[Day 4 - evening]

Tina stood on the edge of the crowed as Koda explained why she was   
leaving the flight wing. Koda left in what Tina guessed was distress.

<Geee that's a shame, I quite liked Koda. I think I'll go after her.>
<Are you mad, she obviously wants to be alone.> nagged Shella
<What people 'want' and what people 'need' are not always the same   
thing.> preached Tina.

Tina went after Koda and caught up with some way into the warren.
"Hey!" Tina called after Koda. "Hey slow down a bit." Koda stopped and   
tunred to see who was calling after her.
"Oh hi." said Koda, obviously not herself.
"Gods you sure go at a pace when you want to." chatted Tina sliding her   
arm through Koda's. "It's quite a nice place, this warren of yours."
"The warren?" said Koda slightly confused.
"Yeah I mean you all seem so friendly and a genuinely nice bunch of   
guys."

"If you don't mind I'd quite like to be alone." said Koda firmly but   
politely. Tina looked long and hard at Koda.
"Hmmm yep I guess you do want to be alone. I think you need to talk to   
some-one, a problem shared is a problem halved that's what I've always   
believed."
"Look I know you mean well but please....." began Koda.
"Look, you're pale, tired, upset, obviously something is *really*   
troubling you. You look as if you're about to burst into tears and well   
you *should* talk to some-one. I'll be blunt with you," said Tina over   
riding Koda "if you can't talk to a friend in the warren because it   
personal or whatever then speak to me. I'm a stranger here, I might not   
be around for long, and I am not going to judge you in any way. Sometimes   
the best person to talk to is someone who can look on the matter in a   
totally detached way."

"I know you mean well but..." said Koda
"All I am offering you is some-one to talk to, and a shoulder to cry on.   
>From what I can see you don't want anyone to be around you but you sure   
do need some-one."

Barb - I hope you don't mind Tina poking her nose in. I thought Koda   
needed some-one to talk to. If not feel free to tell to butt out. If you   
hadn't guessed Tina is thick skinned! *grin*
