(DL) Trendal's first flight
NRPG: Oops. I forgot the [DL] in the subject of my last post. The
subject was Training. If anyone missed it let me know and I'll send you a
copy of it.
RPG:
Trendal was all excited. M'Ressan had just told the riders that
they were going to start flying today. He was so anxious to go hunting for
the first time that he could hardly contain himself. <Reolden! Isn't it
great! I'm going to get to go hunting! And then we can fly together! Just
think of the places we can go and explore. This is going to be fun.>
<You sure are excited about it. I hope you have a good time
hunting.>
<Oh, I'm sure I will.> Just then M'Ressan said they could go and
Trendal lept into the air, started flapping his wings, and took off for his
first flight.
From high in the air Trendal spotted a tasty looking cow in the
herd and swooped down to pick up dinner. He easily caught it and had a
small feast. This all came very natural to him, and he couldn't wait to
take Reolden flying and show him what the freedom of the sky was like.
********
Later that evening Trendal heard from one of the other warren
dragons that King Jaldor was refusing to send the tribute required, which
would make hunting difficult since the herds would diminish. <Reolden,
I've got some bad news. Jaldor is refusing to send the tribute due. Is
there anything you can do since he's your father?>
<Uh, I don't know. He never let me be involved in any decision
making, and never listened to my suggestions. I don't know if I could help
or not. Who should I talk to to offer my help?>
<Christalla, the Dragonlady, would be who you should see. She may
want to send Evelle to Jaldor as an official representative, but it might
be good if you went also.>
<Do you think it would be okay for me to just go talk to her? And
I'd like for you to come with me if we go see my father.>
<I'm sure that Christalla wouldn't mind talking to you. I want to
go with you if I can. Now, go.>
********
Reolden knocked at Christalla's door. "Come in", he heard a
pleasant voice say, and he opened the door. "Oh, Reolden, please come in.
What can I do for you?"
"Good evening, Dragonlady. I have heard that my father has refused
to send the tribute shipment that he was suppsed to and wanted to offer my
services if there is anything I can do to help."
NRPG: Well, Susan, I'll let you take it from there. You could always put
Reolden and Evelle together for a bit and see what happens. :)
