(DL-N) A timely interruption....

<T'grat>

He stood in the kitchen doorway just watching her move around, the shirt she
wore barely covering her. She was graceful in her movements as she moved
from table to sink to stove preparing her cup of tea. She turned suddenly,
seeming to realise she was observed, and T'grat smiled at her confusion.

"You found everything you needed then?" he asked as he moved further into
the kitchen.

>"Yes, thank you." She motioned to the children sound asleep on the rug,
>"Lars and Alyne are quite comfortable as well. T'grat looked at the sleeping
>angels and smiled.

"Would you like some tea? I just made it. Or I could get you something to
eat...."

"No thanks. I don't think so..." he was distracted for a moment as she
brushed past him, her delicate perfume drifting round her like a cloud. "I
had something to eat earlier..."

She sensed his growing interest and made sure that he caught half-veiled
glimpses of her body as she prepared herself a sandwich. She knew the
attraction her sleek curves held for men and she took full advantage of it.
Setting her tea down on the table, she moved closer to him, smiling as she
heard his breathing speed slightly. Pressing close to him, knowing the
effect she was having, she wound her arms round his neck and drew his head
down, tracing his mouth with the tip of her tongue and then lightly nipping
his lower lip.

As he pulled back to protest she unbuttoned the shirt she was wearing and
let it drop from her shoulders, revealing the milky globes of her full
breasts to his fascinated gaze. She moved close and reached to unfasten the
buttons on his shirt... her fingertips caressing his chest as each button
popped open. With a groan he pulled her against him, allowing her to feel
his arousal as he kissed her warm mouth and ran his hands down her smooth
back....

"What are you doing to my mummy?" a high childish voice asked from behind
them, and T'grat leapt away from Greta like a scalded cat.

Turning round he saw they had an audience of two small children, flushed and
drowsy, but very aware of something going on between the two adults. Greta
hastily pulled the shirt closed and buttoned it as she gathered the children
to her and said,

"T'grat was just helping me darling. Why aren't you asleep?...."

"I woke up and was thirsty..." the little girl said, "and Lars said he
would get me a drink."

"There pet, I'll get you both a drink." Greta smiled apologetically over
the children's heads as she led them to the sink and filled water glasses.
"I'm sorry for the interruption...."

"No need..." T'grat protested quickly "It shouldn't have happened. I'll
leave you to see to your children and find somewhere else to spend tonight."

He turned and hurried towards his dragon's sleeping place, and her faint
mocking laughter followed him. He thumped Malachite to wake him and tried
to compose himself a little as he thought about where he could possible
spend the night....

*I told you that we should find a nice quiet lake somewhere.* his dragon's
thoughts were amused *I could have played with the children while you were
both otherwise occupied.*

*I think maybe I should have listened to you Mal.* T'grat told him ruefully
*A small child certainly knows how to dampen a man's ardour....*

The dragon's rumble of laughter vibrated through his body as he climbed up
and settled himself in the saddle. The pair moved out to the ledge and
looked around the bowl of the Warren where only a few lights still showed...

*Trouble is... Where do I go to get some sleep tonight? I suppose I could
go to the dragonet barracks, but then I'll have to explain why I didn't use
my own quarters.* T'grat thought *Or I could try going up to the lake for a
swim....*

*To dampen your ardour more perhaps?* Malachite snorted with laughter

*I can't just go anywhere... everyone will want an explanation from me.*

*Then that just leaves our Warrenlady doesn't it?* Malachite said slyly
*She already knows about Greta and she'll understand perfectly... and I'll
have a chance to catch up on all the gossip with Amethyst. You did know it
won't be long until she rises to mate again didn't you?*

<..>

"Oh I do wish I could have seen it.... it must have been so funny... the
great lover T'grat... foiled by a small girl...." Naomi giggled wildly as
T'grat finished his sorry tale "I'm so sorry T'grat... I know it's not that
funny...."

"Then why are you laughing so hysterically?" T'grat asked her, slightly put
out "Come on Naomi... stop!"

Naomi made an effort to compose her face "I promise to behave..." she said
solemnly "You're welcome to use the couch... for tonight... and as long as
you need. OK? You know where I keep spare blankets and such. Good night...."

He opened the chest where she kept her spare bed linens and started getting
pillows and sheets.....

"Oh T'grat..." she said "Next time... get a baby sitter... hmm?" She
ducked through the door, laughing as a pillow came flying through the air.....

<Naomi>

Naomi was just finishing a hastily grabbed breakfast when Meena showed up to
discuss how best to deal with her father.

"If I can't think of a way to get him to accept Lars I'm going to be forced
to keep my promise about Demee." Meena said worriedly "I don't want to let
him go Naomi..."

"It won't come to that." Naomi told her, comfortingly "We'll think of
something, somehow. Besides, Demee belongs here at the Warren."

"You don't know my father... once he sets his mind on something almost
nothing will change his mind." Meena warned her

"We'll manage" Naomi said again
