(DL-J) Reckoning

....he could only stare increduously at her. He was still groggy and
lightheaded from the wounds and medicine given him and though he'd never
admit to the young woman who stood before him defiantly, he really
needed to sit back down. So with a mumbled cursed at his own predicament
and state of mind he returned to his cot. With a quick glance he
observed what he could of her. She was obviously younger than he, but
her eyes did speak strongly of her. She was also obviously fatigued
probably engaged in more urgent business but still summoned to quell a
minor disturbance. She was indeed someone who had say about this warren,
he thought. Trying his best to hide the pain that was beginning to build
once more at his ribcage, he did what he could to remain focused. Then
the other appeared. Another young woman. Both the same but different.
Her demeanor and bearance didn't quite strike him as someone from this
warren, though he still had much to learn about Jasra, something he
planned to do later when things have settled. His attention going from
the way she stood to the way she patted her scimitar. Like the other,
her apparent youth belied what was set beneath these two women. She
approached like someone use to confrontation, and there was something
else....Devinicus could not quite place it, but something subtle was
very familiar of this one. Something else he may need look into. With a
glance, he turned and saw that the other two apprentices whom he first
encountered were still about, Temoll and Jeanna. Seeing that he was
indeed going nowhere he conceded that retreat would probably be the best
choice of valor at this time.

"Excuse me?" he turned again and not without pain, to find the one with
the blade looking down at him. He hesistated slightly then tried to
manage a smile and regarded both the women once more.

"Devinicus........ My name is Devinicus."

With that, he layed back and closed his eyes. The medicine and the last
moments events taking his toll he began to fall asleep once more...but
not without lastly turning his head to follow the figures of the two
leaving the room. Returning to the peaceful quiet that followed he fell
asleep slowly with thoughts to remind himself to find out more of those
two later, especially the familiar one........

Respectfully submitted

Devinicus and Syllanth
