Darlea

Darlea stepped out into the mid-morning sun, more worried about Almiron
then she had been last night. Last night she had felt that something was
wrong, and now she knew what it was. He had been cool to the touch last
night. Not hot like he normally was when his healing gift took over. She
wondered what vow it was he had broken. She never understand his gift,
she'd just learned to take it for granted .. and now it was gone. Which put
Almiron at a great risk right now.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a dark head anxiously  duck behind
the med center. Curious she headed towards where she had seen it. As she
rounded the corner of the building , her eyes softened a bit, "Salinda?"

The girl turned and looked at her. "Hi Darlea," she said quietly.

"Did you come to see Almiron?"

"No .. Well, I hoped to find out how he was. I know he probably doesn't
want to see me." she explained. "But I was worried about him."

"He's .." she began not exactly knowing what to tell the girl, "He's awake.
But he wanted to be alone for a bit."

She nodded. Then turned away.

"Salinda." Darlea called the girl back, "I'm sure he'd appreciate knowing
that you stopped by."

"Then you can tell him next time you see him." She turned quickly and
walked away.

Darlea watched her go, then with a sigh headed to the dining hall for
breakfast.
