[DL-M]: Ouch...

This had been the second time that Kendal was stuck in the
med-center due to injuries, in less than a week. For the most part he had
been very lucky. Having lost as much blood as he did, a few more minutes
and Kendal might have died due to blood loss.
Ailill walked into the room to see Kendal sitting up and
trying to put his shirt on. He winced as he raised his arms, stretching
the wound a bit.
"What in the world are you doing."
"I'm checking out of here."
"Are you crazy. You've lost so much blood and took an arrow wound
that would have pierced evena dragon's hide. No, lay back and get some
rest mister."
"There are too many injured, the med-center doesn't even have
space. I can rest in my apartment."
"Lay back, thats an order soldier."
Ailill grabbed on to Kendal's shoulders and firmly pushed him back
down into bed. Kendal was too weak to resist and ploped back down.
"Listen buster, How many times do I have to tell you that you are
not alone any more. You keep pulling these stupid stunts. What were you
thinking, you could have been killed. And another thing, you go out in
some patrol mission and don't even tell me you're going...And what are you
grinning at."
Kendal couldn't help but smile at how furious Ailill was. He was
just simply glad to know she was alive and to see her so upset about him,
made him feel happy.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For caring." Kendal reached out and placed his hand on hers.
Her anger at him subsiding for the moment, replaced by the feeling of
happiness to know that this crisis was over and that Kendal was alive. She
pulled a chair up and sat down next to him, both still holding each
others hands.

Just a quick short one...
--------------------------------
The World has no room for cowards.
We must all be ready to toil, to suffer, to die.
And yours is not less noble because no drum beats before you
when you go out into your daily battlefields.
And no crowds shout about your coming when you return
from your daily victory or defeat.
-Robert Louis Stevenson
