(DL) Horror, Most Severe
Susan, this is the message, please edit this, and forward it to
everyone else. Be happy it's as tame as it it, due to the fact for a
while, I was seriously thinking of killing Carie off. Let me know what
ya think.

Michel was extremely happy as he left the DragonLady's office. Here it
had only been a few days since he had seen Carie, but he missed her
greatly. But that was about to change.
"This is great," he thought happily to himself, "Now maybe we can both
finally start over again."
He already had felt not quite right while here, and her there. As if
the two of them belonged next to each other, and all was well with the
world when they were.
Later that evening, Michel was approached by a tall man.
"Hello Michel, I'm R'mar. I was asked to give you a lift to Ralengarde."
"Evening, Sir. I much appreciate the ride. I would have gone myself,
but was told that Paranth isn't ready yet. Tho, listening to him, you'd
think he'd been flying for years."
R'mar nodded, knowing full well how invulnerable some young dragons
felt.
They got on Taylib, R'mar's Dragon, and started the flight to
Ralengarde, arriving there shortly after the sun had set.
"Is it ok if we meet you at the Travelers' Rest?" Michel asked R'mar.
"Sounds good to me. Give me a chance to relax," the older man said
with a broad smile.
As they parted, Michel once again reminded himself of just how lucky he
was. Here he was, 24...far older than most searchlings ever were..and
definately far older than most of the people he was training with.
Michel rounded the corner to "home", an Alley. He was walking along
and was tapped from behind. He swung quickly around, and was knocked to
his knees from the direction he ahd originally been going.
"You going soft?" He heard a familiar voice ask.
"No, just old," he said, getting up to turn and hug Carie.
"Well," he started to say to her "I was picked. The past two days I
have been in training, and was going to move you to the warren, if you
would like to go. If you wish to stay, that isn't a problem," he fidgeted.
"I will go," she said, seemingly spellbound.
"Great, let's go. There's a friend waiting at the Rest."
***************************************************************
They got back later in the evening, to which both of them went ot the
room and immediately fell asleep.
The next morning, Michel awoke to Paranth's voice.
*Michel, the Tithe isn't coming.*
"What do you mean it isn't coming???"
*Apparently King Jaldor is upset that Reolden was chosen, and isn't
sending it*
"That's crazy, that's the same as declaring war. Ok, nuff said. What
do we do in the meantime?"
*Well, a few of us are not eating from the stock here, in order to save
for the others*
"But you'll starve taht way."
*A chance, tho, I have an idea. If we went out early, we may be able to
find a farm, or talk to a local farmer, and see about some food*
"A thought anyways." Michel yawned. "So, it's an early flight? Do
you think you can handle that?"
*Michel, I dont' have much choice. I can handle it, it will be a strain
after we get back, but until then, it is manageable.*
Michel strapped on his knives after getting dressed. Looked like an
eventful day anyways. He would have to come up with a reason why he and
Paranth weren't at training this morning, tho he didn't think that would
b too hard.
****************************************************************
The two had been flying for a while, looking for food, when Paranth
started acting odd.
*Michel, something is not right here. LOOK!*
Michel looked down, and in the plain, he saw two Wraiths. He thought
"Oh NO!" as he suddenly felt a pain to the back of his head, and blacked out.

Back at Training, M'ressan and the others had been going over some of the
more complicated flying maneuvers they would have to learn eventually,
and had been paid a visit by the Dragonlady, when they heard a Keening.
Every dragon at the Warren was starting to make the same low-pitched
sound, almost like a humming. As they were all looking around, Both
M'ressan and David put their hands to their heads, and fell to their
knees. Christalla backed away from M'ressan a little bit, and watched,
fear registering in her eyes. At that point, she heard from Kaeryth
*Christalla, Paranth, he's in trouble. Wraiths*
M'ressan was starting to recover, and simply said "Paranth's yelling
for help. He sent a vision of where he is. Michel is passed out on the
ground, and there are two wraiths. But, that's not the worst of it....
"There appears to be a Rogue Dragonrider working with the Wraiths."

NRPG: Whew. Wish I could have included more, believe me, There is
plenty more where this thought came from. If someone would be so kind,
when the other Dragons start to get there, the area will be covered in a
smoke. Now, the Dragons can see thru this smoke, but, Humans and Wraiths
have an almost impossible time seeing thru it. It is Paranth's ability.
Any Questions?
Justin: Hope you don't mind me using David in such a way. Paranth's
psionic cry for help was powerful, and I figured if David was such a
telepath, he would get tagged big time by it, just like M'ressan.
Good luck, all.
