Lori awoke the next morning to hands stroking her body. She remembered 
the pleasures Michel & her had shared last night & quickly rolled on top 
of him. Their lovemaking was again just as good & she sighed with pleasure.
Her eyes strayed to a mark on his shoulder.

> tell, someone killed him.  Now, you, having found the body, were an 
> obvious next target, so, When I got out, I came to make sure you were ok, 
> and if you remembered anything odd that day.  However, finding the guards 
> outside, that was...kinda pointless then.  Since I was already here, I 
> thought it might be a good idea to make another friend at the warren."

Lori listened as she realized that this was the man who had been 
investigating that her former partner had shot. Her hand strayed towards 
the pillow, where hiding beneath she always kept a dagger, then she stopped.
First, he didn't look as though he were suspicious of her, Second, she 
still had guards outside, & Third......there was something about this 
man, something that she felt.....

> Michel smiled.  "I'm glad I got the chance to meet you.  Tis weird, but I 
> doubt I would have under any other circumstance, so I guess getting shot 
> was a good thing after all."

> Lori smiled back and nodded her head.  Leaning forward, she kissed MIchel 
> again.

She was glad he was leaving, at least for a time. She needed to think, & 
with him being here, she hardly could.

> "I gotta go," MIchel said.  "Wing Practice, will you be here later?  
> Perhaps we could go to dinner again?"

> "Yes, I would like that," Lori replied.

> Paranth landed, Michel gave Lori a kiss goodbye, and went to Practice.

Lori watched as he flew away on Paranth. She envied him a little. She 
remembered her flight yesterday & how wonderful it had felt. She also 
thought about how wonderful it would be to have someone like that that 
you could always count on & who always would love you no matter what. She 
had never had anyone like that in her life. Everyone she had had in her 
life had always wanted her for something & when she dissapointed them 
they had left her. That was why she only counted on herself.

Michel.....no, she couldn't let herself think like that. He would just 
hurt her like the others. She would have fun with him but when he moved 
on she wouldn't be hurt. She would keep her heart protected.

Lori quickly dressed & decided to hit Briana's practice grounds to work 
off a little energy. 

As she started off for them, she noticed her guard following her. She 
decided to stop at the Guild of Swords for a moment before heading there.

She confronted the person she had talked to yesterday. "Look, I am tired 
of having my privacy invaded by your guards. I will go to the Warrenlady 
if you continue. I am a guest here & also I can take care of myself if 
someone attacks me."

She waited as the person before  her pondered her words.

Lori headed again for the practice grounds & noticed that Stephanie was 
dismissing Briana's students. She waved at her & started stretching. She 
was going to relieve this stress & forget what her heart was feeling if 
it took all day!
