       Kedrina thought for a few moments, her brow furrowed in
concentration.  "Well...why don't you have someone talk to him in your
stead?  Someone used to his way of thinking, someone who might be able to
turn his head, and get through his greedy little brain?"

       Sari had the grace to blush.  She wasn't used to this.  Well, she
*had* been, but it was years since she'd been treated as anything but a
rider.

         Sari chuckled softly.  "Don't worry, you'll be fine.  I never
thought my upbringing would be of value to the warren, but it seems its
needed in spite of me."

        Sarilyn sighed softly, and looked distinctly uncomfortable.  "Yes, I
am.  And I've tried hard to get over that fact, but it seems to haunt my
every move."  Taking a breath, she went on, hoping her father's reputation
wouldn't mess things up.  "I'm the daughter of the former Lord Aelxirn and
the current Lady Kedrina of Nambril."
