Briana spent the rest of the day on the practice grounds. Occasionally 
one of her students would stop by & she would work with them awhile. She 
was about to quit when she noticed Reolden standing off to the side of 
the grounds.

"Hi, how ya doin?" Briana asked

"Sorry to interrupt you, just wanted to watch. I find it very 
interesting" Reolden said

"No interruption, come anytime." Briana said "Do you know any acrobatics?"

"No I don't, but it has always interested me" Reolden said

"Well, anytime you want, come on by" Briana said "I was just getting 
ready to head to dinner, are you heading that way?"

"Sure" Reolden said

They walked towards the dining hall talking along the way. When they 
reached near the outside Briana suddenly stopped.

"You go in, I'll be in in a little bit" Briana said

Reolden was puzzled then he noticed Briana looking at S'brogh & him 
looking back across the clearing outside the dining hall.

"Ok, see you later" Reolden said

Briana's heart ached as she looked at S'brogh & then she started to turn 
away.

"Briana, wait" S'brogh said

Briana turned, trying to brace herself for another angry outburst. "Yes?"

"I have been wanting to talk to you about yesterday & earlier today" 
S'brogh said.

"By the way, how are you up? Somehow I can't pictur Almiron healing you 
with others so critical" Briana said

"It was an acciden. I ran into him in the medical center & it just 
happened" S'brogh said.

"Oh, ok" Briana said "Anything else?"

"Look, Briana, I didn't mean to be so angry at you, but I didn't like 
having my feelings ignored" S'brogh said.

"And what about my feelings? they don't matter? Briana asked "I was so 
worried about you."

"I can't stand to have anyone see me helpless, an invalid. never have 
been able to." S'brogh said "I wouldn't even see Wynn or Evelle"

"I don't understand" Briana said

"I know you don't, & I don't really understand you not respecting my 
feelings & trusting me" S'brogh said "But I'd like to try & work past 
this, Briana"

"I don't know, S'brogh. I would also like to work past this. I value your 
friendship" Briana said "Let me think about this & lets give it some 
time, ok?"

"Ok, sounds fair enough....for both of us" S'brogh said

"I am glad you are up & doing better, I was worried" Briana said. "I am 
going to eat now. Are you headed that way?"

"No, I ate early & was just leaving" S'brogh said.

"Ok, see you later" Briana said

They parted ways & briana entered the dining hall & got her food & 
rejoined the rest of Gamma wing. Reolden looked at her look of 
thoughtfulness. "Anything wrong?" he asked.

"No, just have some thinking to do" Briana said. She looked around the 
table & noticed most of the others there. Almiron was at the other end of 
the table & looked to be finishing up. She ate a little faster wanting to 
talk a little with Almiron after dinner. A little later she noticed a 
commotion down near Almirons end of the table & heard Kyven shouting at 
Almiron.

Briana jumped up & followed Almiron out the door. She caught up to him & 
called out softly "Almiron?"

He turned. He looked very upset.

"Can I help, Almiron? I know about what happened with S'brogh. I saw him 
right before dinner" Briana said.

"It was Hehran's will" Almiron said simply, although thoughts were 
running about in his head.

"I believe that you & Hehran do what is needed & noone should question a 
deity's will" Briana said. "S'brogh explained to me that the reason he 
was so angry is that he can't bear for anyone to see him when he is weak 
& helpless. Maybe Hehran thought it best that he be whole so that Evelle 
& Wynn & everyone else who cares for him could concentrate on what they 
needed to do."

Almiron thought about that. "He is healed. That is all that matters now"

Briana took his hands in hers. "You would never misuse your powers that 
Hehran blessed you with" briana looked into his eyes & found herself 
leaning into him. She then reached up & lightly kissed him on the corner 
of the mouth & then smiled at him. "You go be with Darshan & think about 
things. See you tomorrow"

Briana headed off towards the apartment area & then called to Star.

(Star, I want to go home)

(yes, lets sleep, Briana)

Star landed & then Briana climbed aboard. They took off to the apartment 
where Briana climbed off & fell asleep immediately after hitting the bed.

The last thing she saw before falling asleep was Almiron's face looking 
slightly bemused & puzzled, the look he had had after she kissed him. She 
was smiling when she drifted off to sleep.

Briana awoke the next morning late. She grabbed some fruit & headed to 
the practice grounds on Star. The students were alreadt there & she 
worked with them awhile & with stephanie & then decided to relax before 
starting her own excercises. She lay back against Star & looked up at the 
sunny sky & wondered.

(Star, you are still a lot smaller than the other dragons)

(But big enough to carry you!)

(I know, little one, but you are about half their size...I am not a 
strain on you am I?)

(Of course not. I am made just for you)

Briana smiled. (Ok, just wanted to make sure. I love you, little one)

(I love you too, little one)

Briana snuggled against Star & just looked up at the blue sky & enjoyed 
the sunshine.
