few times, Jismin and I would listen to you while you played
the 'sounding stick.' You play beautifully."
"Oh, you mean 'flute.' That's what the instruments called. Thanks,
I'm glad you liked it," he said and remembered times when he would hear
singing. "Was that you that was singing?"
"Yes," she said hesitantly.
"You have an incredible voice. All I could think of was finding who it
was. I am even more glad that we have met now," he said regretting the
words he chose.
~Even more glad?~ Eolanth mimicked sarcastically, earning him a look
that conveyed his partners desire for him to be quiet.
"Me too," she replied. Then looking to Jismin she asked, ~Well is this
what you want then?~
~Oh, yes! We can stay then?~Jismin was flapping her wings with
excitement.
~Yes, for now, I'm not promising anything~ and she went and hugged
Jismin.
~Lets go get some of our things!~ Jismin said to Wade. Then added to
Eolanth ~Have to do this before she changes her mind!~ Eolanth smiled
coyly.
"All right," and then turning to Z`charai, "Jismin wants to go and get
some of our things. I have enjoyed your company and would like to talk
more, if you want to wait I don't think we will be very long. There are
many things I need to learn. For instance, I apologize for not taking
hands with you earlier, it is a costume I must get use to it seems."
"I will wait as long as I can, sometimes we get called away," he said
trying to sound very important. Eolanth snorted.
"Well, perhaps you will come see me another time, if you get called
away?"
"Definitely," he replied.
"It was very nice meeting both of you. Is it," and she paused looking
for the word, "appropriate to touch others Dragons?" and as she
approached Eolanth he nodded eagerly. She gently stoked his neck and
said, "You are a magnificent Dragon Eolanth, take care of your rider."
Although her touch was light the Dragon could feel it brimming with
intensity.
"I hope to see you soon Z`charai," Wade continued. Jismin winked at
Eolanth and quickly left without Wade. Flying out and over the water,
turning over in midair and then diving in head first.
"Hey!" Z`charai said wondering why she had left Wade behind.
Wade simply smiled a half grin at him and ran towards the entrance. She
propelled herself away from the cliff and dove gracefully out of sight.
"Hey!" he said again. Then after shrugging his shoulders, "Well, good
bye then."

>Did not know if he wants to wait or not. <G>
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting form you now,
This much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
