Arri turned to the young woman who was suddenly blocking her path and
chuckled inwardly. Would there ever come a day when that honorific didn't
make her flinch as if she had been slapped?

Arri frowned "Just A'Rilla," she corrected gruffly. "What can I do for you,
young lady?"

>"I'm Ailill, I found the girl..."
>"Yasmine, her name is Yasmine"

Arri wondered if her exhaustion was showing in her voice. The lass probably
thought she was being cross, but it was just that the sheer weight of the
memories that girl was bringing up in A'Rillia's own heart was crushing her,
it seemed.

>Ailill smiled "I was wondering how Yasmine was doing La..um.. A'rilla, and
if there is anything I can do to help her recover?"

Arri couldn't help but smile when the girl corrected herself. At least she
was *trying*, which was more than she'd ever grown to expect.

"If you plan on getting involved in this, we'd better leave it at Arri," the
elder healer said with a chuckle. "At the moment, she needs sleep more than
anything else, and I fully intend on letting her have it, which means no
visitors."

When the girl's face fell, Arri patted her shoulder and added, "You can help
by explaining to me under what circumstances you found her and where she
was, if there was anyone else around... that sort of thing."

Ailill looked puzzled. "How could that help?"

"She's been saying some rather confusing things, and if I could figure out
where you found her and if she's told you anything about what happened, it
might help me figure out if she's ranting or if I should have them looked
into by a few of the scouts," explained the woman patiently, "Why don't you
join me for a light lunch and tell me how you encountered our little
princess out on the middle of no-place anyhow..."

And if you're with me, I won't feel so guilty about the other people I wish
were with me or the ones I alienated with my shouting fits or the ones I'm
supposed to be coming up with miracle cures for or... Arri added in her head
privately, waiting for Ailill's response.

The trainee shrugged and nodded, following Arri to the dining hall.

>NRPG: pleeeeeeease let her help. I would be forever in your debt. ;]
NRPG: Oh really? <G> Arri tends to remember those "forever debts." So start
talking, kiddo. You're providing ammo for a one-woman-revenge band. <G>
Besides, Arri forgets to actually eat unless there's someone there.
Otherwise she just worries through lunch and doesn't ingest half of it. Once
Yasmine wakes up and is a little more coherent (Sorry Morgie, but since
you're waiting on Carie's clutch, keeping your character asleep for a while
seemed prudent...) I'm sure she'll ask you to keep her company or something.
<chuckling>

BTW: Katherine: It's almeidaj@neveda.edu, which is probably why you may be
having mailer problems with the address. You had an extra "a" in Justin's
last name. (Speaking of whom... how's he holding out anyway? Any sign of an
e-mail addy for the poor guy soon?)
