>"None of you are worthy!" the Wingleader cried as she began to run away from
the men gathered around her. "None of you!"

>The teal female had other plans. One was worthy, she thought... but he'd have
to prove it just like every other male who rose to give chase.

>It was time to prove.

Fayloth knew the minute she roared exactly who it was and exactly who was
going to win! He'd lost her every other time, and there was no way he was
going to lose this time! Not when he .. and his rider .. wanted to win more
then anything.

He gave chase immediately and started out leading the pack in a hot chase
after the challenging female.

The small teal dragon looked down at those trying to catch up to her. She
knew who the worthy one was in her mind, but he would have to win her on his
own to prove he was worthy of her. However she didn't think a little help
would be out of the question.....

She slowed her speed to allow the males to close the distance and angled
closer to the blue dragon just out ahead of the others. Then had to swerve
out of the way as a fine looking Red came to close.

Fayloth roared in anger as the crimson red dragon appeared almost as if
nowhere! Thankfully Doshayne escaped his clutches and swerved out of the
way.

Fayloth set his course and nipped at the heels of the red, causing him to
falter in his flight path. The other dragon howled irritably. Geez what a
cry baby, Fayloth thought as he gained and passed the other dragon.

Doshy let go with a smug grin as she increased her speed and then looped
back around for a second pass. For such a smart dragon... she thought then
dipped back down in his flight path for a second try.

She was baiting him .. he could tell. Well it would backfire, because he'd
catch her this time! He shot like an arrow through the sky straight for her
tender underbelly. He just had to get a bit closer!

Without her knowing it the males had gotten to close, she nearly avoided
being caught by a green, then started to turn and rise when she felt
something grab her from below and tried to fight him off while looking
around for the one she wanted.

Yes! he roared in triumph even as she struggled to free herself. <I win!> he
told her, <Submit!>

As she heard his voice, her struggling stopped and she fell upon him, <I
submit ..>

Fayloth crowed happily, smuggly turning his back on the losers as he led his
prize away.

Doshayne couldn't hide her grin. <*It's about time..... I was beginning to
tire,*> she teased as the two of them flew off together.

On the ground the riders eyes met and the fire which sparked into a full
blaze was clear to any who watched. Saul held out his hand and she took it,
allowing herself to be pulled into his arms.

This is what she had longed for every since she had just joined. To share
with him the wonders of their dragon's mating flight. This time things were
right. Just as they should be.

She followed where he led and when he bent his head to kiss her, she gave
into him with all the love and trust inside her.

"I submit to you," she moaned, opening her heart for him to see what she was
feeling. "I am yours."

<< Morning after >>

Early morning was often her favorite time of the day. Just as the sun was
coming up and Saul began to stir beside her. This morning, after the events
of last night..... and what wonderful events those had been... made this
morning especially wonderful.

She opened her eyes to see deep blue eyes smiling back into hers. "Morning,"
he whispered as he watched her.

"And a fine one it is too," she sighed and rolled over so that their bodies
were pressed together, just as they had been most of the night and on into
the wee hours of morning.

She felt something stirring between them and chuckled.

"Again? Didn't you get enough last night?" she teased, though her longings
for him were for long. How she loved this man of hers.

"I seem to remember it as you who kept begging me for more my dear," he
reminded her shamelessly.

"And you were more then willing to go along with me," she told him, bring
her arms up around his neck and pulling him along so they ended up with him
on top of her.

"I do believe that Fayloth will be insufferable now that he's finally won
Doshy in a flight," she sighed as she ran her fingers through his soft dark
hair. "I know Doshy is this morning."

Saul shrugged, "It's worth it to me. I don't care if he becomes the lands
most insufferable dragon. I would still want him to have won." Saul grinned,
"In fact, I'd like to see him win Doshayne next time as well .. and the time
after that .. and after that .."

"Then we'll just have to be sure to let him know what a smart dragon he was
this time in winning," Shawnee muttered against the lips that had begun to
tease hers. "And make sure he gets and extra long... oiling..... Oh
Saul.....!"

"Hmmm," he murmured, "What .. did you think we were done?"

Regards,
Saul & Fayloth (the winningest of dragons!)
