Briana awoke the next morning. After Evelle had been taken the night 
before, she had felt so useless. She stared at her broken arm in frustration.

She washed, dressed and headed to get some breakfast. She looked for 
Almiron, concerned after their conversation the previous day. She didn't 
see him. 

(Star, ask Darshan where  Almiron is please)

(He's at Salinda's)

Briana puzzled about this, then figured that maybe he had heard about her 
being ill and had gone to check on her and see if he could do anything.

Briana finished eating and then headed for her practice area. She spotted 
Darlea on her way oiling Makayla. She asked after Salinda.

Darlea seemed very down about something....Briana was concerned.

> "Me? No, I'm fine," she said, with a forced smile, after Briana asked 
what was wrong.

> "Now I know something's wrong." Briana said crossing her arms, "What is it?"

> "Honestly, Briana, everything's fine."

> "You and Almiron are beginning to sound alike... I got the same thing from
> him yesterday." Briana said exasperated.

> At the mention of his name, Darlea felt the tears begin again. She turned
> quickly to hide them, but it wasn't quick enough. "Darlea?" Briana asked
> concerned, putting her hand on the girls shoulder, "What's going on... and
> don't try and tell me nothing."

> "It's Almiron..." she sobbed, "He... It's all different now... Everything's
> changed!"  She slid to the ground unable to say anymore. She had made a
> promise to Salinda. She wouldn't break that promise.

> "Why?" she asked putting her arms around Darlea's sobbing form.

> "It doesn't matter," she sobbed, "It's not like we were ~mated~." The word
> had a touch of bitterness to it.
> 
Try as she might Briana couldn't get anything else out of Darlea. She 
held her as she cried, until finally Darlea dried her tears.

"I think I am going to go to Marrid today. I want to see my father." 
Darlea said.

"I understand" Briana said "And Darlea, whenever you need to talk..."

"I know" Darlea hugged her.

Briana headed off, very puzzled and slightly upset with Almiron. What had 
he done to Darlea?

She saw stephanie dismissing the youngsters after their practice and 
Briana apoligized that she was still unable to teach her.

"Thats alright, Briana" Stephanie said "I am continueing to work out on 
my own and will be ready when you are healed."

"I am glad" Briana said.

"Gotta run, see you later" Stephanie headed off.

Briana did some stretching exercises but became quickly frustrated that 
she could not do more with her arm the way it was. She headed back 
towards the warren, exasperated.

She was so busy thinking and wondering what she could do even with her 
arm broken that she almost ran Almiron down.

"Darshan told me, you looked for me this morning" Almiron said

"yes, I did" Briana said "Almiron, what the hell did you do to Darlea?"
