Briana filled her days at the warren waiting for the hatching to occur. 
She spent time teaching the youngsters tumbling & acrobatics & some of 
them were quite good. She had noticed a boy by the name of Mukale 
watching them occasionally & he seemed rather interested, but everytime 
she was about to ask him to join them one of the children commanded her 
attention. Stephanie was really coming along, & soon would be able to 
teach some of the younger children by herself, leaving Briana for the 
more complicated ones.

She also found herself spending more & more time with S'brogh & they grew 
closer & closer. She found that she enjoyed his playfulness & how he made 
her feel special. She also enjoyed their lovemaking more & more each time 
it happened. He was making hints about after she joined that they might 
get a joint apartment, but so far she had eveaded giving him an answer.

All in all her life was very happy, except a few snide comments & glares 
from V'rdeen. She ignored him but wondered in Evelle was still looking 
into it. She had tried to talk with her but the Warrenlady seemed rather 
busy with trying to take some of the burden off of the Dragonlady.

But still there was something missing. & she knew what it was. She was 
waiting for the hatching. She knew that she would join this time to a 
dragon. It was what would make her life complete.

Briana & S'brogh were just landing in the clearing from their mountaintop 
when Iganeth joined a number of dragons trumpeting.

(They're hatching! The eggs are hatching!)

"What's going on?" Briana asked S'brogh excitedly

"The eggs are hatching! Lets go!" S'brogh replied

They had not even had time to dismount so Iganeth immediately took off 
for the hatching grounds. They landed & Briana looked at S'brogh before 
dismounting & said "This is it."

"Good luck, little one. But remember, its not the end of the world if you 
don't join this time" S'brogh said

"I will join, I know it" Briana looked at him

He smiled at her & gave her a kiss for good luck.

Briana entered the hatching grounds & watched as the eggs started 
cracking, looking for the one that belonged to her. She started to walk 
towards a sky blue egg as it was cracking. This was it. As the egg 
started to crack, Briana was there & into her arms tumbled a beautiful 
little white dragon with wide blue eyes. The two sets of blue eyes met & 
Briana smiled. Her arms went around the dragon & cuddled her & then she 
looked up & saw S'brogh in the crowd & yelled "Her name is Starleana!"

Starleana crooned at Briana & pushed at her.

(I am hungry)

Briana reached over to where the meat was kept for the baby dragons & 
started to feed Star, one hand feeding & the other wrapped around Star 
petting her. Tears were streaming down her face & she was grinning ear to 
ear.

(Are you alright?)

(Oh, yes sweet Star, this is the most wonderful day of my life!)

Briana looked to the sky & thought "Dad, I wish you could be here to see 
this, but I promise you I will make you proud" & she could swear she 
heard back "You always have made me proud my darling girl, always"

Briana lay back in the sands with Starleana in her arms beside her 
cuddling each other both of them very happy.
