(DL-M) Oh boy!

"He said he'd let me know the test results later. What am I going to do,
David?" Minty turned frightened eyes to her mate.

David reached out to her with his good arm, and he embraced her as
solidly as he could. "Its goin t'be all right, love. We still don't
know fer sure yet..."

She looked at him, and shook her head. "But what else could it be?
David, I don't know if I'm ready for all of this!"

David just held onto her, running his hands through her hair as she just lay
there, small tears escaping from her eyes. He wasn't frightened in the
least. Fate would deal what it will, no matter what it was. Besides, he
loved Minty enough to support her in anything, even this, as unprepared
as they were. As she calmed down a bit, David kissed her gently. "When
will te'test be finished?" He asked, drying her eyes. His shoulder had
started to hurt again, but not bad.

"Sometime tomorrow." She mumbled, her eyes both confused and scared. He
had to have strength, for her sake. She looked into his eyes, and found
the courage she needed.

"Then we will wait until tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere..." He said,
motioning to his bandaged arm, making a small smile.

Minty grinned back, and nodded thoughtfully, then remembered why she was
upset at him origionally. David again noticed the devious glimmer in her
eyes, and gave a mental sigh. 'Here we go again!' He thought.

"Now what the hell were you thinking about, getting up like that this
morning. D'ssarian told me all about it, so don't try to deny it!" She
said, her previous fear gone and replaced by loveable nagging.

David just shrugged, knowing that he wouldn't win, no matter what he
did. That was one of the things he had learned about women. When they
were like this, even the god's themselves couldn't claim victory. He
chuckled to himself.

Minty just looked at him and shook her head in mock disgust. "Now you
know what I'm going to have to do? I'm going to make sure that every
moment D'ssarian will allow, someone is going to be in here until you
recover, keeping you in place."

David just closed his eyes and grumbled. It was going to be a long
stay. Damn Malk and damn his cursed sword....

The couple talked a little bit more, chiding eachother and discussing
what would have to be done if Minty was indeed with child. Soon David
was exhausted, and as D'ssarian made his rounds he noticed his faint
look.

"It's time to go Araminta." He said, a smile on his face. "You two can
see eachother later when David get's some rest, ok?"

Minty was about to argue, then looked at David. His eyes were allready
drooping and he had a dazed look about him. "I'll go get something to
eat, and then come back later. Is that all right love?" She asked David.

David nodded groggily, and mumbled "I love ye." while his breathing
slowed. Minty got up and watched him for a few moments, and nodded at
the healer with a smile, thanking him for everything. After she left,
D'ssarian remained by David's bedside, watching him as the dreams started
up again.

David fell into blackness again, the horrible dreams of falling and of
something familliar about the air always repeating over and over. The
healer frowned, and wondered if the amulet had someting to do with these
hallucinations. There was someone he could ask... A'rillia. She might
be able to do something, although what, he had no idea about.

After making sure David wasn't going to hurt himself, D'ssarian decided
to go out and find the new QueenRider....
