[DL-M]: Wandering around...
by

Kendal wandered through the halls as stealthfully as he could. His sword
was unsheathed and was determination to find someone to use it on. Great
he thought. Been here less than a month and already someone tries to
attack and burn down his new home. Figured this would happen.
Kendal made his way to the upper apartments and Waylene's office.
He figured it best to ensure that she was alright before making his way
down to the med-center. Her safety had to be ensured.
Shock troops had penetrated and began moving about the warren.
Even if the wing took out the archers and the ballistas, it would be hell
getting the ground troops in the warren out.
"M'lady, where are you. M'lady."
"Kendal! Is that you."
Kendal pushed open the door to her office to see her walk in from
the ledge. She rushed over to him as he entered. She didn't notice at
first, but soon realized that he was hurt as his stance seemed weak. She
looked him over quickly and saw the blood stain on his shirt.
"Are you alright."
"Don't worry about me, I'll be alright. Come on I've got to get
you out of here before anything happens to you."
"I can't leave Kendal, not while my warren is in danger."
"It'll do you no good to get captured or die here m'lady. I have
to get you out of here and to safety."
"I'm sorry Kendal I can't leave. Not until this crisis is over."
"Then at least lets get to someplace safer than here. There are
shock troops all over the place. They may find us any minute."
Kendal moved closer to escort her out, when he felt his strength
give way. He fell forward, with Waylene trying to hold him up. She was
surprised by his fall and struggled a bit to help Kendal back to his feet.
His weight was a bit more than she could lift.
"You're hurt bad, here let me take a look at that wound."
"I'm fine M'lady." Grabbing on to the edge of her desk, Kendal
pushed himself back to his feet. He still felt weak but he could manage,
if by nothing else, sheer will power.

Just felt like posting something, a bit short.

The World has no room for cowards.
We must all be ready to toil, to suffer, to die.
And yours is not less noble because no drum beats before you
when you go out into your daily battlefields.
And no crowds shout about your coming when you return
from your daily victory or defeat.
