"Your dragon... Calindeth wants to meet me?"  said M'lent with some
amusement  "Well lead me to him lad!  A fully grown dragon and rider would
be an asset to the Warren if they are willing to fight as a unit.  Where'd
you leave him... east or west edge of town?"  M'lent slapped his head in
disgust  "Must be west... I left Ebony to the east and he'd have mentioned
seeing a fully grown dragon...."


*Ebony, take your lazy carcass over to the other side of town.  We've found
ourselves a dragon/rider duo  not just a searchling.  We're looking for a
dragon called Calindeth... a wilder by all accounts!*  M'lent sent quickly
"Ten minutes at most....*


*I'm on my way.*  he heard faintly 


He returned his attention to Darrkon;


"I've asked Ebony to meet us there, so I'd appreciate your warning Calindeth
to expect company.  I'm exceptionally fond of my dragons hide you see..."
M'lent said with a chuckle  


"Calindeth is prepared.  How can you be sure that Norwall will accept me?
Do you speak for the Warren as a whole?"  


"Had bad experiences with Warren riders before have you?"  M'lent asked,
understanding in his voice  "Figures lad, a lot of riders have no reason to
trust Wilders... many at Norwall more than most. But Naomi's more open
minded than that."


"Naomi would be your Warrenlady?"  M'lent nodded  "How can you be so sure..."


"... that she'll give you a fair hearing?  If you knew Naomi you wouldn't
need to ask that question.  Reserve judgement of us until you've met her,
lad."  He caught the look Darrkon sent  "I'd be wary too, if I were in your
shoes...."


The cramped streets of small cottages begun to give way to more open land
and fields, and  M'lent hurried forward to where Ebony and an unknown dragon
were waiting.


*Well Ebony?  Have you had time to become acquainted?  Would they fit in do
you think?*  M'lent asked as he eyed the slightly smaller beast waiting
beside his own dragon


*He'll do.  At least he didn't flame me on sight.  Doesn't talk much
though...*  Ebony was disgruntled, he loved gossip


M'lent turned to other man, 


"Ebony's a bit put out that he couldn't get Calindeth interested in
gossiping.  Seems he's too quiet... but then you don't have much to say for
yourself either do you.   You'll get along just fine with some of our
less...er... gregarious riders.  Willing to give us a chance lad?..."
