(DL) Confusion....
David stopped and turned as Araminta said goodbye, almost running towards
Kirimith, seemingly upset. Tilting his head in confusion, he watched her
go towards her dragon. Maybe she had not meant what she said, the way
she said it. M'ressan spoke that many people were skeptical and afraid of
telepathy. Some shying away, and others just not knowing what to think.
Minty had seemed to become frightened by his contacting M'ressan, but the
way she reacted spoke of the opposite. David shook his head to clear the
arguments in his mind. The last thing he had wanted to do was push her
away, and to hurt her by being a iron-headed idiot shot a spike of pain
through his stomach. He wondered why...?
Heading back towards her, David felt out with his mind towards Kirimith.
The dragon had reacted violently when her father had hurt her, and David
didn't want to end up with the same scars Almiron wore. Her back was
turned, and she lay against Kirimith tiredly, her offering a wing for
shade... and perhaps comfort?
As David cautiously approached, he talked to the protective dragon....
'Kirimith, what es wrong with Araminta?' He asked, altering his thoughts
to include the emotions of concern and misunderstanding.
The dragon turned its scaley head and stared at David. Dark eyes
narrowed and looked him over, and then sighed, anger releaseing from the
gaze.
*It was the way you acted. What did she say to upset you so, that you
should lash out at her like that?* The dragon answered finally, a little
anger returning with the thought.
David sighed and nodded his head.
'I did not understand her reaction about me telepathy, and took et fer
fear and mistrust.' He lowered his head slightly, and held out his hands
in surrender. 'I did not mean what I did, and I wish t' apologise to her
if ye would let me? M'ressan told me that telepathy was usually taken
with negative emotions, and...... ' David searched for the proper words,
'I acted without thinkin. I do care fer her, and the last thing I would
want t' do es hurt her en any way.' His face showed the concern and
shame of being so cold to one that had only showed him warmth and
friendship. 'Can ye tell her I be sorry?'

NRPG:
This is very entertaining. Seems that David just doesn't
understand females much, as well as his own emotions. He is just 17
though. Of coarse, I don't think any male truely understands a female
anyways. (extremely large grin)
I wonder if he'll get slapped in the face for being stupid?
(laughing wildly in the background) Well Lesley?
BTW, has any male actually reacted like that? Misunderstanding
one emotion, and taking it for another.
thanx,
Justin
