(DL-N) Finding Greta

[DL] Meena

The old woman looked at her, "You know your brother said the same thing.
What makes you thing you can get your father to listen anymore then Stont did."

Meena shrugged, "He won't listen to me. But he will listen to Norwall
Warren. He came to see me yesterday, spouting things about landbound law and
how he needed an heir now that Stont was dead. He want's my son. I can't let
him take him, not when there is another boy who has more right to Harkon's
lands then my son does."

"So he's pushing Lars off for another." she chuckled. "We wondered how he'd
do it. If he names your son heir, it won't matter that Lars deserves it."

Meena nodded, "I want to stop that from happening."

"Why would you deny your son, your fathers riches?"

"Because my son will be a dragonrider like his father," she didn't say the
other things the were on her mind. Things like how she would be damned if
she would let her father ruin her son's life as he had ruined hers and her
brothers.

The old woman nodded and motioned for the dragonriders to follow her. They
exited the bar through a back door and headed down a back alley. T'grat was
on guard knowing that back alley's behind bars were not the safest places to
be. But they continued on without incident.

The woman entered a shack and turned to make sure no one was following them.
Then she pushed a small rug aside to reveal a trap door. She knocked a small
code on the door before opening it.

"Why do you go to so much trouble?" asked T'grat.

The old woman frowned at him, "Because Harkon has promised to kill the boy
should he be found within the walls of Whitbarrow."

"He couldn't do that."

Meena nodded, "Yes, he could. Perhaps not by law, but the threat is there
none the less. He did the same thing to Devon. If we hadn't left for
Norwall, he would have had Devon killed."

They headed down the steps. The old woman closed the trap door above them
and they could hear her pull the rug back over it.

"What do you want?" they heard a female voice call.

"Greta?" asked Meena of the female figure that approached them, "I am Meena,
Stont's sister, I want to help."
