(DL-N) Meeting a mask...

A'shair came in from his patrol with nothing to report. He was worried
that something big was going to happen soon, the lull around the warren
was too long. As the sun grew higher in the sky, the pale man took
refuge in the main part of the warren. Walking around, he stopped in a
relatively secluded place and sat down on an outcrop of rock. 'Sirus,
are you as ancy as I am?' He asked, thinking on the useless patrol they
flew in the morning.

*Yes, I feel something in the air but can not place it. Any ideas?* the
dragon thought, and A'shair questioned.

'Something in the air?' He asked, confused.

*Yes, familliar, yet beyond my memory. Dragons are not very good at
things like that...*

'Hmmm.... perhaps we should tell the WarrenLady about this. I don't like
sitting around.' A'shair said, rubbing his hands together. He was a bit
cold.

*Yes, you should talk with her later.... I had just noticed that there is
a strange dragon here, a wilder. I've heard his rider is named Darrkon,
and wishes to join the warren.* Sirus said, and A'shair was suprised.

'I thought you never gossiped.' He said with a laugh in his thoughts.

*It wasn't gossip, just imformation. Really, you should know me better.*
The dragon sent with mock hurt.

'I know you well enough my dragon.' A'shair thought. 'It is cold in
these drafty caves.' He mentioned, really more of a thought to himself.

*Well, warm yourself up.* Sirus said. *Use your control.*

A'shair nodded to himself and concentrated, trying to control his mind.
Focusing, he opened up the fire inside him, manipulating it. There was a
ripple or air, and a flame started dancing infront of him, and A'shair
looked at it with amusement.

Changing it's shape, he turned the flame into a firey dragon, flying
around. *Good dragon child. I am impressed...* Sirus said, and A'shair
had to agree. His control was getting better. Putting it out, he
wondered about something. Concentrating on himself, he opened his mind.

The air around him seemed to ripple and grow warm, but not too hot. 'So
that is how it was done...' A'shair said in wonder, and cut it off.

*It seems you control fire through the air, heating it. Interesting...*
Sirus said, and A'shair laughed. There was a sound of a closing door and
footsteps from far off, and A'shair went into the shadows. A man walked
by slowly, his face covered by a mask.

*That must be Darrkon. Speak to him, he needs friends here...* Sirus
chided, but the man seemed to pause and looked at him.

"Who's there?" The man with the mask asked, walking towards him. A'shair
didn't know how he was seen, but spoke up.

"My name is A'shair, rider to Sirus. I was just sitting here thinking.
I hope I didn't alarm you..." He said, keeping his face buried beneath
his hood.
