M'rdith enjoyed the brief flight on the dragon as they flew up. As they
leveled out the man pointed out a figure on the mountainside and they began
descending. The rider murmured something, but M'rdith didn't hear him, the
conversations between the dragons becoming more feverish as the information
was relayed to them.

The dragon landed and M'rdith was off the dragon in a flash, his old
training coming back to him as he hit the ground and dashed after the man,
who had began weaving his way down.

**What is he doing, doesn't he know.**

**Still working down here, may be using.**

**Be on our way very soon.**

M'rdith fought against the voices, focusing on following the man that was
attempting to evade them. This man was well-trained, to be certain, which
meant he probably had a few surprises. There! The man took a careful
couple of steps.

<Corragh! Tell the guy following me there's a trap coming up ahead!>

**The dragon's name is Hogarth and he will inform his rider, although he
was a bit confused as to where I was.**

<Did you tell him anything else?>

**No, I just relayed the message and went silent. You may have some
explaining to do after this is all done, though.**

<Fine, but we need to bring this guy down first.> M'rdith thought as he
quickly stepped over the tripwire the escapee had placed. It looked to be a
trigger of some sort. What it triggered M'rdith didn't want to know. He
saw the man 'round a corner and M'rdith followed quickly after. A flash of
steel came out as he came around and M'rdith had just the smallest amount of
time to dodge out of the way, the blade slashing across his left arm,
tracing a thin line of fire across it.

Turning to face his attacker, he reached down for his weapon, finding none.
M'rdith cursed audibly as he watched his assailant smile, knowing that he
held all the cards..
