[DL-M] Marrid - never heard of it

Martyn leaned over to look downward as they swept over the small group of
humans. There were only a few of them, he saw, and they weren't heading
toward the new warren. Instead, they seemed to have stopped to make camp,
as the small shelter they were erecting testified. This puzzled
him...didn't
they know how close they were to their goal?
*They're probably lost,* he told Havelok. *Take us down.*
As Havelok dropped lightly to the ground, Martyn saw two men out in
front of the shelter. Both of them were wearing plate-mail armor. Very
curious, he thought.
"Hello!" he shouted.
Sir Galloway looked up at the dragon that was decending on them quickly.
"Thank the gods that something is going right today! Alert the men and
prepare to move the wounded man, I am sure teh dragon will take him back to
the warren." ordered Galloway and then cupping his hands together he hailed
the dragon rider. "Hello! It is Galloway here!"
<Who's Galloway?> Martyn asked Havelok.
<I don't remember a Galloway at the warren or someone looking like him.>
replied Havelok as he landed.
"I am so pleased to see someone..." began Galloway "wait a minute I don't
recognise you. What is your name, and your dragons?"
"I am Martyn and this is Havelok." said Martyn "who are you?"
"I am Sir Galloway, in the service of the Queen Regent. You are not from
Renen Warren are you?"
"No you are minutes away from Marrid Warren, I have certainly never heard of
a warren called Renen. MAybe others at the warren have." said Martyn.
"It can wait, I have a wounded man, who won't survive the night unless he
recieves urgent medical attention."
"OK I'll take him straight back with me, though things at the warren are a
bit hectic at the moment."
Galloway waved to his men who brought the mounded soldier over on a crude
stretcher and with quite a bit of difficulty strapped him to the back of
Havelock.
Martyn sat on top of Havelok and spoke to Galloway.
"If you head northwest for about forty minutes, just over the second hill
you'll see the warren." with that Havelok rose into the air and disappeared
from sight.
"Tristan." said Galloway.
"Sir?"
"damned if I can fathom out where we are. Ever heard of Marrid?"
"No, but I can't for the life of me remember Renen."
Galloway shook his head and ordered the men to pack their packs and head for
the warren.
NRPG: Hope I played Martyn ok. Well there is a dying man appearing at the
warren any second. Galloway and his band of men will arrive about an hour
later.
Sorry I couldn't write anything more, but RL is a bit of a bugger right now!
James
