(DL - K) Making Decisions....

After talking a bit with Briana, David wandered away yet again.
Christalla should be at recess about now, and he looked forward to the
walk in the sunshine. He was feeling better, the ache in his head
nothing but a small bit of pressure. Besides, he wanted to
talk with M'ressan about what happened at Marrid. He would understand...

Many people were walking around in the afternoon, going about buisness or
play. Not many DragonRiders, and some gave a nod or a hello. He would
have to tell his parents that he would be moving with Minty to Marrid,
and that he would come as often as he could to continue his training.
They would understand, or at least he hoped. Making many turns and
climbing some stairs, David found himself infront of the DragonLadies
office.

He hadn't seen her very much since he had been at the warren. Their
paths just didn't cross very often. The last time was the incident with
V'rdeen. He would have to apologise formally to her, also. Knocking
lightly, he heard a 'come in' from the other side, and he opened the
door.

The small woman was sitting in her chair much the same way as when he met
her for the first time. Except now she showed signs of her pregnancy.
David smiled and bowed slightly. "DragonLady, Minty and I would be
pleased t'offer our services t'Marrid Warren. We've talked et over, and
know that they need us more now than Keldarra does." He said, blushing
slightly. "And I would also like t'apologise t'ye for what happened with
V'rdeen. I didn't mean t'fly off te'handle like I did."

Christalla nodded, and smiled. "I'm sure Marrid will appreciate your
transfer. They are in need of a telepath anyways, and Minty has shown
herself to be an excellent wing-second. I'm sure we'll miss you, but you
are needed there."

David raised a point. "If et would be allright, I would like t'be able
t'fly back and forth between warrens t'continue me trainin with
te'Guild. Et would only be a few times a week..."

Christalla nodded, and added. "It would be up to your new WarrenLady,
but it is fine with me. When you are moved in, set up an appointment with
her."

David nodded, and inquired to where M'ressan would be.

"He sould be somewhere around the dining commons about now. Is it
about... um...." The DragonLady seemed to be hesitent, even a bit
reluctant to mention about his telepathy.

"Me telepathy, m'lady." David finished for her. "About what happened at
Marrid."

"Yes, yes," Chrisalla said, and made a shooing motion with her hand. "I
have some work to do. Thank you again for your willingness to transfer."

David nodded, and made a short bow. As he was half-way out of the door,
Christalla called after him. "And David, don't worry about what happened
with V'rdeen. Everything is fine now."

David smiled widely, and closed the door softly behind him. Now to seek
out M'ressan. David walked a ways to the dining hall, getting a little
tired since he hadn't been out for a couple days and was sick. He
stopped to rest a few times, but made it there just as M'ressan was
leaving. Walking up to him, he reached out with his mind.

'M'ressan? Can we talk?' He thought, and the older man stopped, looking
dazed. Turning around, he spotted David and nodded, smiling.

'Of coarse. Is everything all right?' M'ressan asked, keeping their
conversation between their minds.

'Et's about what happened at Marrid... I don't understand...' David
thought, and explained to M'ressan the pain and loss he had felt. It was
more than talking, the feelings expressed in images and emotions felt
deeper than words could describe. Tears actually came to David's eyes
when he remembered every name of who had died, and every call that was
made.

M'ressan just let the boy continue, knowing what he had felt. He knew
David sought for answers...
